Oh my gosh I looked back at this and now I realize I actually have the understanding to play this I could if I worked hard at it one day soon! I’ve gotten a upgrade on my bow a different one not a starter bow anymore my bass still named Railroad but my new bow I call Swirl. I still play German bow and right now in my life is the biggest change for me and my bass moving where there’s no orchestra I might do community jazz band but I’m school I’ll do concert band with a bass..I might even learn the electric bass guitar not sure yet.

Omg I'm crying tears of joy. But I also dont understand how those that play double bass can do all the shifting when playing a song. I realized those in an orchestra never play many notes.

But tell me is it really possible to play every song out there on a double bass. I play violin btw so u have an idea of how you play string instruments.
Because I realized that there aren't many covers on UA-cam of this instrument. But I believe you got to put every single finger down when playing a note after Another. I think I realized that in the orchestra or you either have to shift for to play every note. Based on what I've seen in my class is what I think.
