Plans like this make me look forward to the future of CT! Hartford is an untapped goldmine of underutilized real estate and economic potential. Projects like this will lead the city into becoming a beacon of progress worthy of its historic legacy.
Long overdue but I think I 84 should go underground much further into east hartford like past the old cinemas on Silver Lane and west till your past the twisties.. Same with rt2 keep it under ground till you get out to Glastonbury...(this would open up even more river front along rt2 and the Hockinum along 84). And while you got the cash it's time to finish 384 to Providence and Rt. 11 to New London. What stinks about the whole thing is that we the residents of the area are going to have to live through all the construction. I think I'll move away for twenty years and come back when it's finished!
It will never happen. Ct 's way of improving is to be as cheap as possible and do band-aid jobs mean while the big cities in CT continue to look like shit and fall deeper into disarray

I think Hartford would benefit a lot from this if it goes according to plan.
Idc if I’m the only hopeful one here, but a project this size usually takes years to complete.
Visionary.....and long overdue!

It's not that for the construction, other cities have construction every week
@@atonmartell2813 some seem to have constant construction like New York!
Aton Martell a lot of major cities have construction all the time. The Hartford area seem to stuck in time, pretty much.
The Hartford version of Boston's Big Dig!
