Thanks for the great video , very educational . I will be attempting this in the future , I will try and imitate your style here 😁 many thanks for sharing your greatness 👍
I wonder why this video hasn't got many views yet. I personally find it very helpful and informative. Only I wish the video was real speed when laying the very first row of bricks. It seems the base concrete is still not fully hardened but solid enough to draw the markings on it.
Thank you for your interest in this... the concrete was done one day before I started bricking... I have used a lot of cement on, and next day is fine to start bricking as it is not same weight as you will have a full wall...
I’m so happy I am able to help... thank you very much for your lovely comment...it means a lot to see when someone appreciate your work... if I can help with anything, please be free to ask... I am always happy to help . Goodluck with your renovations 😁
@@askhowtube wife actually wanted to have a threesome, we were looking for an extra guy to hire for a couple of nights. Cheers mate, we'll get in touch soon!
Hi, Just wondering about your base - you poured it directly on the earth? Is there not a danger of it cracking as you didn't dig out and put any hardcore underneath and compact it?
Hi, thanks for your comment… there is a lot of hardcore underneath… I have done that extension and lots of hardcore left, I have put it around the house.
@@askhowtube Ah ok - makes sense! So we just don't see the hardcore so - but it is there. Hoping to build similar one to yourself soon - how many hours do you think it took? I also saw online where someone built two grills next to each other - his point was that the built in grills are usually around 65cm and are a little small if cooking for a group - and I suppose you could do different things if you had two grills side by side - so thinking of that myself - but I really like your table so it could be a a triple structure!
Liked the sryle and look very much, Although it would've been better if you could add a list of materials, and cement amounts, etc, etc, I'm planning on doing one at home and definitely going on your style
You don’t need a list... you need the amount of bricks you want, you need sand, cement and mortar plasticer... to make mortar you’re using 4 shovel of sand, one cement... so for a bigger mix, you do water as you needed... let’s say 3/4 in a 10 litre bucket, 12 shovel sand, 3 shovel cement, one cap of mortar plasticer...
@@askhowtube am gonna have to watch video and count lol had a load of similar brick's Which I've skipped now,..was wondering if I'd had enough... nevermind
@@Karan-Singh999 that will be very good. Mortar use 1 measure of cement to 4 measures of sand... like in a wheelbarrow 12 sand shovel, 3 cement shovel...

Thanks pal just the one I'm off to b and a
Good luck mate 😀
How many bricks did you use?
🤣🤣🤣, I am sorry but I don’t remember…
How much bricks?
Sorry, I have not count them…but if you know how to calculate the square, there are about 60 bricks per m/sq.
Granite is of what thickness???👍
There’s no granite, it was a pavement concrete slab...😀 Goodluck.

are these fire bricks or just normal house bricks
They’re normal bricks, but very old ones which are more quality than the ones made these days
@@askhowtube thank you I will be making one this week. If I was to use normal house bricks do you think it will be okay?
@@Karan-Singh999 it should be ok, but I recommend you cover it not let rain on it, especially in the winter...
Okay thank you so much. I will buy BBQ COVER. As I can’t find fire bricks anywhere near me
