    Like the shot at 4:29 . I liked tip 5 & 6. Not too many people think of battery life and coming in from the cold with electronics. Don't know how a camera handles, but know a couple people ruin a monitor and computers from bringing it in from storage in very cold and turning it on as soon as they brought it in to a warm office.

    -42.5 Celsius in Saskatchewan this week (before the w/chill). I need a holster inside my parka at chest level so I can slip the camera in and out without opening the zipper too far. Any ideas anyone? I enjoy your style Peter, and your screen affects add some sparkly interest.

      The rubber bottle for keeping the bed warm with boiling water. I was considering this sort of ideas when visiting Norway. Sometimes I just put a flask with hot tea which makes the inside of the bag tiny big warmer. It does make a difference.

    Thanks again. Your videos are excellent and just the right length. I haven't seen snow in 17 years since I moved to Florida. :+) LOL. I love my Stylus 1, but am considering moving to Micro 4/3rds.

    Thx for another great video. Funny that you don't like the weather in winter and live in Finland. On the other hand, I live in the Netherlands and don't like rain... I do have 1 question. What kind of metering do you use? ESP, Spot or something else?

    • @ForsgardPeter
      @ForsgardPeter  5 років тому +1

      Finland is a great country, but winter is not among those good things. I use ESP almost all the time.

    Hi Peter. I own an Olympus EM10 Mark IV. On Saturday I want to shoot an ice camoe race with my Photo Club. It will not be snowing and lots of sunshine is predicted. Because the EM10 is not weather sealed do tou think I will be okay using the camera outdoors for a couple of hours?? Thanks in advance for your reply.

    • @ForsgardPeter
      @ForsgardPeter  10 місяців тому +1

      I do not think there is going to be a problem. After you get back in, just let the camera be in the bag until it is warm. Otherwise, it will collect moisture. If that happens leave the lens on and wipe it dry. It should be ok.

    Peter Forsgård, come to my backyard and you can see some snow or be in the cold weather to test you/camera.
    Aomori, Japan & Oymyakon, Russia.
    My uncle once braved enough with the Olympus M-1(designed by my grandfather & later mod) to Dome Fuji.
    I would never want to be here at all.

    • @angelisone
      @angelisone 4 роки тому

      @@johnG-x8l Yes, he was my grandfather. He also designed the Pen cameras that many have forgot. Grandfather Maitani and ATG, my uncle made the OM-3 & OM-4.
      Then decade later Olympus dedicated the OM-D (Olympus & Maitani in Digital)
      Facts:
      M-1 = Maitani is Number One. It was changed to OM-1 because Leica was going to sue
      OM-1 = Olympus & Maitani (since he worked for Olympus, O has to come first) are Number One
      OM-2 = Olympus & Maitani second version. Now many called Mark X number
      OM-3 = Olympus & Maitani & ATG third version. Very rare if autographed by them
      OM-4 = Olympus & Maitani & ATG with best spot multi-light metering fourth version
      OM-D = Olympus & Maitani into Digital
      E-M1 = Einstein (the genius) in Maitani is Number One. They gone with Mark not number
      E-M1X = Einstein (genius) Maitani is still Number One. And a perfect score of 10
      ATG didn't want to stay under Japan Industrial Partners (JIP)
      The rest are by ATG will be very long.

      @@johnG-x8l Thank you for your kind words. You don't get many people saying thank you much anymore. I was surprised that you are also in automobiles like me.
      My uncle assisted & helped launched the Porsche 959, TPMS, LED headlights that many laughed at him.
      When you were working at your uncle camera store, you and many were photographers.
      Today many claimed to be a professional photographer.
      If you handed them a full manual camera & a roll of film, they can't even get 3 good images.
      If you take a Photoshop & Lightroom & AF lenses, they are lost.
      You should try getting one of your Olympus converted in IR. My uncle converted many for me.
      1. ATG DSC-RX10 IR X (modified from Sony DSC-RX10 IV into IR 24-600/2.8)
      2. ATG Canon EOS-1DX Mark III
      3. ATG Olympus OM-D E-M1 III IR
      4. ATG Gold Phantom Flex 4K IR
      5. ATG IR flashes and up to 4,000ws IR TTL monolights
      For examples:
      With four ATG E-M1 III IR cameras with IR flashes (modified) /IR monolights (modified)
      Shooting indoors where flashes are not allowed
      I can outputted 240fps with ISO 100, 1/250 @ F8.0
      And not a single one knows nor see that my lights have gone off.
      So in about 5 seconds, 1200 images!
      Transmitter can also do HSS, which even the best pro sport photographers can do.
      John Gyorki
      , if you get it modified into IR, you can see the live-view & take photos/videos in total darkness!

    Thank you for calling it a tip video and not a hack video. I have to question people if they understand English and the word hack. It more likely for click bait reasons they use that word.
