As mentioned in the info box and a video annotation - nowadays I dampen my hair less and leave it up for about 40 minutes for a softer wave (may not work for all hair types). You can also *blow-dry the damp twist to speed the drying process*. Leaving it up for a few hours is specifically to allow it to air dry meaning it's less manual labour and therefore a bit easier. If you want a quicker result, *dampen it less before letting it dry, or blow dry the twist* (air drying may give a tighter wave/curl though). Regardless of how you do it, you can do errands/activities with your hair up like this while it sets, so it doesn't really matter! ^_^

I cleanse without shampoo, condtion with a silicne free condtioner, then apply a silicne free gel and plop and leave the plop for 2 hours, after plopping i scrunch a little and leave too air dry, no fuss. The entire active part of hair regime takes maybe 10 minutes max, i can even forgo the plopping if i have no place too be as it takes longer too dry without it, but it doesnt matter too much

ThatOneZombie1 You should try to not straighten your hair and do like heatless curls or waves (there are many videos showing how to do it) and with time,your hair will naturally curl again. My hairdresser told me this and I think it works,at least for me
They will go away only if your hair is damaged, just like when you bleach it too much, so make sure you use heat protectors when you straighten it. I take care of my hair and I've been straightening it all the time for 2-3 years but last week I stopped doing it and I kept my natural curls
