considering it was a broken lens and the camera was old, you did a great job. It's a shame that they torn it down but I suppose the elements got to it and rotted a majority of the wood
Too bad you couldn't have asked for permission to salvage stuff. Someone could use some of that, I'm sure. Use, sell, or donate to charity shops, etc. I hate seeing beautiful old houses torn down if they could be fixed.
Not fully furnished. A few bits here and there. Wish people would move around slower when they do these things. People never seem to stop long enough for us to take in the surroundings and look at each thing. Oh and that music, it was overkill. Not to be critical, just giving you my 2 cents to help you. I was glad when your voice came on. It's a shame it was torn down, it looked to be in good sound condition, those wooden floors were beautiful.
Nice music, When I watch videos like this it makes me wonder what happend that made the owner of the house leave the house fully furnished or with most things there.
+Michele Huffman Did you see the busy road in front of the house? That happens a lot: the older homes are on one of the first roads in town and then the population explodes and they are now on a major highway. If you had a house that needed some heavy rehab, you'd think twice about plunking down big bucks to restore it. Developers LIKE the busy roads.
All watching these videos does it PISS ME OFF EVEN MORE AT THE BANKS AND HOUSING LOAN INDUSTRY. If there is any justice may every single individual that profited off all this loss rot in hell and suffer for all eternity.
a lot of housing you can't live in because they have black mold or some other major problem you can't see, and it is too expensive to make it legally habitable again.
Well, to just assume that people living above their means, that they chose to not keep up their end of a contract and are not taking personal responsibility has to be behind all such abandoned houses, is equally ignorant! The world, and people's situations are one heck of a lot more complicated than that! But, I see how it is very comfortable to look at it that way - the real truth is a lot more pesky, I guess...
itz furnished... not evry piece of furniture.... but there's some there... did u not notice tha tables, trSh bins, computer stuff, desks, shelves, filing Cabs, chair...... Even empty beer cans.. 😂
we had a very importantly historical house like this in Denver, CO. It was a huge mansion, very old, built in the 1890's. Idiots broke in and set it on fire. whole place burned down. Ironic thing is the house was right across the street from a police station. I wish I could remember the name of the place.
I just got back from Mississippi, the old abandon house of Jerry Lee Louis. A sad sight, the house is falling down but still beautiful. I wanted to explore but was afraid I would get caught. It was built in 1814, and he lived there with his 3rd wife. It is believed to be haunted by the Tays sisters, the last of the family who built it.
You wouldn't think that a piece of history would be torn down. But I guess it can, Its a shame. It was a beautiful house. The attic alone was my favorite part. To bad they couldn't have deemed it a historic property and fixed it back up to its glory days with antique furniture and a great tour of the house. It had a great back story. RIP beautiful house.
This was one of the oldest homes in Florida... belonged to the Reasoner's family. They own the Royal Palm Nursery in Florida. Sad to see it go, but no one would move it, and the family had spent 100s of thousands of dollars in upkeep.
I can see a lot of restoration that has been done, especially the cabintry, modern insulation, etc. The wood floors are beautiful. Yep, this one can be restored.
I love abandoned places and especially when people leave their stuff!! Idk what it is that makes me like snooping lol ,, why all the blurry times in this recording? What are you using to record with?
back stairs would have been for the staff, cooks etc. they often lived in the attic. what is especially bizarre is that it all looks relatively good, like one day the gas station came in and said we will give you a million dollars if you pack a suitcase and be out by Friday.
thx for sharing this video. You did a good job in a short period of time. I always wonder why they don't let someone salvage the place and get the usable things to those who can use them, before they raze these old places.
Great footage, wonder why you see so many abandoned beautiful homes these days, it kinda annoys me as there's so many people needing somewhere to stay and others leaving their homes, so many shopping malls being abandoned as well with power still on , what a waste of energy.
People have lots of money, big houses and when they die they have no one to leave anything behind for. They just abandon everything and they are gone for ever. Lots of abandoned houses in the city where I leave. Lots of people are complaining that the houses have been sitting there and no one is living in those houses for yrs on end. The City should follow on those abandoned houses and do something about it. Sad
This is great! That is the kind of place i hope to find and explore one day! It is so exciting and kind of creepy to think about what made someone leave their home like this? Also, if this had been in Denmark, it would have been totally destroyed by graffiti painters..
That was cool! My best guess is that it was used by an organization of some sort; tons of boxes (records, presumably) in the attic; a stack of folding chairs; certificate for a pest control company on the wall; an abandoned collection of framed certificates. Yeah, lots of absolute junk, but I would've swiped that rather nice red chair. Hopefully a lot of the nice wood got recycled.
This is an abandoned nursing home. That was patients property boxes sent by their families. Maybe never delivered to the patient? I know by the layout and the medical supplies. I knew a person who ran one like this. It has a homey feel even though it is shared rooms and such. Usually these are private homes for the elderly and extremely disabled. Much nicer than the state run nursing homes, don't you think?
it's sad that it was torn down...... people would rather do that then sell it for a lower price to someone who would take care of it..... like we really need another gas station.
Fully furnished? Gorgeous old house. Shame someone doesn't live there. Forgive me (teacher)...attic, not addict/attict. Sorry! Reflex. Love the video, thank you. xx
Bunny Mad Ugh! Really? Teacher or not grammar nazi's are annoying! Your correction of his spelling proved you knew what he meant....so did the rest of us literate viewers. It's really not necessary so, no need to prove yourself, take a break from your day job, relax, & just enjoy a simple video. It is a lovely video, btw (acronym for, "by the way").
😂 Goodness me. What a lecture from such a relaxed person. 🤣 Unbunch your undies. lol Happy Easter! I'm sure the OP knows what BTW, means. 😉 And, Nazis, doesn't need an apostrophe....... 😜
+Natalie Rangkla Here you can also find out about the beginning history of the house which was named "Beth Salem". www.royalpalmnurseries.com/beth_salem/photos.html
Perhaps the owners took their most personal items and left the rest beind. If the gas station chain wanted to put a station at that location they could have paid a good chunk of chance to the home owners who in turn took their valuables and then left the rest behind.
I think it's really really sad that old old homes are being neglected and demolished! With so much of that sort of stuff. I don't think we will have many left at all & I hate it! I definitely would save every Victorian if I had the 💰
At first I really liked the music and the house; but then the music combined with the camera moving too quickly from one thing to the next, I ended up pausing the whole thing before I got to 2:30. I think my head hurts. Great house, and good find though!
+Claire Mahony i just stopped by and found it open. i was a little scared that there was some one in there.i think my hand was shaking i was also worried that the cops might show up. probably the most scared i'd been in a while. a few months later this place was torn don.
My grandparents had a nice old large house. It was lived in by her son until 1997 when he died of a heart attack. We sold it in not too good shape. I would not have considered moving there with my two kids. Those old wooden houses are fire death traps. In fact, the neighbors house of similar construction burned down several years ago killing the occupant.
They obviously had to flit after going broke, sometime after the water utility cancelled them by the look of that toilet. Water is the last utility to cut you off too, so they must have hung in as long as they could.
No way would I go into one of those abandoned mansions without a pistol. For all you know, some crazy squatter could be living there and charge out of nowhere with a machete.
Could you revisit this house with a better camera?.. btw, this house could still pretty well be loved eh lived in also- the rate of decay depends on where it is (in a dry climate it renains well preserved pretty long, in wet climate zones it is gone before you know it when exposed.. of course..)
that house is cool. sad that its sitting there rotting. if the calendar is right then its been there 16 years without anyone. hope u cam work on ur recording method. it was hard to see much. thanks.
makes you double think about anything new you may be contemplating getting, whether it is not really needed, and will it be left behind in a cast off pile of dust and mold...
use a black light in the basement in dark night maybe you will see why that house is enchanted the same way i left it 97 years i left it covered with unrecoverable stain on 3 layers above the portal i used to travel between cycles to come back in this time again
You did a great you a cell phone .thank you kindly for sharing it Thinking maybe was elderly person living their .That might have passed away .Or family had to move and only took what they could at the time . Either way kind of sad it wasn't maintained

some families just die off...its sad to think about cause hell one day my whole family will be gone and one of the homes that will be abandond could possibly be one of ours.......sometimes you just cant control life and how it will end and who will get what and it just stays there the day one dies or nobody ever shows up to collect the stuff and it just sits......and sits over time......its sad .....and honestly im not gonna lie its got me thinking here righ tnow about thwta wioll happen to our homes when we pass.......it scares me but i'll be dead one day.......and theres nothing I can do about it
There is a couple bought abandone mansion for 14's year's with price $350.000-$500.000 can you imagine how much you must pay for abandone mansion more than 30's year
every one will be happy to know i have a new camera, and a new channel here. for more abandon videos, ua-cam.com/channels/IQrSxOc3EfSiTMRDRjG1Qg.html

they did salvage alot of stuff,
BMrJonswift200
Loved it and well done for what you had to work with. Thank you so much.
Not fully furnished. A few bits here and there. Wish people would move around slower when they do these things. Thanks for filming. I hate seeing good old houses getting torn down. what a shame.
me too
those 2 chars in the end were pretty cool :P
fully furnished?
I want to start a salvaging company... those hardwood floors are amazing.
It is kind of strange...seems people just seem to disappear.
Sad to see a piece of history rot away
+Aussie Andy the people who owned it, used it for an office then out grew it and got a bigger space.
Nice music, When I watch videos like this it makes me wonder what happend that made the owner of the house leave the house fully furnished or with most things there.
WHAT A SUPER NEAT HOUSE. LOVE THE ROOM ARRANGEMENT AND THOSE BEAUTIFUL FLOORS. SO SAD IT WAS TORN DOWN.
+Michele Huffman Did you see the busy road in front of the house? +Michele Huffman indeed that house still looks good...and very well kept despite its old age
+Maria Nunez True.
Michele Huffman I'll take the attic room if no one else does. Lol
Love the attic,
All watching these videos does it PISS ME OFF EVEN MORE AT THE BANKS AND HOUSING LOAN INDUSTRY. If there is any justice may every single individual that profited off all this loss rot in hell and suffer for all eternity.
+thehappyhoof I'd actually lean to something like that in this case. Some type of foreclosure.

+djtonylee camera
Its located in the land fill, unfortunately it was torn down.:(
Dont know
Good one. Lol
Haunted? Are you 5 years old?
Why do you go so fast and not take a little longer in the rooms exploring? I thought that's what these channels are, exploring the abandoned
I dont see where its fully furnished?
itz furnished... not evry piece of furniture.... but there's some there... did u not notice tha tables, trSh bins, computer stuff, desks, shelves, filing Cabs, chair...... Even empty beer cans.. 😂
colleen barnard Yeah it makes me wonder if he just has a chair in his house and thinks it's fully furnished lol
ya dumass
I love those floors. Those things are worth a fortune.
I love the look of old buildings
Great house! Had lots stuff could have been salvaged too.
... paved paradise to put up a parking lot..... how tragic. I won't even throw away a dish if I think someone somewhere would use it.

there is some sort of relaxing ZEN about watching these types of videos...

to much out of focus and spanning around to much i can not see anything
I would have never guesed it would look so good on the inside compared to out! TY great video! I would live in it and fixit up :)
thx , unfortunatly they didn't feel the same.
I can see a lot of restoration that has been done, especially the cabintry, modern insulation, etc. The wood floors are beautiful. Yep, this one can be restored.
It was lovely! And was still fully inhabitable such A shame it was torn down
I love abandoned places and especially when people leave their stuff!! Idk what it is that makes me like snooping lol ,, why all the blurry times in this recording? What are you using to record with?
its explained in the text of the video at the beginning

actually they did salvage some materials. some of the door cases where gone and the fireplace and the Bannister was gone.
Spooky attic! Bet the missing window was stained glass!

thanks your answer; congratulations on your vídeos.

fully furnished with what,a nice toilet, and boxes full of stuff
This is great! That is the kind of place i hope to find and explore one day! It is so exciting and kind of creepy to think about what made someone leave their home like this?

what a tragedy to tear that gorgeous home down. so sad. 😥
For A Gas Station
Is the food in the fridge100 yrs old as well??

i think they did salvage some of the wood, fire place ect.
The toilets must get restless in abandoned places, they never seem to be able to stay in place :) Pretty amazing old place!
tore down lots of nice homes to build highways, didn't have video camera's back then
This is an abandoned nursing home. That was patients property boxes sent by their families. Maybe never delivered to the patient? I know by the layout and the medical supplies. Oh that's great! 👍👍👍
How was it torn down to build a gas station if it was the national historic register?
what was that noise at the end lol
love the porch
Perhaps the owners took their most personal items and left the rest beind. If the gas station chain wanted to put a station at that location they could have paid a good chunk of chance to the home owners who in turn took their valuables and then left the rest behind.

Thought the place was going to have vintage furnishings, I was disappointed.
At first I really liked the music and the house; but then the music combined with the camera moving too quickly from one thing to the next, I ended up pausing the whole thing before I got to 2:30. I think my head hurts. Great house, and good find though!

a few months later this place was torn don.
so what was the noise at the end. sounds like a shot and shell casing hitting the floor
+Jeff Rice one never knows?
+Jeff Rice just a sound effect, i down loaded.
+MrJonswift200 yeah that was my guess or you had a friend in the background. anyway thanks for the video. wish i could explore these abandoned places.
seems for 100 years old was pretty cleaned up. usually you would see webs, spiders the kitchen cupboards looked good
AS A REHABBER I ALSO KNOW YOU NEVER OPEN A REFRIGERATOR... BLECH>>>
Who knows what treasures are in all those boxes. It's a shame no one claimed this home.
Why the residents had left from this house?
What state and town was this in?
My grandparents had a nice old large house. It was lived in by her son until 1997 when he died of a heart attack. We sold it in not too good shape. I would not have considered moving there with my two kids. Those old wooden houses are fire death traps. "Quick grab all the food and forget the furniture."
They obviously had to flit after going broke, sometime after the water utility cancelled them by the look of that toilet. Water is the last utility to cut you off too, so they must have hung in as long as they could.
Is this place for sale I wonder ?
That's gross how there's still food in the fridge it's probably moldy
No way would I go into one of those abandoned mansions without a pistol. For all you know, some crazy squatter could be living there and charge out of nowhere with a machete.

How does one find these Places? I would love to go exploring
i drive around looking for places. thats the only way ive been able to find any thing,
I could spend all day in a place like that, they are so hard to find tho!
makes you double think about anything new you may be contemplating getting, whether it is not really needed, and will it be left behind in a cast off pile of dust and mold...
your camera isnt focusing very good and your going to fast.nice house though
+Lefty Jones probably cause i was by myself and scared to death ha ha
So what happened at 3:21 that made your turn out of the room and cut video
the ghost didnt want to be on camera.
what the hell happened at the end of the video? It scared the crap out of me!😂😂😂
that was what was supposed to happen
good exploring nice old house the music was annoying though
use a black light in the basement in dark night maybe you will see why that house is enchanted the same way i left it 97 years i left it covered with unrecoverable stain on 3 layers above the portal i used to travel between cycles to come back in this time again
where's this manner located?
it was in bradenton,fl
Was that a Bob Ross painting?
This in BRADENTON FL?
yes
yup
Patrick Murphy I live in b-town...is this in harbor hills??
This house reeks of loneliness. You can feel it just watching this video!
WOW! But of course another gas station was sorely needed!
You did a great you a cell phone .thank you kindly for sharing it
Thinking maybe was elderly person living their .That might have passed away .Or family had to move and only took what they could at the time .
Either way kind of sad it wasn't maintained
I wouldn't exactly call this manor "fully furnished" but the previous occupant(s) did leave quite a bit behind, even their pest control license. It also looked like the previous occupant was running some sort of business out of the home. I say that because the attic looks like the back of a CSI evidence room. I can tell it was a really nice house when it was fully intact. I'm wondering why the previous occupant(s) left so much behind, as if they were in a haste to get out of there....makes you wanna go..hmmmm!
I thought this house was in Florida just by seeing the vegetation. then at the end the certificate on the wall confirmed it.
Why do you think people just walk away and leave everything
Do you know why it went abandoned ?
TheRockIzBack yes, they want o get rid of the house to build a gas station there.they tried selling the house but no one ended up buying it.
This business owner probably got caught up, sucked in and spit out of the 08 real estate bust! He probably financed this house to the max......lost all his money, the bank foreclosed and he fore-went.
I loved the servant-stairs in the kitchen. I wonder if it was built for that or designed to replicate that? Because people stopped having servants/slaves quite a while ago or....have they? :)
It looks like they left if a big hurry and left their stuff. I wonder why?
who owns these houses now usually they knock them down
why did they tair the house down?
needed a gas station
This looks like it was a business here and then they moved out. Shame the place was torn down. It was still in good shape and just needed a little fixing.
such a shame that it was torn down. at that age in the uk it would of been a protected building
A gas station?
Is it legal for you do be in there?
Probably someone in a nursing home. Estate problems. I would have loved to go through the boxes.
What happend to the people?
thank you---love it
much appreciated
Time travel? I heard that! Cut it out! LOL
some families just die off...its sad to think about cause hell one day my whole family will be gone and one of the homes that will be abandond could possibly be one of ours.......sometimes you just cant control life and how it will end and who will get what and it just stays there the day one dies or nobody ever shows up to collect the stuff and it just sits......and sits over time......its sad .....and honestly im not gonna lie its got me thinking here righ tnow about thwta wioll happen to our homes when we pass.......it scares me but i'll be dead one day.......and theres nothing I can do about it
awww that's sad that they had to torn it down
Poor camera focus...would have liked to have seen what I was looking at
+Moeshe Hatley some times i wake up at night in a cold sweat and think damn! if i had only focused that damn camera! ha ha
