As a Croatian speaker, the fact that Nikola Tesla's cat's name was Macak is hilarious because it literally translates to "Male Cat." Some creativity, Tesla lol
Morris the Cat is one that I would expect on the list. He was a stray cat, rescued and adopted from a shelter, and became one of the most recognizable cats as the mascot of 9 Lives cat food. He won the animal equivalent of an Oscar, the PATSY, after starring with Burt Reynolds, and reportedly was part of the inspiration for Garfield (which, his voice in the commercials sounds incredibly similar to the voice of Garfield in later cartoons). He was so famous, papers ran his obituary in 1978. The brand keeps the name Morris alive with a new cat, and promotes adoption and donates to animal shelters in his name.
Erin must have been SO excited to finally do a cat episode! Also, poor Felicette! Why couldn't' they let her live her life then study her brain after? So sad for space kitty! Also, just makes me love Tesla and Lincoln even more. All the intellectuals know felines are the cerebral animal companions! Also - the story of Koko losing her cat - UGHHH. Same reaction as Erin.

Maybe not historically significant, but one of the most unusual cat names belonged to the cat of philosopher Jeremy Bentham. Bentham called his cat “The Reverend Sir John Langbourne”
For the cat that could predict death, I heard of a wife with a really good nose that was actually able to smell a change in her husband (which ended up being cancer if I remember right don’t quote me on what) and I’m guessing the cat has a good sense of smell and maybe when they were gonna pass their scent changed and the cat could tell. Just a prediction but it makes sense to me.
I dunno about historical, but Internet fame, there are so many... even if we don't count the ones that didn't or don't have an active career, there are still many with entire dedicated channels and fandom.

My Hershel is the coolest cat in the whole wide apartment. Possibly the whole apartment building, though I haven't done due diligence to find out whether this is true by meeting every cat in the building.

So sad there's no mention of Tardar Sauce (aka Grumpy Cat) she was so beautiful
Truly a travesty she was missed!
Naming your cat " 'Tard " is a questionable move and I wouldn't be surprised if it was part of why she was left out.
Sounds like we need a part 2 for internet cats.

Plot twist! T'was Secret Agent Unsinkable Sam who wrecked the ships!
😆 😂 😅
Li'l Bub! 😻😻 I got to meet her at the Denver Fair. The next year I got to meet Venus the two-faced cat
Fun fact: Tesla's cat's name isn't really a name. "Mačak" simply means "male cat" in SerbianCroatian and "Mačka" is "female cat".

As a Star Trek fan, I'd love to see Spot on this list. Commander Data even wrote a poem about his beloved feline. 🤩

Yes, I was going to comment that. Dying people have a smell because their organs are shutting down so it's not such a mystery that the cat could know.
