I am a 73 year old grandmother of 8 I am at the moment fighting corona virus and not well. In 2015 I lost my oldest daughter to breast cancer and this song was part of that journey. Bless you for feeling it in your heart. You give me hope.

I love Voces8. My personal favorites by them are the Edo Lullaby (a Japanese lullaby with a glorious alto solo), Lux Aeterna by Edward Elgar (bring tissues...), and anything they’ve done by Palestrina or Allegri, my favorite Renaissance-era composers of sacred polyphony. But really, with these guys, you can just shut your eyes and point at their catalog and get some gorgeous ear candy regardless of where you land. Oh, and another really REALLY good one is Carrickfergus, featuring Sibeal, an Irish singer who performs in the sean-nos style. She sounds almost like Uillean pipes - really worth a listen even if you don’t opt to react on camera!
Edo Lullaby gives me chills every time. It's so hauntingly beautiful and Katie's solo makes me think I've died and gone to alto heaven.
Carrickfergus is the one I come back to over and over again because there's nothing quite like the feeling it gives me. I'm left speechless everytime.
Great reaction. Voces8 are so ethereally beautiful. You should check out their version of Carrickfergus with traditional Irish singer Sibéal.

Thanks for the reaction! They're so incredible. Not a day goes by when I don't listen to them. They've made so many videos, so I recommend them all, but some other great ones by them are Sleep (Eric Whitacre), Maria, (West Side Story), Ave Maria (Franz Biebl), momentary (Olafur Arnalds), nyepi (Olafur Arnalds), Spaseniye Soledal, and A Boy and A Girl (Eric Whitacre). You'll love them :)
Another one that I highly, HIGHLY recommend is their arrangement of "Stars" by Esenvalds. Legit made my heart stop for a moment the first time I heard it. In my opinion, don't watch the music video; listen to just the audio. To me, the video is just distracting from the sheer beauty of the music.

Hey man, I just subscribed and I wanted to say I love your videos. I hope you come back soon and do some more. ALSO what caught me was when you had mentioned in a Disney princess medley or love medley, was that you wanted to be exposed to more A cappella groups and see that you haven’t done one by BYU. Being that you seemed to like the Disney themed one, I would suggest the Beauty and the Beast Medley by BYU. I think you’d appreciate the group effort on that song at least, majority of their other songs are kinda religious, but they have a handful of covers they do that are actually pretty good.
