I wanted to ask after seeing your craft room a couple weeks ago, about whether or not you would show us how you organize all of your crafting paper...from the regular size pieces of paper and mail to the scraps you've saved ?

Pam... your desk "issues" always make me giggle. You're right, though... too messy or too clean just doesn't work very well.
I can't leave things out (cat who loves to hide/destroy stuff lol), so I cannot allow my desk to reach that "too much" state anymore. It also sadly means I can't do any of the "use whats on your desk" challenges, but... it taught me.
There's a happy medium, and that spot is different for everyone. I tend to (still) go overboard grabbing stuff as I go digging through supplies for whatever my latest idea needs. I start out with the basic idea, but as I see other stuff, I am still way too fast bringing it out, "just in case".
It crowds stuff, it overwhelms, and I also know that when I'm finished for the day... it's all gotta be put away in some fashion.
Tools/crafty supplies like glues and inks... go where they belong. Project specific stuff - the papers I gathered, fabrics, and whatever I'm working on, etc - go into a "project tub" (it has a lid) which gets cleaned out and everything returned to where it belongs once the project is complete. If I have "too much" for the tub, I force myself to make stronger decisions on what I keep in the box to work with later and what gets put back away.
Limiting the # of project tubs (I have 2 larger ones for more involved projects and 3 smaller ones for less involved stuff) means when they're all being used- I gotta finish one up or decide to abandon it & put everything away.
Using the tubs, especially for larger projects (like a full JJ) helps keep everything together, but more importantly for me... once its all in a tub, I just pull items out I want to use right then.
I get less overwhelmed, the cat doesn't get in trouble, and I can drag my tub of supplies and a few extra tools (inks, scissors, glue, etc) anywhere I want in the house to continue my projects. (Sturdy lids on the containers make for great lapboards!)
Too many choices get overwhelming, my end results aren't, in my opinion, as good... I do LIKE having multiple options, but there's a limit. Since I can't manage to rein in my enthusiasm in the initial "digging through the stashes" phase... for now, my project tub system seems to help keep me a bit more in check... kind of. 😂
Hi pam kk from nz haven't 3atched you for awhile having therapy for my arthritis check the figs. I press instead of letters yes my brain goes faster than my hands for texting yep, but 3hat I see is awesome tell you the truth I've been busy with air dry clay qn making a fairy village for my gran daughter in August is 9 yes old an loves fairies.. so u, I have a great gran daughter an older gran daughter visited from oz I was thrilled, ggdaughter is 2 this year sept I think anyway how's your family my art table is a mess how's sunny an family husband yourself I had covid 3 months ago was to get the 3rd booster they're giving out f9r us 60 pluses I'm 68 69 in October 3 sometimes I feel like 80 blah.. let's get on with life love you all pam keep up the artistic awesome 3ork of crafting that you do pam your awesome kk from rotorua nz

I only used Outpostians cus i like the way it rolls off my tongue. It also points specifically to those of us who follow and adore Pam at the Paper Outpost. "Outpostians" is unique to and for Pam's channel. (the Paper Outpost doesn't give us much to work with as far as using it as the name of a specific sub-set group of people is concerned. 😅
Outposter... could work, I suppose - but it also makes me think of someone who has a job going out and hanging up posters. 🤷♀️ I do have a strange brain, however, so.... 😂
I get a similar thought with Paper Posters suggested by Kay - it just makes me think of large sheets of paper (as in the posters that hang on walls). 😄
But, nothing is official 🤗
I just got tired of coming up with variations of words for us fans of paper-crafts when greeting everyone in my comments. (Paper Aficionados was one I used quite often until I came up with Outpostians.)
In my opinion,feel free to go ahead and use whatever words feel right for you to describe this amazing group of creative people. If you prefer Outposters or Paper Posters or Paper Aficionados or ... well, anything else to Outpostians... go for it!
I'm not the gatekeeper of whatever we call ourselves; I'm just a fan who loves paper, loves this channel, and loves the community Pam has created.
No matter what we call ourselves, we all know it's this love of (or curiosity of) junk journaling and/or paper crafts in general that brought us here. Our adoration of Pam (and Sunny) and her great videos, ideas, tips, etc, and this community of great people are what keeps us coming back. 😀

Isn’t it funny how some words strike us differently. Outpostians is probably a great choice, it just reminds me of Orwellians, or the fans of George Orwell. We are probably all addicted enough that maybe we shouldn’t name it. 🤣 Happy creating!

Wonderful video. Just love all the fab ideas. I am in the ‘collecting’ stage. Every piece of everything. The craft space filling with lots of cardboard, old books, in fact almost anything I can get my hands on and have everyone ‘saving’ things for me. Pam If you glue the fabric to a piece of paper first, then glue this sturdier piece to the back of the envelope, I think it would be easier.
FYI I keep all my envelopes from junk mail, but for the life of me I can not find a lg. one with a window...because.
I've cut them all apart I like the patterns on the inside of security envelopes.
I have a big box of junk mail envelopes. So many things to make…and never enough time!

OMGosh. I never thought of using fabric on an envelope. When I use paper on an envelope I find cutting the sides of the envelope open then gluing the paper or .in this case. fabric on the inside then reglueing the sides of the envelope back. So much easier.

Pam, Would it Maybe have been a bit easier to have glued each of those onto a piece of scrap cardstock, or even a scrap pc of an envelope... THEN try to slip inside the envelope? Using it to stiffin the pc of fabric, makin it easier to slide it inside an uncut open envelope.
