Good evening all. Whenever I break dried leaves or flowers, I keep them for the next time I make faux handmade paper and then break them into small pieces to add interest to my paper. We've just watched the news and the hurricane is well and truly raging at full force (well I hope it can't get any worse). Living in a country where we don't get hurricanes, tornadoes or even a lot of snow, the news footage we just saw looks VERY SCARY to me.😧🫣 I hope everyone is safe. Sending good vibes your way. 💕 Ps. Great project. I need to make some folders for all my ephemera and dyed papers. 👍🏻

Hi Pam. I think you are very brave ! In the UK we do get storms with high winds and the high winds cause me anxiety due to the damage they cause. We do not have hurricanes though thank heavens. I would be terrified to live in Florida, couldn't ever live there, I'd be a nervous wreck. Hope everyone will be ok. ❤

I found that if you spray the leaves with sealer let dry that it helps with breakage so that a little water added to the modpauge helps and not such a gooey mess and less time to dry. 😊😊😊😊

Good Morning, Pam & amazing Outpostians! I do hope everyone in the path of this 'cane stays safe.
I'm pretty proud of myself, as I'm now in the "categorization, organization, and placement" stage of my crafty area deep-deep clean & organization spree. I just need to finish up sorting and storing my papers; then sort & store tools, fabrics, trims, and oddities.
And then... comes creative FUN again! Such as, I'll be covering a few boxes (one holding all my map paper, and the other holds all my dried flora), making my glue caddy, and making sure EVERYTHING (finally) is labeled.
Is anyone else undertaking a deep clean/(re)organization, or is it on your to do list? 😊
if you are going to mod podge to protect everything at the end,? could you mod podge to begin with instead of glue?

On Amazon, I just searched Scotch glue sticks and there it was. Hope this helps.
I certainly understand how you can fill up any empty space on your craft desk! I always get so excited when my desk is cleaned off😃 until I start crafting 🤨 it only takes ONE project and "poof" all crafting space is GONE 😢
I just hate using glitter and finding it for months. I think some more permanent blitz works in my world.
