In the late 19th century, there was a time when Hartford was the wealthiest city in the world on a per capita basis, and a center of finance and industry. The City's wealth from this time is reflected in the Wadsworth's collection. You might also catch a baseball game at Dunkin Donuts park, which hosts the Colorado Rockies AA affiliate and has been rated one of the best minor league ballparks in the country. Minor league baseball provides some of the best entertainment in sports, and is affordable. I am glad that you visited the Elizabeth Park Rose Garden, my late mother's favorite place in the City. As you said, Spring is the right time to see the roses in bloom, but October is also nice when the Fall leaves are changing color and the weather is very pleasant. The Center Church stained glass windows, from the 19th century, are also very impressive, and can be visited by an appointment with the church. The church building was in your video - right across the street from the Wadsworth.

I live in a suburb of Bridgeport, but have been to Hartford many times. Yes, there are some bad neighborhoods. However, the downtown area is awesome!
