Finally the mod i was waiting for, it's a big game changer, getting the improved physics and ai of the sequel is amazing, and makes this game more replayable than it was before, it's a shame this doesn't have more views!
Hi, got to know about your mod from Lughzi's mod (Total (Improvement) Carnage) which had credited your mod for importing the Flatout 2 physics features. This is pretty cool and am downloading and checking it out! Will it be possible for you to update this mod by increasing the LOD details in-game and increase the range of textures being rendered so as to reduce the pop-in of track side objects like tyres, billboards, etc. which can be distracting at times, while racing. Had tried Lughzi's mod but couldn't make out any change to LOD details after installing it. Thanks once again!
Thank you for the feedback of the mod, hope you enjoy it. As far as the mod adding more technical improvements to the game. Those features will come all in time.
@@ScorpionCar Thanks for your reply and look forward to future updates! I note that you have also been doing similar mods for Flatout 2 and UC. Am just getting around to finishing the campaigns for those games now and will then check out your other mods as well. Amazing how these old games still hold up today and how modders are still actively updating it. Keep up the good work!!
Check to see if the filesystem.ini file looks like this: Archives = { [1] = "common1.bfs", [2] = "common2.bfs", [3] = "europe.bfs", [4] = "Alternate Textures And Physics Mod For FlatOut 1.bfs", } In FlatOut 1 when it comes to loading in archieves there is a number that has to be used in order for the game to load the arhcives in correct sequence. excuse me but are you sure that the developers did not contact you for Flatout UC which uses the same principle as your mod it has just made an update in flatout UC collector with redesigns like you.
@@KosterEntertainement Yeah I also find the update rather similar but it is nice the game by default has had the sound issue fixed. No I wasn't contacted by the developers or anything. I like to think that maybe one of them saw my mod, downloaded it and played around with it and may have taken some features from the mod and put it into an official update for the game. That said I hope that they bring back modding back into UC with regards of hopefully unencrypting the game files.
@@ScorpionCar If that's really the case, I'd appreciate a little thank-you note. it would be nice to have a workshop where we could create maps and P2P multiplayer. I'm as much a fan as you are of this liscence which for me was ahead of its time :) I knew the game with its first opus FlatOut then flatOut 2 and flatOut uc on pc
Just drag the bfs file into the game directory and then open the filesystem.ini file and add the bfs file. Archives = { [1] = "common1.bfs", [2] = "common2.bfs", [3] = "europe.bfs", [4] ="FlatOut 1 Alternate Textures And Physics.bfs" } Then save the file.
If you have the steam version of the game of which the mod was developed on it, you would have to put the bfs file in the game directory and access the filesystem.ini under the [3] = "europe.bfs", you add the line [4] = "Alternate Textures And Physics Mod For FlatOut 1.bfs", So the filesystem.ini file should look like this: Archives = { [1] = "common1.bfs", [2] = "common2.bfs", [3] = "europe.bfs", [4] = "Alternate Textures And Physics Mod For FlatOut 1.bfs", }

Good to hear thanks. Took a long time to develop and finally excited to have it out.
Long live FlatOut!
I really appreciate the quality of your video. I like Flatout 1, keep working on this 💪
Mod like this does have potential.
This looks amazing, I cannot get my vids to look this great! Damnit man. I'm gonna need to look into this.
Thank you!
The mod is an absolute game changer for FlatOut 1! 😁
When the player is thrown out of the car the sound he makes is the exact same sound as if the player dies in Gothic 1, 2 and 3 hahaha
Yeah shows how budget game developers will use the same sound libraries. Like Morrowind and Dungeon Siege 1.
Nice movie. FlatOut is the best! 😀
As well as having the funniest moments in the races and stunt events. 🤣

Is there a Discord or Flat out 1 group? I would like to download things and interact
There is a FlatOut Discord sever you join. Should be linked in the description.

@Scorpion is ur flatout from steam or from Google?
@@starfall-ekh All the FlatOut games seen in the videos are the Steam versions
@Scorpion don't think so because I have downloade from the Google like from torent

How can I make widescreen, man?
FlatOut 1 looks wide.
Here is the widescreen patch for all 3 FlatOut games:
thirteenag.github.io/wfp#flatout
@@ScorpionCar Thanks a lot!
Especially needed for FlatOut 1.
Because FlatOut 2 and UC somehow look good without the Widescreen patch.
How did you make it first person
You add more lines of code in the camera settings inside of each car and specify the camera coordinates.

how to get the mod 2 work
Just drag the bfs file into the game directory and then open the filesystem.ini file and add the bfs file.
Archives = {
[1] = "common1.bfs",
[2] = "common2.bfs",
[3] = "europe.bfs",
[4] ="FlatOut 1 Alternate Textures And Physics.bfs"
}
Then save the file.
Hi, I am unable to run the mod. What should I do?
If you have the steam version of the game of which the mod was developed on it, you would have to put the bfs file in the game directory and access the filesystem.ini under the [3] = "europe.bfs", you add the line [4] = "Alternate Textures And Physics Mod For FlatOut 1.bfs",
So the filesystem.ini file should look like this:
Archives = {
[1] = "common1.bfs",
[2] = "common2.bfs",
[3] = "europe.bfs",
[4] = "Alternate Textures And Physics Mod For FlatOut 1.bfs",
}
