I have stayed in or around soi lengkee on most of my visits to pattaya it has virtually everything you are going to need good bars, some shops, chemists, and good breakfasts nearby , Its near the baht bus route. Its also a good soi to stay because its quietish overnight unlike lk metro. I stay next door to opey de place pallin house 600 bt a night has all you need and A/C. Oh I agree Kevin the cost in Thailand has to be considerably lower. At 68 I am still working and hope to retire in a couple of years and come back to Asia . I spent years in the phillipines and through out china and Vietnam you appear to have it right mate
The last cluster of small hotels near the Vogue seemed to be away from the road and somewhat quiet.Of course this whole area will be noisier than where Kev lives now. It gets really busy according to time of day and season. Excellent and informative channel.
Great info Kev.....I stayed in China Garden on Lengkee last time....was a great little guest house apart from walkng through the kitchen to your room...lol. That Access one looked very nice and loads of room for parking at the back which can be a problem on Lengkee.

The bar in which you took this vlog is were I stopped in January of this year ,the hotel itself is decent the rooms are spacious and modern the food and drinks are pricey though.The only downside is the staff are unfriendly apart from the cleaner,they also kept my deposit of 2000 bhat saying I had drinks and snacks from the mini bar when I questioned this they said the cleaner said so ! a couple of people on trip advisor also had the same problem.
Love the places to stay vids Kev.....looking around them and the info on them. That looks like a nice little area ...plenty of choices. 50 baht for a swim....admittedly there is no water.... but hey for that price you can't complain. thanks mate.. Tums UP
Wow ! That is $23 USD a night ! In the US I think normally the lowest you can go is around $50 for a Motel 6,but only in small desolate roadside towns and the condition is much worse that the Accent Inn Pattaya.I don't like tropical climates, but if I did,Thailand would be my choice.

I can recommend The Haven Hotel in this clip, really clean and lovely beds, flat screen TV, balcony, aircon etc Only intended to stay a few days but stayed over a week. No chance of bed bugs here. Overall for 600 a night the best I have ever stayed in for that price.
looks very nice Kev ive stayed at the china garden on lengkee a couple of times , i believe its called "steak and co" now, the rooms are really nice i had a jacuzzi room with a double balcony and two big flat screens , one you can watch from the three person jacuzzi :) . was 1200 bht per night last year ,,, looking forward to the website mate

Hey Kev! Another great video of you trying to help people out. Love it. But next time see if the gym has aircon :) Anyway I tried staying on that side of soi buakhao... not for me thank you. Baht bus routes back to soi buakao sucks so hard. Much much easier to stay near 2nd road.
Hi Mate, Baht bus routes down 2nd road get off at Kiss Food and Drink and walk through ? I shall be doing Hotels and guest houses along 2nd road so no worries !
If you want access to a Gym, R-con on Soi Bukkaow gives you free access to Tonys gym opposite th efood market also this hotel/residence has no swimming pool however you have free access to the sister hotel hotel opposite which is R-con Siam. The R-con, nor the Siam which is more expensive, rates for monthly low season is around 8/9k Baht rising to 13k Baht during high season this was accurate as from September 2016.

Enjoy the details in your videos some try to put to much content and distort the message you have a balance. May I ask what you did before you retired?
You wonder how they make any money. The cost of all the imported stuff must be horrific. Labour's cheap - I nosily asked what tiling the floor of an en suite cost in Thailand and it was £30 - but I think they'd need pretty high occupancy to make it pay.
I just have to watch them again. Good old times.

Hi Mate, They are very well located and only 7 minute walk to L K Metro making it a 12 minutes stagger back after your night out !

Lots of condos in that area also. If you can stay at least one month, the price is around 500-600 bought per night.

The guest houses are a great alternative to hotels and almost like a B and B in England or the US
Hi Joe, They are but in England a lot of guest houses would charge £80.00 a night some were ridiculous prices !

Kev, do you know if you earn more money through ads if we watch the whole ad and click the link? Your channel is the only one where I don't skip them in the hope it helps you out more. Anyway I tried staying on that side of soi buakhao... not for me thank you. Baht bus routes back to soi buakao sucks so hard. Much much easier to stay near 2nd road.

What about the bathrooms at the access inn?
The bathrooms are all decored matching the rooms, There was a lady in the shower that would have made a brilliant thumbnail Hahaha !
If you want access to a Gym, R-con on Soi Bukkaow gives you free access to Tonys gym opposite th efood market also this hotel/residence has no swimming pool however you have free access to the sister hotel hotel opposite which is R-con Siam. The R-con, nor the Siam which is more expensive, rates for monthly low season is around 8/9k Baht rising to 13k Baht during high season this was accurate as from September 2016.

You wonder how they make any money. The cost of all the imported stuff must be horrific. Labour's cheap - I nosily asked what tiling the floor of an en suite cost in Thailand and it was £30 - but I think they'd need pretty high occupancy to make it pay.
Ask how much to tile an en-suite floor in the UK and you won't get change from £200.00 just for the labour !
That's what I told them. Once Brexit happens there has to be room for a work permit scheme for some things: farm labour anyway.
