- Some Singapore firms are turning to the Indian city of Chennai for their manufacturing operations to boost production and revenue. The city is among the fastest growing in the world, making it an ideal location for businesses to further expand into other regional markets. Tamil Nadu state has the largest number of factories in India, accounting for over 15% of the country's factories. In another words, many more will move. Singapore is becoming too expensive and getting less attractive for them. High cost of living, high rental cost, high utilities cost and high business cost.
Despite CECA and expensive ministers, the result is just too poor comparing to regional countries performance.
CECA scandal is politically UNTENABLE in Singapore.
Getting some Singapore companies to hire in South Asia is definitely a better solution.

See Annex 9A of CECA to understand - 127 Good Paying Jobs are Traded away in CECA from Software Engineer, Network Analyst, Architects [Building, Landscape to Interior], Engineers [Civil, Structural, Electrical, Lift, Electronics, computer, semiconductor etc]. Are these not depriving our PMET of good paying jobs? Just reflect on the PAP Performance as compared to regional countries performance lately in terms of GDP. Be careful with Investing in Chennai cz you know what happened with Vedanta Sterlite copper ltd. They had to shut down because of govt/church sponsored protest citing environment concern which was all fake. It was the largest copper mining company in India. We lost 40% of copper production because of fake protest.
