Damn you guys were putting in work on the Machines. Can't believe you rode out of that 2nd hit on the switchbacks. 12:13 was crazy!!! I do wish they did a little maintenance in that section, some of those transitions can get SKETCHY

Love the look of the yfz better and hear good things about the suspension but the clutch basket issue scares the crap out of me. I don’t want to buy a 10,000 quad just to put more money into it to put a different clutch basket. Shouldn’t be that way imo. I guess that leaves me with the raptor, which isn’t a bad choice. Really thought Honda would have stepped up to the plate but I’ve given up. They are happy enough with their pink 250cc “sport” quad.
Get a new Raptor 700R if ya can & never look bk. Take care of it & it last ya decades. Best all around sport quad in history. Got '21 Raptor 700R-SE & '10 YFZ450X Bill Ballance edition in garage. -Ohio

So as someone who has ridden the 400ex for years...to you, is the raptor really worth it over a dialed in 400? like would it be worth selling the 400 to buy a rpator 700?
@@BrewerOffroad usually we get a few months of snow cover, but we haven't had anything that stuck longer than a day or two. And it only happened twice. It keeps going from 10 to 50 degrees. I didn't even get to ride any snow this year
I had about 4 close calls that day and I definitely backed off most of my ride because they happened early in the day. I did get on the scrambler but I'm trying to recover the footage at the moment. When cameras get cold they do funky things
So I’m a Honda guy myself. But looking to get a new bike. Just torn between the yfz450r and raptor 700r. So what do you think would be all around better bike?
Like honda vs yamaha? Personally I love the look of Hondas however performance has to go to yamaha. The are 9 years newer than any honda out there. You can build Hondas to perform similarly but the yamaha is almost ready from factory

That polaris is probably dam fast
It's pretty ridiculous and the main thing that allows you to go fast is the machine does all the work, absorbs the bumps and handles like crazy!

It's really tough honestly but my opinion is yfz450r
That Raptor suspension doesn't care for the whoops huh? Need to find you some stock YFZR shocks for the Raptor.
I really want to spend time on the stock set up just so I have a solid opinion with lots of hours behind it then ill build it like Pete's haha
