Something about the cold open with no music, just the blades of the chopper humming really gets me about big run. It feels like the prelude to madness.
I'm so mad at the game this big run, 121 eggs was my record that I got in the first hour, and then I did not have a sliver of luck after that; weapon comps, no night waves, no good snatchers in high tide, you name it. I played an unhealthy amount of time this big run but still!! At least there's no new badge for splashtags, so at least the silver trophy can stay in my inventory.
@@orb3796 That is your opinion, but people that greatly overfish do impact the numbers. It was proven in Extra Work, where I knew it would be over 200 eggs to make gold, because it was a team event, and overfishers would get excessive numbers raising the bar. Its simple math since it's all broken down by percentages and averages. Either way, I still had fun and strived to improve my gameplay.
top 5% is insanely difficult. dont get yourself worked up over not making it into the top of the top of salmon run players, there were hundreds of thousands of participants and very very few of those got even a silver, let alone a gold. even these guys aren't anywhere close to the best players in the world by a long shot. you'll get better through practice just like these guys did, same with all of us.
you guys need to stop coping honestly there is like less than a couple hundred players that get numbers like this. they're getting 190-240 eggs and the threshold for gold and silver were 141 and 117 respectively. if you know how percentages work, the top team getting 10,000 eggs will not push that threshold higher. its not about the high scores of the top 5%, its about how many of the top 5% reached that threshold. they could've all gotten 141. as long as the last person in the top 5% got that number its going to be the same. a couple dozen overfisher groups is not going to have an effect on millions of players' results. just practice and learn. that's what these people did

I missed sliver by about 3-4 eggs. Considering that this was my first Big Run, I think I did a pretty decent job.
I got 142 I barely got gold lol

Watching you guys play, i am surprised I even made gold with these numbers. Amazing runs.
Their numbers have no bearing on the top 5%. Even if every overfisher got a million bajillion eggs in, the final 5% score would remain unchanged

I always watch your videos when I go to sleep or work on cosplays or school stuff! Thank you man!
🙋♀️ Look Gary, there I am!
This was my favorite big run ngl
I think I saw Reika in a pool thing I’m in
1:03:33 how did you not die what
someimes you just get bounced off of maws, i've had it happen to me a couple times but it's super inconsistent
No wonder I got bronze 😒
Honestly, as long as you got something, it means you tried a little bit!
Even a bronze isn't something to be upset over. Being in the top half's pretty good if you ask me, and there's always room to improve from there!

Yep, coordinated groups seriously screw over solo players
