I love the modern supercompressor Longines Legend Diver, but can't wear it because the lugs are so damn long! Out of frustration, I try and recreate my version of the watch based on the Seiko SNGZ with parts from Yobokies and Crystaltimes.

What would be a good Seiko donor for this mod that is approximately 40mm as opposed to 42?
I don't think you can use a smaller case if you want to have the outter bezel. You can just use the dial and graft that on to something like a SNK.

Great job. Well done. Is it well "water sealed " ? Also I try to find the components on the sites you mention,but it is not easy. Maybe discontinued.
The water resistance is gonna be lackluster without a screw down crown. Yeah unfortunately these mod sites aren't the most user friendly. Takes a lot of digging around.

I love to watch videos of seikos getting modded but the truth is that they usually turn out looking a bit weird and almost always worse than the original donor watch, especially the SKX mods, but this mod looks really balanced and a vast improvement on the original Seiko. As for long lug length offenders you've got to mention Nomos, some of their models look so odd.
And the most thoughtful comment goes to... Morgan again! Nomos is the biggest offender in my mind as well. The lugs on the tangente...wtf?
@@WatchCrunchOfficial Thanks Max for the award 😂, I'm wearing a 42mm Omega planet Ocean 1st generation, 14.5mm thick with 48mm lug lenths and it hugs my 6.75 inch wrists, it's great watch making. This is the same lug length as the 38mm Nomos Orion with an 8.8mm thickness. The Nomos world is so strange.

Fantastic build and very well made video! Truly great! Did you by chance consider using an SRPB27j "Seiko Compressor" for this? I'm not sure it would be any better then yours aesthetically, but it would have that internal rotating bezel. Secondly, not to shamelessly self-promote, but check out some of my vids and let me know what you think. I would genuinely appreciate your input 😊

The SRPB27 looks cool! I don't think it would accept the Yobikies bezel, but I can see you retaining the original one and replacing the hands and maybe dial to get a custom look. You should try it!

The real Longines Legend Diver watch looks better than yours. I'll stick with the original.
