Dr Adrian / @dradrianvenables7627
So once again today I found myself with a spare 2 hours, so I combined the dog walk with a drone flight.
I took myself the 11 miles from my gaff to a lovely wood which is near the towns of Royal Wootton Bassett and Malmesbury.
Ravensroost Wood where I decided to go, it was a trip well worth the time.
I enjoy watching this!
Hey it is great to see you have grown to many viewers and comments! I have a lot of other videos and things to catch up on now so I may be missing several. So I will try to watch a bit and give my thumbs up on all then move along til things slow down. Wishing you the best Andy! GBY and Take care! Janet
@@rdutridge Hi, Janet. I understand. No problem. GBY, Janet.
Great video, Andy! Natural obstacle course lol
@DrKerr.. It was fun. It's a great way to see the woods, I think.
@@MadDogsandEnglishman 100% Andy
Love your videos it's different youtube videos are getting boring you take risks Love it I've been flying drones for 6 years now and I'd definitely crash my drone flying like you do i could see your videos in movies very talented mate cheers col from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺
Hi, Colin. Thank you for your comment, I'd love to make some kind of a movie using my drone footage. Perhaps I should go as a freelance drone pilot. 😁😁
Thanks for watching, Col, It's amazing that you can see my videos all the way in Australia. Lovely people and a lovely country.
Lovely vid Andy . Hoping to get out tomorrow weather looks like it’s all over the place at the moment . Hoping Devon will still have a sunny day like today .
Hello, Mark. I too hope to get out tomorrow, my car is going in for it's service but I do hope to get out to the woods at some point. The weather is set to be pretty stormy, but we'll see what transcribes.
Good Video Andy.
@mobykeryder6415 Cheers, Dave. Happy New Year. Hope it's better than the last one bud.
@@mobykeryder6415 Thanks, I like doing what I do.
@@MadDogsandEnglishman Lets hope so Andy. Been fitting the solar panels today on the camper. Bloomin freezing up this way.
@@mobykeryder6415 Hi, Dave. Any video?? It's been freezing up here as well. Bad weather coming in tomorrow! Not sure how bad, but it'll be a crap ride back on the bike from the garage (car going in for a service)
@@MadDogsandEnglishman Just posted the first vid of 2025. I'll post the next one tomorrow.
Good video x
It was fun.😊
well we didnt see the great british yeti but we did see its den.another flight over and no wildlife great flight i enjoy thank you.
This was an interesting little wood. I really do enjoy just being a part of the great outdoors. Such a pleasure to be in places such as these.
I've been using my DJI Neo several times now, however the mistake I've been making is trying to guide the drone looking at it in the sky 🤔 Since watching a few of your vlogs and seeing how confident you are just looking at your screen, I gave it a go in Abingdon meadow fields, it's a whole new game changer, can see this is the way forward 👍 Thanks 🙏
Hi, Terry. Hello there in Abingdon. Lovely town! It takes some time to break an old habit. Looking at the screen rather than the drone is a game changer. I just love this little drone. It's perfect for what I want it to do.
Thanks for watching, Terry. Safe flying.
Drone flyer, bike rider, film producer and now a street dancer you are just amazing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍👍
Haha. I just enjoy life. 😊😊
@@MadDogsandEnglishman And so you should mate.
Nice to see you happy Andy , keep doing what you enjoy 👍
That forest required pretty much all of your skills and concentration it appeared. I think maybe even animals such as deer would tend to avoid going through some of the spots that you were flying in. If you like challenges, I guess you chose the right place today. It was still very interesting and beautiful though, a great place to wander for both you and the dogs. Spring is on its way and the little buds and leaves on the trees that it will bring will surely make things a little easier for you and your drone navigation. January and February are all about the anticipation of better things to come as we move into March. You are doing an excellent job of making do with your leisure time this Fall and Winter has brought. Very well done my friend. Continue to get out and enjoy yourself and breath in that fresh outdoor air. Take care and I will see you on the next one.
Hi, Terry. This was a very difficult wood to fly, but I really did enjoy it. There was pretty much nothing in here to see apart from the wood itself, which was just a lovely place to be. I really do like being out here, Terry. I does put me in a good mind-place. I think all of us would benefit from being out in the forests and the woods. Being couped up indoors watching the box is not good for our mind, body and soul. Even more reason to get out here.
Talk soon, Terry. See you on the next one.
we will see a lot more snow before spring comes,we are just starting our winter.
We have snow in our forecast for this weekend. It would be nice to fly in the snow through a forest.
yes id like to see that.
@@bigfoot-g4i We got snow, but it's going to turn to rain.
There's about 2 inches on the ground atm.
Thanks for the mention Andy - you fly your Neo in places that I wouldn't dream of. This month the DJI flip will be announced and it will be interesting to see how it compares.
Hi, Adrian. Thanks once again for the prop guards. They will be very useful, I'm sure! As for the flip. I will keep an open eye on that one to see how it compares with the Neo. It'll have to go some way to compare or beat it.
The new dji flip coming out looks ugly and flimsy !!!
Easily broken and I will NOT be buying one !!!
Will stick to my neo/avata 2 drones !!
@hiluxmonstertruckgleno6276 Hi. I've not seen it yet, but if it's like that, then I'll bot be buying one either. The Neo is all I really need for now.
@@hiluxmonstertruckgleno6276 I tend to agree with you. From the latest leaks I've seen today, it looks to be similar to the Neo but larger with an extended range, front facing LIDAR and the camera from the Mini 4 pro. It certainly doesn't look as robust though and that's a key selling point for clumsy pilots like me 🙂. No doubt the initial reviews from those sent the drone early from DJI will say its the best thing ever though!
Your dogs are very well behaved What are there names?
Do you think one of those anti glare sun hoods, for your phone, would give you an advantage for seeing the branches (Scraggle)?
Hi. Their names are Neo and Socks.
As for the anti-glare. That's not the problem. I probably need filters on the drone.
