I found kayaking kinda late in life, last summer, at age 54, but since then I take every chance I get to spend time on the water...usually by myself...still. But watching your vid has strengthened my desire to go on collective tours with a bunch of cool dudes who share that passion for paddling. Thanx for sharing your story and greeting from Germany.

My family used to rent a house for a week every summer on or near MDI. Sometimes in Hall Quarry, once on Grindstone Neck. I'm the last continuing sea kayaker in my family. Some of the best adventures/ conditions/ scenery/ wildlife I've ever experienced from any kind of boat has been in that area from my kayak. My favorite day was with my brother, island hopping in the fog and rain using chart and compass from the Bar Harbor boat ramp to the Ironbound Island sea caves and then back. Now that I know someone like you is in the area, I will definitely try and go back and have you as my guide- I like your approach and vision.

Loved it 🥰 Sitting here in my basement with a new kayak on the floor just loonging for my first trip. Close to 60 years and don’t want to waste a minute. Have tried it before. This video just confirmed how great it is to be on the water with friends. Thank you.
Lots of regards from Denmark - a country with a LOT of water close by.

I wish some of you could have joined me on my trip, at least through Maine. On May 1st 2017 I set out from Quoddy Head Light for Key West Florida. I had to be 3 miles offshore going down the Bold Coast. Maine was beautiful.

Great story ! A lot of the commentary in the video about why we kayak rang very true. For me it’s the ability to go where you want as fast or as slow as you like without being encumbered by limits of engines and fuel and a thousand bits of hardware. Great job you lucky lucky devils

Just found this, makes me want to get right back on the water (ha ha, just got home from paddling). Go to Stonington a couple of times a year, the Maine coast is very special.

Tremendous! You really captured the "spiritual" aspect of the experience. I have only done multi day flat water trips...sometime soon I want to tackle the area you paddled. Thanks and peace...(oh, and Tullamore Dew for all)

Great job on this video, captures what it’s all about. If you don’t mind my asking, what is the instrumental track that plays when you’re having music around the campfire?

If you have a good dry suit, you should be fine and hypothermia is not likely.
