    I love that your channel brings me reviews of products that I would probably never see here in the States! Thanks so much for what you do! Very much appreciated!

    You should test E1da 9038D if you can. It’s mindblowing how much better and more balanced it sounds compaired to Smsl SU-8S. It uses the same Sabre 9038q2m chip as Smsl SU-8s but the final result is a more mature and detailed sound, from a 12 grams dac. The sound has proper weight, unlike Su-8s.

    Nice review iwii. I requested you earlier to do a review of e1da dongle dacs 9038D and 9038S. Which would b perfect to compare with these other portable solutions. I own 9038D and would like to know how it performs against these other devices. Also i remember when u were behind the camera and used to say “duck” instead of “dac” 😁.

    I have the powerdac v2 and I love that with my hd560s over anything else even having a thx 788, sound is doesn't make justice and since 560s are so easy to power it makes no difference whatsoever.

    I purchased the V2 when it first was released. I am embarrased to admit it has sat in a draw not touched since then. After watching your vid…I am definetly going to get it up and running again. I purchased it originally to use portably…silly me.

    It can also be paired, with a headphone amp which would certainly supply the volume control and the missing grunt. And, it's balanced, so it could be used with something like a THX AAA 789, for a $280 (with Drop's new pricing for this amp), comprehensive solution which will drive virtually anything.

      If we are talking secondhand, I bought Cambridge dacmagic 100+ ifi ZEN can for 210€. Owed E1DA straight after Srboljub reviewed it and was extremely happy (sennheiser HD660s) but, lack of volume button made me sell it, but, no regret, this combo now sounds better in every way.

    Hey! really comprehensive review. Sound wise how does it compare with Earmen Eagle? I am planning to buy a DAC/Amp around 100-120 dollar - or any other dac/amp you would suggest purely in terms of sound quality?

    • @iiWiReviews
      @iiWiReviews  2 роки тому

      EarMen Eagle should sound the exact same as Sparrow on its single-ended output. Going by that, I would rather go with Hidizs S9 pro.

  • @LelouchLamperouge235
    @LelouchLamperouge235 2 роки тому +1

    The correct phrase is : " for all intents and purposes ". You seem to be saying "for all intenses and purposes" and I am not sure whether that means something :D A lot of people often say "for all intensive purposes" just because its slightly easier to pronounce but they still mean "intents" :D

    DA in the EIDA means Digital to Audio not "yes"

    • @iiWiReviews
      @iiWiReviews  2 роки тому +3

      "DA" explanation on the official website here: e1dashz.wixsite.com/index/about-us
      It says this:
      Why E1DA?
      E1DA pronounced as E1-DAh.
      It is very simple, my name is Ivan, in Russian pronounced as "E1", "Dah" means "yes".
