As a fan of Sam and Colby that prank was messed up because you can see the genuine fear and sadness in Sam. I think that Sam and Colby didn't know it would go that fair.
Nah Colby knew. They admitted it when it happened. I watched them religiously at the time. Colby was part of the set up, Sam had no idea and genuinely thought he watched his best friend die
That prank was staged they talked about planning the whole thing. Also Sam Pepper is a TikTok star with millions of follower, he is most likely more relevant than this dude that doesn't even make basic research

The “In the Hood” pranks were mostly fake and extremely racist. They would pay black people to react violently and play into stereotypes for views. I remember an H3H3 video where Ethan was looking at someone recording these “pranksters” going up to some people and paying them for their reaction. These probably piss me off the most of all these pranks videos.

There was a prank youtuber at my local mall who got shot recently. The prank itself was not dangerous but the guy he was “pranking” was basically being harassed by the youtuber who was chasing him around shoving a phone in his face. The guy eventually pulled out a gun and shot him point blank. I don’t think he should have gotten shot over this but it’s still insane that this kind of public harassment and violation of privacy is so normalized.

UA-cam pranks are pretty much people being a public nuisance and assaulting strangers then saying "its just a prank bro." when someone reacts.
I was a huge fan of Sam and Colby when that happened. Colby knew it was a prank, Sam didn’t. That fear and heartbreak was Sam really thinking his best friend was dead.
I expected as much from Sam Pepper, but my feelings about Colby changed that day and I haven’t watched them in years.
They've changed. A lot.

If you wanna do a prank on your parents, I forgot the channel’s name but there’s this Japanese UA-cam that taped himself to the ceiling of his parents’ house to see how long they’ll notice if he’s there. It was really funny and lighthearted.
The "prank" on Sam is most likely real. The way his face was flushed, the color of it and positioning of the flushes would be hard to fake. Some people flush like that when wasted though. I have never seen the video so I dunno.

I haven't heard about it until now, but the riceman hanging prank genuinely makes me so mad. as someone who has literally had to sit down and have a conversation about suicide with their own mother, that's one of the last things you should ever fucking joke about.

I kinda remember a prank from the past like 3-5 years ago or so that went somewhat viral (?) for it's massive backfire.
There was this house and someone was inside it and tried to prank like the homeowner or so who came back home. After he got pranked at the door I think the homeowner paniced and ran in fear (and screaming i think) towards the road in front of the house and shortly was hit by a car and found dead on the spot by pranksters. Actually I'm not sure if it was ever real or fake since I never researched any informations about that but it kinda disappeared as fast as it appeared on youtube.
