It's definitely a nice addition. The graphics were a nice surprise.. it doesn't need to be fancy, and it's not, but it's certainly adds a layer of realism.
What are your thoughts? Does it live up to the high bar set by the original game? I'd love to hear what you think, the good, the bad, and or course the ugly!!
I loved Panzer General, I’ve clocked thousands of hours in the game. I think Panzer Corps does a good job of modernizing the hex map game play, and opening up previously unplayable military campaigns the Germans participated in. Engagement is Uber important for capturing your target audience and keeping them entertained is a real challenge. The additions of heroes really adds a replay abilities to the campaigns as they alter your strategy and unit composition. Unfortunately, some of these special abilities are so overpowered that combined with other heroes and special abilities units become freight trains that run over everything. Nobody should be able ignore infantry preparations, it’s just breaks immersion. I also think there’s way too much prestige, it’s impossible to spend it. And the me262 jet fighters in 1943 is just like adding UFO’s to the gameplay. Nevertheless, it’s a lot of fun with ongoing developer support so I recommend the game.
Couldn't agree more, although I found a way to spend all of my prestige! haha! I thought the heroes was a really fantastic addition, but moreso the game customization options that were available. If you didn't like some aspect, you could pretty easily modify the options to suit your fancy! Thanks for watching!!
The multi-player mode adds an interesting element. I love the way the units look, too...so authentic
