What a great place to grow up in. Really enjoyed seeing the landscape during our walk there.

A beautiful circular walk, I don't so much as get vertigo more a Lemming feeling. I really enjoyed the history on the way round, too. Thanks for sharing.

I am not sure what a 'lemming feeling' is!. My dictionary says it's a rodent🤔.Anyway whatever it means you got enjoyment from the history on route. As ever all down to Michael. Thanks Chris.🙂

@CountrysideWalking Lemmings jump off cliffs. When I get close to the edge of anything, I get this feeling of falling over the edge. it is a weird feeling. So I keep well away from edges.

@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling Strangely that's what Michael said lemmings meant. I think my fear is slipping or tripping over.😯

Lovely...i find your walks so relaxing, although i don't think you could relax on the narrow path with the steep drop...i love listening to Michaels knowledge of the areas that you walk.

Thanks for kind comments Steve. Yes. Michael is fountain of knowledge so I am lucky on that score. Glad it's not just me that has a thing about narrow footpaths with vertical side drops. Never been my favourite side of walking. Hope you and Karen keeping well. Have nice weekend.

There are so many good walks close to both of us aren't there. We have done parts of this walk around the three reservoirs. Musbury Heights looks like a must do. Unfortunately Jeanie has been suffering for a while with back problems so we are taking things easy at the moment. Great guitar playing (presumably on the keyboard).

Hi Steve thanks for comments. It's good to share ideas about new places for visiting. Sorry to read Jeanie has back problems. I do hope she improves sufficiently to start walking again. my own guitar and instrumental arrangements follows the intro guitar.

Yet another place on my to-visit list! Lovely views again here Shanita. Ogden Reservoirs are pretty common, aren't they? We've got one here in Derbyshire too quite close to where I live. I did smile at Michael's comment when he was holding that pine cone! 😅 That narrow path near the end did look pretty scary from where I was sat. Loved "Passing By", enjoyed the gentle guitar chords 👍

Interesting you have an Ogden Reservoir in Derbyshire too. Never realised how popular a name for a reservoir had become. I know Michael does tend to come out with unexpected comments like that 😏Relieved that other wakers are not laughing at my nevousness over heights. Thanks for your comments on music too. Have a great weekend.👍

Some interesting looking ruins Shanita. I don't know that area too well, though often drive over the Grane Road when I'm heading north in the car. Saying that, I once visited a flat-topped prominent hill not far away called Musbury Tor. It must've been quite a novelty to see the sun! Each time I'm available to go camping it is 'persisting down' with rain. 😭

Hi Chris. I wondered if you knew or walked in this area. Haslingden Grand is a small area. There's also Musbury Fabrics factory in town centre. The weather can make a difference to walks, so I know what you mean. After weeks of rain, we just squeezed in a walk in recently, before the rain came back again !! 😂

There is a trig point at Hog Lowe Pike if that is what you mean. On the south side of Calf Hey Reservoir a path leads off up a side valley heading south and with a sign saying Lancashire Way. When you get near the top you will see the distinctive rounded mound to your right. When you reach the top, the path you are on will meet another going along the ridge. Turn right and climb up to the trig point. Hope this helps.
