    Well, it IS SQUARE from the front end. Just a rectangle from the sides.

    From a "geometry buff" - you got it right; the single ended Dawn is a rectangle! And who doesn't *love* a dead and flat sound? ;-)

    When will you test Serbian speakers N.N.Acoustics KSN?
    I'd love to hear your thoughts and compare them to some other brend speakers.

    You should also not forget that USB OUT at PCs is often limited to 500 mV and this limitation should be removed in the device manager.

    I'm considering either the Moondrop Dawn or the Fiio Q11 Bluetooth Dac/Amp. Which would you recommend for soundstage and warmer sound?

    Ifi just released "go link" dongle for the same price. I'm very interested in comparisons between them. Are you planning to get one in the future for the review?

    Love the channel! I have burned by Moondrop twice on bad cables and their customer service suggested I buy a replacement… Your review is great but I’m gonna pass on Moondrop

      I sold both of my Black and Cobalt a long time ago. But from indirectly comparison, this one is better - more revealing, open, and airy than Black.

    I'm new to the audio world can someone explain the difference between the 3.5mm and 4.4 mm variant of the Moondrop Dawn? Thanks

    • @iikatinggangsengii2471
      @iikatinggangsengii2471 Рік тому

      just buy the 3.5

    • @iikatinggangsengii2471
      @iikatinggangsengii2471 Рік тому

      iirc the other one is separate left and right, since 3.5 'mixed' those in the jack
      worry more abt amp volume level if its abt sound balance, since some sound worse at >75% and unbalanced at very low volume

  • @vaiuuii
    @vaiuuii 2 роки тому

    Another great review!
    You should have a listen to the E1DA 9038SG3. Their only downside is 2.5 balanced jack only, but it is superb price to performance ratio.

    Three questions if you don’t mind
    1) is there a lightening version available?
    2) if not, can you recommend a lightening to usb-c adaptor
    3) any idea why there are far fewer options available in terms of dongle DACs that natively support iPhones/lightening connections?

    • @iiWiReviews
      @iiWiReviews  Рік тому +2

      Yes, there is a lightening version for iPhones.
      Other DACs usually focus on USB-C since it's the dominant standard outside of Apple's ecosystem. So that's usually a default, with lightening adapters being an option (but not always).
      Anyways, Apple will switch to USB-C soon due to EU regulations so different connectors will not be a problem any more.

    You were right in terms of form & description but incorrect by means of shape identification. An equally sided rectangle is a square. A parallelogram that is "squared" meaning right-angled is a rectangle. Any trolls out there & I useless plan drawer 😂

    I am totally not into headphones, but do have some Sennheiser PX100 and Sony MDR-V55 and a Sharkoon mobile dongle dac. I much prefer listening to speakers, but maybe my headphones just suck. When a hook up the dongle to an amp it sounds good enough but on headphones just too closed in. When I cast it to my Argon Solo (you should really have someone send it to you because it will be a while before Serbia will join the EU) everything cleared up. Also I'm not inclined to spend a lot of money on it for fear I won't use it very much anyway. Maybe look for some nice vintage ones on the used market since my new DAC also has a headphone amp in it.

    I can't tell the difference between filters at all. Seems like a placebo. Also, the 3.5mm adapter does have a square shape as well as a rectangle. Tell those people to kick rocks. Lol.
