Stanley Clarke, Mark King, James Jamerson, Victor Wooten
How about Greg Lake of ELP, and Leland Sklar....
Sadly, Greg Lake was it really worth very much money after Emerson Lake and Palmer called it a day. They had a couple of disastrous problems on their last tour that cost millions. And that was in the seventies so it was probably like 10 million dollars today. Keith Emerson was kind of Indiscreet about it but he did say several years ago that he wanted a reunion because they could all use the money, especially him and greg.
@@clarkmacgowan5114 The value of Greg Lake's estate is currently estimated between 10 and 15 million dollars.
LOL, Just Geddy Lee's Baseball Collection is worth 50 Million!
Geddy made around 40 million actually as did Alex and Neil, they pretty much decided to split everything three ways.
can someone tell me how do you calculate the net worth of a musician that passed away almost 40 years ago? how does it make any sense?
furthermore I know there are couple of sites about this net worth of celebrities but how do they get these information? are these clickbait sites are directly linked to the tax authorities?
In my humble opinion these lists are basically have nothing to do with the reality
None whatsoever. I read Noel Reddings book. With Hendrix, he never made any money other what he was given by management to live on.
He spent the whole rest of his life trying to unravel where the money eent, who owned what music, and who owned the rights to the music.
The Hendrix Experience was a perfect example of how management screwed acts, and bought and sold other people intellectual property and the legal paper trail just thinned and vanished in the wind.
@@Disciple_Of_Lerxst Yeah, those recording companies are like the devil you sell your soul to for fame. If you don't know what you're doing (or your manager), once you sign that contract and receive that first advance, you are in so much debt... Scary shit...
Where's Louis Johnson?
Don't let Gene find out he's in 3rd place 😂❤🤘
If it was based on talent, he wouldn't have made the list.
How in the hell did Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick not make this list???? He plays a friggin 12 string bass!!!!!! 😱
Cuz everyone knows Cheap Trick are nothing but teeny bopper pop rock that all sounds the same. That guy has no place on this list, but then neither should Gene Simmons and a couple others.
This based on “richest” not “greatest”.
@@bretttrommler756 you obviously have not heard any of Cheap Tricks albums, or you wouldn’t be spouting such nonsense. They’re the most diversified band in the world with a catalog of music that blow most bands out of the water !!open your ears, before you open your mouth !
You pick the cheap trick album and listen to it from front to back and see if you still feel the same way about being a teeny bopper band I might suggest their debut album But any album you pick will blow most any records out of the water
@@petervertefeuille9926😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 whatever, dude. Nothing about that band is any better than average at the most. You need to get out more.
@@bretttrommler756
Cheap trick gets written off as just another band, but they are an exceptionally talented especially in the vocals with Robin Zander, having earned the title the man with 1000 voices, which makes each sound different. RickNielsen writing is second to none The song heaven tonight about being too high, and never coming down will scare you
The hit songs are not an indication of how great their albums are. I have yet to find a band that Compares to what they do every album, other than the Beatles who cheap Trick are compared to ,no other band has shown me diversification like these guys
You have missed out David Ellefson, Rick Savage, Steve Harris, Fieldy from Korn and a whole lot more. They're all awesome bassists.
D'Arcy Wr. from SP?
Gig Oasis?
Steve Harris was on the list at $20 million
They are, but they are not the “richest” which is what this list is. The title is misleading.
as others wrote, there are some missing, for example John Myung of Dream Theater and I doubt, that Gary Thain of Uriah Heep made 17 million in 5 years in the 70s
Totally agree. My man John Myung should definitely be in there. His net worth isn’t no half a billion like Sir Paul, but 10 million should still be on the list.
Bob daisley, billy sheean, Wolfgang Van Halen, Tim Bogart, Danny partridge 😁 Gale Ann Dorsey tiran porter,
You left out Alec John Such of Bon Jovi as well as Steve Priest of the Sweet.
Cuz they're broke.
Bon Jovi is the worst band of all time...after Poison.
Marco Heitala from Nightwish
can you do kazoo next?
Tambourine
Nagyon szepen koszonom ❤❤❤ vidam szep napot kivanok Bolldog uj evet❤❤❤❤
I thought Greg K from the Offspring would be on here or did I miss it on the video?
Jaco pasturios Is Number 1....
The bass players that also wrote the songs for the bands they were in like Sting. Waters and Simmons got paid the most lol. If you can write hits you are in the green!
Also Dennis Meedham.of " The Scatchers"
WTF no Stanley Clarke?
Steve Harris,Gründer und Hauptsongwriter von Iron Maiden einer der erfolgreichsten Rock/Metal Bands hat definitiv mehr
Dave Pegg & Graham Maby belong on the list.
Why are the Scottish ones called 'Scottish', but the English ones called 'British' and not 'English'? The Scottish ones are also British.
Because most people in Scotland would call themselves Scottish not British but if you come from London or Northern Ireland generally you call yourself British but if you come from the rest of England you are English, Scotland you are Scottish and Wales you are Welsh. Also Catholics from Northern Ireland would never call themselves British either. You would call yourself British if you were from Channel Islands or Gibraltar though or the Falkland Islands or other dependencies. Usually people from the commonwealth or a dependency like India or NZL would consider themselves more British ie Anglo- Indian than a Scotsman.
@@Brucemcleod2345English people in England call themselves English, the vibrant communities call themselves British.
@@clemfandango619 Well said. The more multicultural cities, dependencies and Protestants of. Northern Ireland call themselves British
John Taylor is mentioned twice on this list (#37 and #34).
Where does Billy Sheehan fit into your program he is worth $2 M and he plays awesome too????
Robert DeLeo and Greg Lake?!
@JeffKopis Haven't you read the word "bassists" on the title?
What about jack Cassidy of hot tuna
Billy Sheehan
Lemmy from Motorhead only worth 10 mil? Come on
He spent most of it on smokes, Jack Daniels, and speed.
That's actually very realistic. People don't understand that it isn't the great ones who make the most money. I mean the fact that Gene Simmons is worth over 500 million dollars makes me want to heave.
You forgot Johnny Rod of Wasp.
I notice a similarity between n. 34 and n. 37. Are them twins?
Cliff burton the best!
And Cliff burton forever!
Jeff Ament -PJ and Stefan Lessard -DMB make bank.
Peter Steele
Joey de Maio? 🤘🤘🤘
Flea 😎
Alejandra Villarreal
should be here
Jack Bruce, definately
In a video from 13 days ago about singers, Paul Mc Cartney had 200,000 less than in this one! I earned that much in 2 weeks? it seems strange to me
Sorry, -200 million
Where is Olivier Riedel from Rammstein?
You forgot Dave Farell from Linkin Park
Ok, i can see to Gene Simmons. And Paul Stanley?
ONE OF MY BESTIES' CRUSH IS NUMBER 1!!!
Where the Hell is Leland Sklar ?
💜 Джин Симмонс
Кисс 💜
❤️ Лемми Килмстер ❤️
What's really funny is the first dude on this list is my old roommate back in LA and he caused me to get evicted and live on the streets.... The fucking royalties showed up like every 4 months or so... Landlords don't like getting paid on that kind of timeframe
you forgot-Chas Chandler--------??????????????
Fieldy from Korn? Mark from Blink 182??
John Taylor from Duran Duran Is twice
Should of put what bands they were with
poor Jimmy Bain I am richer than him... 😞
Also, still alive!
@@rongendron8705 :-)
Tom Petersson
You did'nt say the name the band for whom they played. It will avoid to search for and have a better understanding for why they are so rich.
Where was Greg Lake???
Justin Chancellor.
Justin Chancellor, $45 million
As mentioned already, Mark King (level 42) not here!!
Billy Sheehan? Come on
Where is Glen Hughes? Billy Shehaan? Nathan East?
I shouldn't be surprised that most of the musicians died before their time and that Paul would be the highest paid bassist.
wheres leland sklar here?
It would be nice and more responsible if the name of the band or group each person is affiliated with was included.... that's a shame.
Billie Sheehan? I thought he was payed well.
Justin Chancellor from Tool?
Chris Wolstenholme is worth 10m. There is no way a writer/player from a band that sells out stadiums and has endorsements is worth 1.5m 😂
No, Def Leppard?
Peter steele?
Title is out of order for this. This list only accounted for “richest”. If we are talking the greatest, the order is way off. McCartney I could leave at number one, 2 and 3 would definitely change. How is Lemmy not 2 or 3? Steve Harris, cmon, now…
Not even close....John Entwistle fron The Who is in a league by himself. No one else even comes close.
This is money, not skill.
@@geographyinaction7814 Got it. The Who rocked out way before the big money. Every time I listen to Entwistle play bass on "The Real Me" from Quadraphenia, there's no doubt about that guys skills. Still blows my mind after nearly 50 years.
Mark King not on the list. Why. 🤷🏻♂️
gene simmons is all through merchandise NOT from record sales and kiss in # 99 on wiki biggest selling artists of all time
Was Jim lea in the list sorry but I have attention deficit disorder
🤣🤣😱😱p
Millions of Dollars, but have to pee like the common man. 😜
Chris W from Muse 1.5 M 😂😂😂😂😂
Where Bono-U2 ?
on a carribean island in his mansion worries about poor people.
He’s the lead singer
Great U2 fan you are. He doesn’t even play bass
@@melchizedekful he’s an activist that’s why and a Christian
I strongly dispute a bunch of these. There's no way Doug Pinnick is worth 11 million.
Alex jonh such
c'est de l'argent
I thought Davie504 would be at the top.
Davey504
Background music no base
Playing bass don’t pay obviously
Poor music choice for honoring highest paid bassists.
Steve Harris 40 milhões 😂😂😂 piada ne.genne 500
Tom Araya Is from chile Is not American
😯👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😯👍🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻😯👍🏻
How is Mike Mills from REM worth more than Geddy Lee of Rush?? REM sucks compared to Rush.
Kiss fan
👇
Lista ridícula kkkkkkkk Steve Harris 40 milhões 😅😅😅
Why is Gene Simmons here? LMAO
Why are you counting the dead ones? They ain't worth shit NOW.
Adam Clayton isn't remotely Irish.
Does Gene even play Bass. Lmao?
Eat the Rich(Life ist a Bitch)
Where is Geddy Lee? This is ridiculous AND disrespectful to 95% of the people you DID put on here... Shoulda shown EVERYbody's band or group.... What a disservice to them...
Number 21
sorry, cliff burton is dead but each year metallica offer in donation in a family 2,000,00$ additionate that 1996 at ..... 2022 the ricest of cliff is 40,000,000$
This video is BS. Nobody knows the worth of these musicians. It's not as if this is public information. People are just guessing at net worth.
Gene simmons isn't a bassist, hes a circus side show performer
Rick Savage?
Paul McCartney is the greatest singer songwriter in the history of rock and roll music or any music to boot second is Michael Jackson he's a great singer-songwriter too
Tony Levin????
