The Neo just needs gps put into it, the size is great fun for flying through small spaces and holes. I wish dji would make the avata2 compatible with the RC2 just like the Neo.
@RayRay-zc2ed I'm waiting for the Neo 2 to come out..that will be a drone I'll be very interested in buying. A better camera, more memory, and a longer flight time. It would almost make the Avata a drone not worth buying.

Hi bud, I search out a tree where there was a slot, I had my DJI Action cam on a spike mount, and it fitted snugly into a slot in the tree. so I used that to film from. I agree with you as the Flip stands from the launch date, it is too big and expensive for casual users to be interested as well and it looks like fingers can go into the props! I expected to see from DJI a larger version of the NEO but still under 250g with the larger camera sensor, longer battery life, and a proper stable gimbal like the Flip that can be locked out in landscape or vertical with a plastic clip for protection on impact. I am waiting for someone to do crash tests of the Flip compared to the Neo, I think the Neo will win :) The Flip looks fragile, but if they add Motion Controller 3 and Goggles N3, FPV capabilities then I may sell my Mini 2 and still keep the Neo Flymore I own with the Motion Controller 3, FPV Controller 3 and Goggles N3 and buy the Flip as well as they would complement each other for video quality vs portability. I got a Flip earlier today. Flown it once and am just going to look at the footage soon. I have the Neo and Mini 2 but wanted s similar drone to the Neo, but more capability to film and fly higher and in stronger winds.
@@MadDogsandEnglishman It seems quieter than the Neo, but not by much, Lower pitch possibly. I will have to do a side by side comparison. Possible the only breakage might be the props guards arms pivot. It does the same quick shots as the Neo. I tried them all and it went ok. I might put some footage up on my channel. Will let you know.

I Love My NEO. Fun for me and the little kids 4-5 yrs old Love it and safe for them, the Flip is just to big and 2 X the price if you got combo like I did with Neo and remote separate, was $420 . US

I went to Nightingale Woods many, many years ago and was disappointed, as it was more a young plantation and didn’t have that woods feel. So I was pleasantly surprised last week when I went back. It is much older now and very nice. Also didn’t realise that Roves farm was so close, walked straight from the woods into their car park. Ended up going in to their cafe, no entry fee. The coffee was really good and also bought some bacon and pies from the farm shop. Not overpriced and very tasty. So came away from Nightingale woods with a totally different experience from my first visit. Will visit again. I done think a Flip would last 2 minutes in one of your woodland adventures Andy. If I didn't have a Neo, i might consider it, but it doesn't offer enough for me to get one. I notice that some UA-camrs have called it the 'Flop' so I'll be interesting to see how it sells.

It was me who said the goggles would be no good I've been searching for a cheap alternative myself, you would have thought a company would have picked up on it by now. Just ordered an extension for the controller to put the iPad mini in then i might not hit s many branches 🤞.

The Neo has the best Follow me mode and mostly it's small you can fly it anywhere. Flip has nothing interest me except for the camera. If it won't fight a level 5 wind then it's just like a neo.. Flip has better 4k video but unless you have fast internet and fast cpu to edit 4k this is useless for me too.
@@reyzuna Thw Neo's follow modes are the best I've ever experienced in the drones I've had. The camera isn't too shabby either. Overall, it's a great little drone.
There's no way the Flip could have gone where that little guy went... it's too big! I'm skipping the Flip as well. The Neo is far too much fun, especially with the goggles.
I don't like this drone, poor flying time so less range, looks like you could damage your finger in it, also really ugly especially when folded. But has a place for flying in confined spaces like indoors or a park.

I've never had a problem with I following me. It's a great little drone. If they bring out a Neo 2, I'd probably buy it.

Flip seems to be a solid all-rounder for those without a bunch of existing gear.

The Neo has the best Follow me mode and mostly it's small you can fly it anywhere. Flip has nothing interest me except for the camera. If it won't fight a level 5 wind then it's just like a neo.. Flip has better 4k video but unless you have fast internet and fast cpu to edit 4k this is useless for me too.
@@reyzuna Thw Neo's follow modes are the best I've ever experienced in the drones I've had. The camera isn't too shabby either. Overall, it's a great little drone.

There's no way the Flip could have gone where that little guy went... it's too big! I'm skipping the Flip as well. The Neo is far too much fun, especially with the goggles.
I'll go get the goggles at some point later this year. I just don't like the way it tilts and banks.
I don't like this drone, poor flying time so less range, looks like you could damage your finger in it, also really ugly especially when folded. But has a place for flying in confined spaces like indoors or a park.

It is for me. Nothing else would stand up to it. I crash the Neo, and it carries on flying. 😊

I don't think the Flip can take the hammering I give the Neo. I'd like to seemif it could. It would make an interesting experiment.
