Happy to share my experience, make sure if you install the slotted bolts when tighten only turn the nut on the bolt as otherwise turning the bolt itself wi sheer the guides inside the bushes.
I have just installed this bolt myself for my 2004 C Class to correct caster on the drivers side and if it was not for this particular video I would of never of known it was even a possibility. Thank you for the useful video dude!

Hello, many thanks for this video. Indeed I was looking to understand how to potentially correct camber on my W211 and couldn't find this information easily. I just replaced the lower spring arms and the lower torque struts with a new Lemforder kit and with my ignorance I just installed it back with the original bolts. I will soon get my alignment check and see if I need this camber correction or if it's fine with the original bolts. In the meantime I'm going to check your other video to rebuilt the original MB arms that I kept. Greetings from France
I needed to see this video so much because I have a caster issue on my w203 chassis Mercedes Benz C220 Coupe.... I rang Mercedes and they do have this for both front arm (caster) and rear arm (camber) and the bolts for my car anyway are only £10!!! I was shocked as it's a bargain!!
thanks for this. as you say this info is not widely known and have recently changed lower arms ect and the camber is wrong due to not using new fluted bolts which correct camber.

Great video! I plan on changing the camber bolts as soon as I can get hold of some. I have a w212 with a knocking noise from the front when going over rough surfaces. I've changed the drop links, but it didn't help. My usual workshop guy says to change everything in one go, including the shocks, I think he doesn't know what the problem is. Any ideas what could be the reason for the knock? Thanks.
On w212 suspension is different more precisely Mc Pferson, knocking can be fron top struts mount as they have integrated bearings, also check balljoint and drop links.
@@dn0682 Thanks for the pointer. The drop links have been replaced, but that didn't resolve the issue. I have asked the mechanic to check the top mounts, he says they look fine. Is there a particular way of checking these, or would they have to be taken out in order to assess them?
If the top mount is faulty then will make noise when let's say going on a speed bump and once on top of it suspension is fully compressed then on the descent part suspension and wheels are relaxed and there should make noise if faulty.
Hi Yannis, yes I know that but luckily not much wrong with the car and doesn't really require work done. Chainsaw videos are more for me to have them saved for future, anyway I don't seek popularity or to be payed by UA-cam, it's only as hobby.
One camber bolt per side on the steel arms not aluminium ones, rear wheels only have toe adjustment, if excessive camber is observed than replacement of bushes and rose bushes required.
Depends how bad the other arm bush and balljoint is , there are different bushes for the aluminium arm wich controls the caster, they need to be more flexible as is more movement in the bush. I personally bought new arms as balljoint is not replaceable and changed the bushes that they came with to the Lemforder ones, I am in Essex and I can help to have the bushes pressed and also to buy the right ones.
@@dn0682 Appreciate your help but im located in US.All arms are new replaced them few months ago with lemforder too.I remember seeing those “ears” inside the bushings but obviously original bolt doesn’t do anything to adjust those.Guess ill order all 4 bolts for all bottom arms and see if im going through tires like crazy still(every 9 months im throwing tires out the window because of inside wear).Also whole front end its pretty much brand new.
I am not sure if Mercedes installed the slotted bolts from the factory on some cars but you can find the bolts on eBay quite cheap. Anyway another car manufacturer scam as they show install the bolts themselves since the option for adjustment exists.
Are the camber bolts for the rear, where can I purchase these and do I only need to bolts for rear camber adjustment on my w219. It eats the insides of the rear wheels.
For the rear you need suspension arms upper changed and the rose bush ,the swivel bushes , there is no adjustable camber bolt yet available. I know aftermarket there are some adjustable upper suspension links but I haven't used and can't comment. I suppose you have air suspension and if so depends how low the car seats, the lower more negative camber more wear.
Hello, an 1.5 negative camber is accepted by Mercedes repair manufacturer, can't have 0 camber as the car suspension wasn't designed like that. The kit only reduces excessive camber.
In what way you messed up the tyres? Obviously tracking is required after any suspension components intervention job. Have you had the bolts installed? Give us more details please.
Hallo. The sway bar link balljoint need to be pressed out and for that you need a hydraulic press and some adapter to go over the balljoint and press out. There is another method to use brute force by hammering out the balljoint from the nut side.

@@dn0682 Would it make the same noise when it drops into a shallow pothole?
Yes as springs will push and if mount has play knocks as is not solid enough because it has bearings and moving flanges.

Does the car come stock with the ability to adjust camber you just need to buy that bolt?
