I main Rocket. I played a lot of tank before learning Rocket, and that taught me about creating pressure and space. Rocket's attack can melt a tank at close and mid range because of their larger hitbox and the fact that Rocket uses a spray weapon. I often find myself pushing the front line and forcing their main tank to either retreat or die. I can break Strange shield alone in like 3-4 seconds. Peni dies in the same amount of time. I have to commit to killing Groot, so if he's not already low, I settle for making him back off. Magneto is usually safe since he has so many ways to defend himself, including his ult, which sucks up my bullets and orbs When I am playing back, I don't fear getting dove for the same reason. Rocket can heal himself, so Spider-Man can't kill me with the 250 damage combo. He has to retreat unless he has a dive partner. I have a mobility advantage on Cap. Venom is so massive and in your face that it's impossible to miss shots on him. It comes down to a game of chicken, a lot. Only Thor gives me pause because Thunder Rune legit 2 shots. If I'm getting dove, I don't need to worry about whether or not my team is getting healed because my healing affects everyone in a straight line or around a corner, including myself. I don't need to prioritize my survival over my team's. Just don't panic and keep them in my general LoS. Since my damage falls off a lot, i can't effectively deal with flyers or snipers. I don't think a flanking assassin has ever killed me unless they solo ult me. Happens with Psylocke and Iron Fist all the time. Spider-Man and Venom have never solo ulted me as far as I recall. They usually just swing away when I don't die. I die every time to characters with auto locking abilities. Scarlet, Namor, Cloak.
70+ hours on the guy. Baiting a cloak to chase you instead of healing their team is fun. If your dashes aren’t on CD you can get out of their range pretty easily Fist ult isn’t too difficult to deal with, just grab the nearest wall and shift up and start scrambling, he won’t catch you. I constantly have the enemy team switch to Wanda to try to take me down on a flank. Run toward your team if they’re close or turn and spray if they’re not. She’ll likely phase out and you can make your escape then.
I don't know about that Chief, I've shot down a few Iron men and Storms before because wouldn't contest them so took into my own hands. If you're like right below them or not far in front you can still melt and it's funny because they don't expect to melt them, they think you're just going to heal. Lol
Dude everyone dissing rocket is delusional. I main him for healing and his abilities win games period. Ammo up, revive station, ult are all great. Healing isn't as fast I know but he's survivable which keeps healing on the battlefield longer.
It’s because the ultimate of a character is valued too much. They make a big difference in team fights and support defensive ults are clearly some of the best ultimates
Rocket is my favorite support but I saw him as a good-not-great pick until I looked at my stats. My win rate on him compared to the “good” supports is way higher (almost 70% this season compared to 55% on Luna and C&D). Same goes for the entire player base including the top ranks. Rocket isn’t noticeable - for his team or the enemy. You don’t really notice his heals like you do from burst healers. You don’t notice the damage boost from his ult or realize you’re now charging yours 40% faster. You don’t notice how he dies much less than other supports and is able to keep his healing uptime constant. But all these things add up. Win rate doesn’t lie.
9:07 It's not hard to heal divers with Rocket because the orbs heal in an area of effect and bounce off walls. It becomes tricky if there's a balcony between you. If you're around the corner or behind a wall, I can heal you. If you're in their back line, I can heal you. If you're in a box, I can't do anything for you. It's all about positioning and bounce management.
Rocket is a legit tank shredder. He also has high horizontal movement also. I watched a S0 top 500 Rocket main and the dude never touches the floor. He is either on the sky or on the walls.
It is so funny though making that BP work that hard to kill you, a literal cat and mouse game, because one misposition or bad places dash and you could melt him, especially now that he's nerfed
11:30 we could see a micro&master play there when he solo kill psylocke first he ate the health pack, so psy cant use it then he shot a single orb forward and it is ON FLOOR. (Tips: the orb will stay much longer when bouncing wall or floor than just flying straigt) after the set up, he dash to psy for strike attack while catching the orb and getting self healing. after a hard 1v1 fight, he got 15 hp left with survive, just because of the micro play, knowlegde and experience P.S. from 116 to 132 that heals 16 hp. P.S. If i be more picky, i think he could heal more with walk along the orb, that would be higher win chance.
love your promoting a off-meta hero and lift up a real main player to our eyes hurting my eyes with someone claim himself "rank 1 racoon" and just spamming orbs, and carried by mega teammate
Hard to beat a team that doesn’t die. When the team is healed come in heavy with some damage then back to the heals and repeat. Always have the revive deployed and hidden within range of team. Alt every time. 40+ hrs on rocket.

Raccoon carry or team diff?
A good rocket is never seen but his presence is felt
TRUE
Rockets with good wall movement are annoying as hell. I don’t think he’s bad at all, especially in a 3 support meta.

Yea, I've noticed Iron Man and Scarlet Witch players often retreat if they take even a bit of damage@@IAmGeorgeLucas
I've melted a few Iron Fist in there Ult before, but only right after they get done jumping my other support buddy
I don't know about that Chief, I've shot down a few Iron men and Storms before because wouldn't contest them so took into my own hands. @@Esteban-nk3nmyea, I always kill Iron Fist in ult if I'm not the target. When I am, I just disengage and make him chase me.
Rocket is by far the best char at destroying placeables like groot walls squid’s anks ect super valuable

If they nerf Luna Ult and Cloak/Dagger Ult, Rocket goes up in the tier list
They did nerf Luna ult. They just buffed C&D@@grape_nation

This is dope, switching to Rocket when you're not getting value mid round is always my go-to
Rockets survive mechanics are so fun. But when grinding low rank I get in the LONGEST 1v1s with no help. Literally 1 min of dodging a Black Panther.
It is so funny though making that BP work that hard to kill you, a literal cat and mouse game, because one misposition or bad places dash and you could melt him, especially now that he's nerfed
that groot tech had me loling
I've never seen that before 🤣
ill give this racoon an 11/10 because santa
that psylock is number 3 on the leader boards so that's really saying something with his ability to live

Rocket and Jeff get damage reduction when Groot is carrying them.
I am a fellow raccoon damage activist
Great video man!
Thank you!
3:16 how could he do the vertical dash (look like) without climbing wall?
Jet pack from the brb
@@tellusrs7773i’m quite sure that is the dash(shift abilities) you can confirm that from look at bottom right corner’s cooldown
They climbed the rock. You can climb any surface. Not just buildings.
@@LeAndre_McCoy sure, it just climbing for 0.1 second and dash
what a masterful skill
Bit surprised. I expected the # 1 Rocket be flying and climbing all over the place, but way less of that that I expected.
I think there's a time and place for it, but this game didn't require much of that!

4:00 anyone else notice that you can’t dash out of Namors ult
Is that a glitch
Namors ult stops movement abilities!
@ ah I new it
Honestly w
Makes his ult so much worse
may i ask how much is mantis healing while Ult
is it 150 per sec?
I'm here for more Cap content - Day 1!
I don't think it was penetrated by the raccoon's Ultimate, since Luna's Ultimate ended just before it.
I think Rocket isn't bad,
But he isn't great,
I'd rather have a different support over rocket
I thought the same thing but my win rate on him compared to the “good” supports is way higher (almost 70% this season compared to 55% on Luna and C&D). Same goes for the entire player base including the top ranks.

That's never going to work. It has to extend before it activates. If it can't open, it'll cancel and go on cooldown.

You can your team can kill Luna Snow through her ult
while team trust in your ult
in mathematic, it possible. but in lower rank, people just thinking Luna ult = invinsible
Thor next?
