Yeah, just turned 70 here too! Wow, never imagined I 'd get this far to be honest. My friend we certainly did have some absolutely amazing music didn't we? Kind of weird though isn't it its called "Classic Rock" now. Remember when it was released and on the radio, or better the record store, remember them, it was called "progressive", "underground", and my favorite "experimental" rock. I can still remember when I was in college and worked at the electronic supply store and lunch time would roll around. The partners would go out to grab lunch and I was left to "mind the store". I guess they thought it would make me more, responsible, yeah right! The moment they all left the parking lot the sound system in the audio room would be changed from the easy listening elevator music to the local progressive rock transmitter. I have to tell you this lunch was never better. Bands like Cream, LZ, Jimi to mention a few came booming out of those Wharfedale W60s! We had great high end systems in that room Wharfedale's, McIntosh preamps/ amps, Garrard turntables, and not to forget those great Shure magnetic cartridges and TEAC reel to reel tape decks.
