This is the camera that introduced the lithium-ion battery to the consumer market. A piece of technology history, though you'd never know it.
That’s interesting 🤔
I have a CCD-TR2, except that one's completely un-usable (the battery door is broken off and missing), hope to get another one soon
Is that one also Japanese? And this one fully works it’s just not usable because of the caps
@@brandoncameracollection It is...the TR2 is just a TR1 with additional features
black image with icons still on the screen? the iris might just be stuck closed, giving it a few slaps on the side while it's on could fix it.
but if it's broken any more than that you're kinda screwed, since the electronics are absolutely STUFFED in it, making it extremely difficult to take apart and put back together.
absolutely amazing piece of engineering getting all those features in such a small package in the early 1990s.
Hey thanks for the tip 😁 I’ll definitely try that. And yeah I think my favorite cameras are probably from the early to mid 90s
the camera is from 1993 because i looked at the manual of the camera and it had a date on it and also you should try out the tr64 or 94 or the 44 models there rilly good i have the sony ccd tr64 from 1995
Are they Japanese or English? I’d like to stay away from Japan modals if I could
the TR64, TR44 and TR94 models are all American units
@@CycloneCordVHS I think you should try out the TR64 or 94 they're better and they record LP mode
Im getting one this week. Im worried this has no steadyshot :(
I’m not quite sure. Especially cuz I can’t read Japanese haha so idk what is what
I have a Sony pd170 and unfortunately they do not have the nightshot mode would you recommend an IR light attatchment to be close to the effect along with a lens filer?
I know it doesn’t relate to the video but I’ve seen you cover the camera before just looking for some help
Nightshot camera move a glass within the camera in front of the sensor. The IR cut filter to be exact. You could look at kolari clip filters and try to rig it, however I don't recommend this. It would be best to grab a camcorder with Nightshot.
I shouldve watched this first I think I just broke mine
