Hilarious. Prior to watching this video I had watched a video review on Amazon from someone showing how poorly these blades performed vs a Bosch blade. Said video is only a few seconds long and yeah it looked bad. Then I watched this video and noted how you mentioned folks not removing the yellow plastic protective cover over the blade. Sure enough, went back to the Amazon review video and it clearly sill had the yellow protective cover on it. Unreal.
Nice video. When I first saw these online, I thought the blades were yellow. Good to see that it is just packaging. I ordered a set for my 2015 Odyssey as the originals were torn up on the ends. They don’t make these for the rear blade so went with plain TRICO ExactFit as I rarely use the rear blade.
What better test than in the rain! A tip for all the people installing wipers, put a towel doubled on the windshield in case the bare arm snaps against the windshield. My brothers did exactly that, and he has a cracked windshield to replace. Very costly mistake.
skipping has something to do with angulation of the blade on the glass. if it is not 90 degress, it can skip. you may want to check if the wiper arm is parallel to windshield surface, and adjust it with plier if it is off.
I just installed these on my Hyundai Santa Fe Sport and they work excellently. Clean wipe, no streak and good beading of the rain. A little pricey though.
Well you certainly don’t want them falling off! Perhaps the j hooks on your car are bent because as you saw in my video, I was able to install them with one hand.
I noticed they also came with extra clips what are those for? I could not figure it out so I just clipped them on the J hook and did not install the clips. Lol
Rain-X is the brand, and while they do make some blades that apply a water-repelling coating as you wipe, these Silicone Endura blades do not. As for the extra clips, those are for different style wiper arms. For your car, you have a simple J-hook design, where others do not. So you don't have to worry about the extra clips that came with the wipers!

Really never liked my Bosch Icons. They are definitely loud and obnoxious. They also never sit flat after it snows and ices up. Ordered some of these, I hope they work better. I used to have double bladed wipers on my old Nissan Pulsar back in the 90s and those were the best blades I've ever owned. They looked ridiculous, but they kept all the snow and ice off the windows better than anything I've ever used.
I hated the Icons, never understood why they were so popular. I’m very happy with these after 4 winters so far. They squeak a little when it’s raining/misting very lightly, but they’re still perfect otherwise!
They give each blade its own elaborate packaging and graphics; and that adds quite a lot to the price, and makes sure more plastics go into the dump. I know they have to protect them for shipping, but stuff cardboard would probably work as well.

So i bought exactly this brand for 22 Corolla LE . Omg they added two instruction for J-hook that requires opening flap for Step 1 and closing the flap as Step 4 (final step). 😂 i tried closing it so hard, but it wont. It is snugged and hooked in tho once i heard “click” sound. 😂why would rain-x 😅 do that
I actually just got these blades for my moms car with the J-hook as well. You'll think you have them on, but you gotta pull up REALLY hard for it to properly click in place all the way. I thought I was gonna break them. Then that little flap shouldn't be difficult to close at all. Rain-X must have redesigned it in the last few years because it certainly was not that difficult to install them for me, as you saw in the video. Perhaps some people have been incorrectly installing them, resulting in the blade falling off while driving. So they had to come up with a design that was more secure.

How come when people review these wiper blades They don't tell people What the instructions say on the package about running them for 2 to 3 minutes on a dry window to leave a silicone film for a better cleaning And beading of the rain.
These specific wiper blades don't have that technology integrated into them, nor does it mention to do this anywhere on the packaging or instructions. The Rain‑X Latitude Water Repellency 2-n-1 Wiper Blades offer it though. Otherwise, I highly recommend Rain-X washer fluid as it has the same water beading technology.

@@CarRepairsMadeSimple The 24" blade doesn't have the cover to click down, while my 19" does. Going to make an attempt again tomorrow to try and attach.
@@The2Coolest2 This is true. The paper directions are best as there are 4 steps for the shorter blades and 2 steps for the longer ones. The Rain X video only shows one installation. Just make sure you open the cover first. That is the side the J hook goes into. I think most people aren't sure what side the hook goes into. I watched the Rain X video to make sure I was inserting in the right side.
@@walking_introvert I returned them. It did not close properly, and bought Bosch instead.
Thanks for your video's. They are good quality and very informative.
Thanks for the support! I'm glad my videos have been helpful!
I’m on year 3 of these wiper blades
I’d try some if it wasn’t winter time. Using wiper blades on icy windshield ruins them pretty fast so I’ll need new ones again by spring. So I always buy cheapest ones in winter and better ones in spring
You can certainly do that! I’ve had good luck with other silicone blades lasting about 4 years with winter use. These held up tremendously after the first winter.
@@CarRepairsMadeSimple well I’m going to find out because I just bought a set 👍. Decided to try them and see if they survive the icy weather coming soon. They wipe good and are really quiet. So far so good 😊
@@JohnnyRebKy awesome! I think you'll be very happy with your purchase long term!
The driver's side blade still do chatter a bit. Probably due to the coating on the glass. They all tend to do that.
Must be tested at night.
One can see a large garage in the background, yet he stands outside in the rain and replaces wiper blades. Garages are designed to shelter cars and provide convenience for working on them.
I thought it would add a cool touch to the video, who doesn’t like the sound of rain? And I had a waterproof jacket so I didn’t get wet! But yes any other day I would have been in the garage haha
Shouldn't the first step of the installation be pulling the car into one of those garages you got there?
Lol yes but I thought it would give the video a cooler effect outside
Is kinda same as like other wiper
update video?
I could make one! Maybe I’ll do it later this spring when there’s a good rain storm. But so far I can tell you these blades are holding up extremely well after almost 3 years
@@CarRepairsMadeSimple that'd be awesome! i went ahead and purchased a set for my Volt based on your recommendation.
I think I see the small passenger corner being skipped
yah every wiper blade I've put on this car doesn't wipe that bottom right corner entirely due to the curvature of the glass, but it doesn't affect anything.
Even with conventional wipers?
Carlos Gs UA-cam Channel I guess I don’t know about conventional blades as I’ve only ever used beam style blades such as these and the Bosch icons.
Just got these. RainXed the windshield now throwing theses on hopefully good results
Hey mate! How are they going for you still?
They’re working great! Still wiping streak free and quietly just like new!
@@CarRepairsMadeSimple awesome thanks for getting back to me! I'm in Australia and I'm wondering if these are worth installing in my D'Max. I guess I will fork the extra cash and try em out!
@@mtadc1545 i haven't heard of anybody that was disappointed with them! they're definitely worth it!
@@CarRepairsMadeSimplehey there! Still using them? I only just bought them now 😂
Thank you for making this video. I just bought a pair of these blades and haven’t yet installed them. I found your video extremely helpful.
you're welcome! I think you're going to love them!
The yellow guard is supposed to be removed AFTER you install but before first use... it protects the coating that gets put on the glass via the silicone blades... other than that your review was spot on, much appreciated.
I'm confused, did we watch different videos lol? That's exactly what he did lol..
@@Mandy_39 we watched the same video, but he stated to take the guard off before installing. People make mistakes...
Did one thing then said another...
@@julietinez26 chances are ppl don't listen, they watch lol. In all honesty what's going to happen if you take it off during the 30 seconds it takes to clip it on?
How long are they good for?
Good silicone wipers can last years if taken care of the right way clean them every 3 weeks or so with rubber cleaner and conditioners I use Maguires #39 vinyl and rubber cleaner works great
Maguires products are the best!
rain-x sucks
They’re by far the best. Blades are still nearly as good as new after 4 years ;)
You didn't even show how to install them. Keep trying
What? Clearly showed the installation at 5:30 - 6:40
People the yellow protector on the blade slides off then you put the wiperblade on . When you put them on if you have a j hook pull snugly so they snap in easy and simple. Why people are having problems with the simplest shit is beyond me. Food for thought do not put rain x water repellant on your wind shield it causes a haze when blades are wiping and wear out your wiper a blades quicker. This video could have been done in 3-4 minutes not 10 -11 minutes. Another thing I thought was kind of funny he has rain x on his windshield why use your wiperblades? I guess he needs to over kill shit rain x repellant for the windshield plus expensive wiperblades. Hey can you see 👀 now in the 🌧
Some days it rains harder than other and rain x beading technology isn’t enough. What’s so hard to understand about that? Plus I don’t have issues with hazing and accelerated wear so idk what you’re talking about…
You're right people dumb af for that but you almost sound a part of that group for not understanding that Rain-X is not a replacement, it definitely helps in light rain but not so much in downpour. Bro was just thorough who cares how long the video is even smh
@@joethebro1999 Rainx doesn’t help in light rain. It helps with heavy rain or when driving fast at highway speeds. If you drive around seattle or Portland at city speeds, the light drizzle and mist won’t bead up and you have to run your blades.
Dont respond to the guy below
I looked into it and it looked sketchy. I reported the comment for spam and blocked them from my channel. Thanks for the heads up.
Great review thanks.
