- SpaceX is targeting Friday, March 17 at 12:26 p.m. PT (19:26 UTC) for a Falcon 9 launch of 52 Starlink satellites to low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. If needed, there is an additional launch opportunity the same day at 4:24 p.m. PT (23:24 UTC). Backup opportunities are also available on Saturday, March 18 at 12:12 p.m. PT (19:12 UTC) and 4:10 p.m. PT (23:10 UTC).
The first stage booster supporting this mission previously launched NROL-87, NROL-85, SARah-1, SWOT, and three Starlink missions. Following stage separation, Falcon 9’s first stage will land on the Of Course I Still Love You droneship stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
A live webcast of this mission will begin about five minutes prior to liftoff. - Наука та технологія
I like this commentator. Not overly verbose or noisy but giving the right information calmly and interestingly. Nothing wrong with the usual commentators but this is something new and refreshing.
Yep 100% agree, like a friend showing you their hobby without going overboard.
@@tbrowniscool Well put, though I'd point out the original webcast fellow, John Insprucker, had a similar style. Either way, this is more the style I enjoy, as well.
@@MicahTischler As I commented in my own original comment Jonathan Dweck has become my THIRD favorite SpaceX Mission Host/Announcer! After John Insprucker and Jessie Anderson he really is just the bees knees!
OMG this guy needs a full time job an the SpaceX announcer. I swear I have come to loathe the phrase "maximum dynamic pressure...", this more casual commentary was much more enjoyable. The average viewer isn't an engineer or scientist and really doesn't want the all the technical verbiage.
Watching SpaceX landing will never, ever get old. Having grown up watching the Shuttle, this will always be evergreen!
So agree with u my friend. It never gets old or boring watching the boosters land by themselves & space X rockets 🚀 takeoff.
Agreed. It won't get old until the Chinese Communists can figure out how to steal this technology, and by then I'll be long gone.
totally, I always choose 'notify me' 3 dif YT channels when they publish "upcoming" so as to never miss a 'nailed landing' !!!
lol aln
It wasn’t even SHOWN. Really lame to show it already landed in profile and nothing of an actual observer’s point of view. Makes you wonder why.
I've been watching rocket launches since the '60s, still haven't gotten bored of them yet.
This is still so awesome. To land the booster like that. Wow.
179 successful landings! Phenomenal!
They make it look so easy...It's very impressive!
I was out in Melbourne Florida watching CRS27 live and it was mind blowing to watch the first stage come back… what SpaceX is doing is incredible.
Would absolutely love to see that happen.
Great video Jonathan! You must be so proud to work for SpaceX and then being able to tell the world your story. Well done, you’re doing such great work!
Every time I watch a launch. I focus on that “thin blue line”. The quicker we’re multi planetary the survival rate increases. Thanks for sharing.🚀🚀🚀👍
Thanks, SpaceX! Especially sweet landing today! Watched via Starlink, two counties away from Canada! 🌲🐺🦌😎✌️
you should celebrate with -rotten-fish- Surströmming
This never gets old. Space X is so on point every time. Just amazes me how they bring back the first stage and lands it directly in the middle of the target every single time. Space X is so far beyond anyone else and Space X looks so cool!
Of course, I still love watching these launches!
Two launches same day, wow, Two launches same day same space port even better!
Enjoying the narators calm cadence. more please.
Congratulations and well done, SpaceX
And kudos on a very good narration to you, Johnathan. It was clear, concise, crisp, and smooth. Well done. 😃
Outstanding, every time I watch, well done people.
Spacex are the best. Never get tired of watching this.
Anyone else notice the ring shaped UAP near the booster at T+4:38 ? Awesome!
Yeah. What was that thing?
@@No-Lo_Crypto Clearly artificial. Either space junk or something else.
Was thinking the same - at 120 km altitude!
What was that????
What's that @13:18 it's not the space station 🧐🤔
Amazing launch, I swear there was less smoke after booster landing than normal! that gave a way better view.
I started becoming a space geek in the 60's watching Alan Shepard and have never been more excited than I am now. Spacex has made the impossible seem possible again. Can't wait for Starship with it's powerful 33 raptors to launch... followed by what Spacex brings to the future of space exploration.
Congrats, SpaceX. I like this new presenter's style.
Niiice Falcon 9, Starlink, Spacex ✨✨✨
that was a fast mission!
Just amazing, every time spot on.
179 booster landing that is incredible
Great Job 👍
Go Falcon, go Starlink!! ❤🎉🚀🚀🚀
We need Starlink everywhere!
This was incredible to see in real life last week! First rocket launch in person.
These sure are fun to watch. Amazing stuff. 🍀🍀
super proud of having worked on 1071, this was my first rocket i ever worked on.
to many more!
Congratulations on your 17th launch and for the year. 👍👍👍
Solid as a rock. Incredible...
I'd like to hear this commentator more often 😊
Great job, SpaceX!
Bravo, SpaceX!
Saw it from Santa Barbara!
Beautiful ❤❤❤
Wow, what an exciting time.
Another Sweet landing!!!!!!!!!
Never gets old
179 landings. Just let that sink in. I follow SpaceX since the beginning and i KNEW they would change the landscape of rocketry. Now lets shape our future
Majestic!
Another happy landing
When it comes to cooking Gordon is an absolute expert at roasting literally anyone for the flaws in their approach to it
Huh?
So cool.
Awesome
Not quite there yet with the subtitles * Giggles pitch count garlic*. Another great launch though. Keep up the good work SpaceX.
For some reason I thought this launch wasn't happening for a few more hours. Not sure how I screwed that up. The replay was awesome, as usual.
I think there is a 2nd launch today SES18+19.
I bought starlink last week as I can't afford to buy a house in Australia. Building a boxtruck to be a motorhome in case I ever need it, as we were so close to houselessness last year. Will never be homeless though! Thankyou, starlink!
So cool. Would be cool to see the satellites released
13:53 thanks for that reminder. i forgot what starlink was for a minute there.
Thanks, and congratulations! 👌🙂👍
My friend was on a flight and saw the rocket unreal picture
The Vanderburgh TE always reminds me of a Praying Mantis patiently hunting its prey.
That’s so cool
loveing world and 22 😮
9 minutes and it's all over. Wow,
There is a Stargate floating past the stage one booster at 13:17 Look on the left side you'll see it.
Don't be silly.
@@TheEvilmooseofdoom My name is Daniel Jackson ... I know what it is.
Sir Richard looks to be tossing in the towel this week. 😢 Love the competition but SpaceX is running away with it now. Go Star Ship!
what was that ring floating through the 1st stage video at about 4:38????
Always a blast to watch another lauinch!
It UFR (Unknown flying ring).
Ice.
Most likely a ring of nitrogen ice formed around the nozzle of the upper thrusters, most of the time they look like irregular debris, but sometimes they form a complete ring, its pretty common to see them on the first stage footage🕵♂
There is now more recovered boosters flights than ALL of projects Mercury Gemini Apollo Skylab Apollo/Mir and Shuttle flights (prior to ISS). Propulsive landing of a Human rated vehicle can't come soon enough.
This was my first ever rocket launch live!
The best part is second stage ignition
Oh come on - every time 🎉

Every time, every stinking time I see that land I get goosebumps and tingles. Elon Musk is the steely-eyed muscle Man. 5️⃣E clean sweep outstanding SpaceX.
miss the shuttle ❤❤❤❤
Me too. I used to work in Mission Control. Nonetheless, starship will soon give us far more capability than even the Shuttle did.
Gj team
Two launches in one day, looking forward to the second one. Of course, what I'm really looking forward to, whether it is a Falcon 9 or a Starship, is the day when they conduct two launches in one day from the same pad.
How come the Vandenberg launch complex does not have the big lightning rods around it that most other launch facilities have? Are thunderstorms just much rarer there?
Dr MusK Nr1 💪💪✌️💪👍🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️
We want starship launches, already!!
Well, my guess is you're going to have to wait till June or July.
My sweet Papi❤
Omg 13:16 a ring-like space ship quietly and softly observing the booster
I think that is the stiffener ring off of the second stage engine.
❤Yemen❤
👏👏👏
"In Rod We Trust"
18th launch of 2023! 🎉😊
11:35 flat! thanks!!!!
Next get ready
Ah buggers i missey it. Well there is another launch later so maybe i am gonna catch that one
wow--amazing
👏🏼👏🏼
True milestones of transformation; @Tesla vehicles, Satellites, Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, Starship, and more! Success is being part of corporations #President @ElonMusk, amazing team @SpaceX! Every release is amazing #president @ElonMusk love you so much my Cowboy!
Wonderful landing video shot, please may you assist with how the Groups work e.g this mission was group 2 - 8 . What is the number 2 and 8 ?
The satellites are being formed into shells around the planet. This is the eighth group in the second shell.
@@odysseusrex5908 Thanks for the info, does each launch equate to 1 group e.g next launch will be Group 2 - 9? Also how long will it take for Group 2 - 8 to be activate(be able to beam internet). Also, i noticed that the mini v2s where put on a different group altogther? What SpaceX is doing is really amazing, exciting times ahead.
Question: What was the ring that passed under the booster around the 13:19 minute mark????
Most likely a ring of nitrogen ice formed around the nozzle of the upper thrusters, most of the time they look like irregular debris, but sometimes they form a complete ring, its pretty common to see them on the first stage footage.
13:00 UAP in the middle, then some strange ring 13:17 ? Something to do with separation I suppose?
What was the circular object below Stage 1 at 13:19 that just entered sunlight before it was out of sight ?
aliens.........
just joking
I think it was the stiffener ring off the second stage engine, but I could be wrong.
@@odysseusrex5908 Thanks for a reply
Oooo
Not only reusable, yet modular!

Is anybody else ready for the Starship?
I've been salivating over that beast for many months now. I have finally given up expecting it to happen soon. I'm guessing the launch will be in June or July.
I m late, too bad
Seems like the acceleration was irregular from launch until about 500 km/h. Wonder if there was an engine issue on startup.
Starlink is the heaviest payload F9 carries and is always slow off the pad
probably the decoupler ring that seperated the booster from the second stage, dont take my word for it tho
👍👍👍👍
The title track, starts with G.
They make landing boosters so routine you keep asking why no one else even tries.
Others are working on it. Blue Origin, Rocket Lab, and Relativity Space are all working on developing landable boosters. So are several others. It's just going to be a while before they get there. The trouble is, by the time any of them develop a competitor to Falcon 9, Starship will be operational.
@SpaceX What is that rounded thing appeared flying in the left screen behind the left flap on 13:19?!
Ice. Happens on every launch.
@@TheEvilmooseofdoom Ice?! this is something round and has obvious shape floating..!
@@TheEvilmooseofdoom 99/100 that would be the correct answer, but if you look it's actually a metal ring/spacer or similar.
At time 13:19 on this video there is a solid ring to the left of and below the first stage that can be seen. Does anyone know what it is?
Most likely a ring of nitrogen ice formed around the nozzle of the upper thrusters, most of the time they look like irregular debris, but sometimes they form a complete ring, its pretty common to see them on the first stage footage.
Mach 10+??? Incredible
Standard for an orbital launch.
What's that at 18:19? Some kind of fire extinguisher?
