Sadly after that these two in few years we signed that French lamppost Giroud and fooled ourselves for a long time that he's good which he never was. Couldn't even lace the boot of Adebyor

Rarely a game where Cesc didn't shine
He even shone in that game ,the highlights don't do justice. He played deep and kept things ticking. RVP slotted in SS position to create with Adebyor in front and to use Walcott pace. Fabregas took the back step and didn't play attacking role that's why it seemed he wasn't in the game but that's not true
