A local main dealer came to us for advice on the Volkswagen DIS and how we can change the KM/H readout to MPH. Up until this we didn't think it was possible to be changed but after a bit of digging we were able to activate extra functions within the Cluster itself. This resulted in the removal of KM/H and a nice new addition of a MPH Digital Speedo./ - Авто та транспорт
This video saved my life. An incredible pick me up after being devastated from not knowing my speed. Who wants to look at their spedometer??! Not me and thanks to this guy he pathed a path a never thought I’d be able to go down. Creds to this guy live it man thank you.
I watched your video twice explaining the procedure to change my VW dis/cluster from km/h to mph and digital speedo activation then I tried this on my VW Passat b7 and all went perfect thanks to your video great job

I just shipped my 2011 Eos from Australia to UK and can't change the large digital speedo to mp/h from km/h. Do you have a fix for this? Cheers
Thank you very much for the video. Works perfectly for those who want to set their car from mpg to km/h. The confusing thing for most is understanding that you have to leave Alt. Speed dsp unticked, select the unit you want and have your digital speed checked (mfi data) and go back to your mfi display on the dash and scroll until you see the right unit. It sits between speed and speed warning
Unfortunately I didn’t find Alt on my dashboard.
I don’t have the buttons on the steering wheel.
Can you advise me how to change the annoying display from KM/H to M/PH?
I NEED to try this... I bought a Scirocco R-Line and the KM/H does my head in. I've got used to looking at the speedometer now but defo need to give this a go.

Am in the U.S. with a 2014 Jetta SportWagen. I have the digital speedometer set up and working properly but it displays only MPH. Your video seems to show how to switch between the large MPH and the small KPH display at the bottom.
Is there a way to set it up so that I can have the large display switchable between miles per hour and kilometers per hour?

How do you make the Alt speed distance appear, as it not in the menu when you scroll through the first time, but the second time it is, so how do you activate this option.
You can’t do it unless you have diagnostic equipment bit of pointless video.

you need to contact them and they will activate the display using their laptop, but it is worth every penny as the little KM is no use at all, perfect very quickly done easy when you know how, it must have taken ages sorting this out well done. your video does not show the hours you spent working this out.

Does this display show the next direction to take when navigating, like the colour display does?
From memory I believe it does.
On my vw crafter 2018 doesn't have buttons on steering wheel. So how can I change it. At the moment it shows f..ng temperature, which is useless.
Am I missing something? How did you get the "Alt. Display" menu added?

Is this possible on a 2010 Polo?
I think there’s an issue with this, after the change the mpg is over inflated and the range is the same thing (notice your range goes up from 230miles to 240miles), it’s somehow a glitch where it’s measuring in us gallons but calculating in uk mpg. You can correct it for the mpg by leaving it on us mpg (will give true uk mpg)
But there’s nothing you can do for the range - will always be 20% more than it should be
