That one was pretty good as well However I absolutely hated having to beat raditz in time for that because raditz plays like an absolute coward in that fight lmao. It took me several tries to beat that initial fight and it required me to completely change how i was playing other fights, but i think it made me better at handling defensive options in the end.
Honestly I know one of the few pain points is the non-narrated screenshot story mode but the map and the TONS of branching what-ifs make this shit amazing, one of the best story modes in dragon ball games as of late
the androids would. cell already had up to date info on them since the spy robots captured data from after frieza arrived on earth post-namek and goku fought him. that's why cell has frieza and king cold's DNA
This timelines is probably completely fucked anyway really, i don't think they'd even make it past 3rd form frieza? They have no ssj, piccolo never fuses with nail, vegeta leaves earth again so probably doesn't get with bulma,sure goku is a little stronger up to his fight with the ginyus, but him and vegeta don't get nearly as many zenkais because of that

When it's maxed, the move will be greyed out, and the damage is absolutely nuts when you chain it in a combo (i managed to reach 41k in damage with a combo to spirit bomb) Hope this helps you and everyone else who didn't know!

Just a thing they didn't mention. Even if they trusted Vegeta and thought to use the Dragonballs to make someone imortal to fight Frieza, didn't they just use them "hours ago" to revive Goku? Then you'd have to wait a year.
They explain it by saying they trained for a non-specific amount of time before Frieza actually arrived on Earth, so it may or may not have been an option.
i managed to get that in 3 tries. The first time I just took too much damage on guldo, sadly enough. Second try i found a preferred strategy but got cooked a little too much by the time I reached ginyu, and 3rd... went very well, actually. It's a pretty good what if

He'd get annihilated after returning to normal, or he'd get obliterated by Frieza immediately. Toriyama probably didn't take this system too seriously, but I really don't think this scenario proves anything.

The Ginyu Force vs. Z-Fighters battle was so hype! Hearing the Z-Fighters all jump in to mop up the Ginyu Force was so cool, and even Chiaotzu had a hype moment against Ginyu himself.

For those curious: Vegeta's great ape power level is 180,000. Ginyu's is 120,000 and he's the strongest. While yes Great Ape vegeta is technically stronger then the ginyu's i dont think he can beat the ginyu force, I dont think the force is stupid enough to fight him 1 on 1 as a great ape. EVEN IF they are that stupid, yes vegeta can just stomp guldo, jeice and recoome, but burter is still "the fastest in the in the universe" and great ape is slow, a bad match up, and ginyu can body change. Also want to point that if even an idiot like yaijirobe can figure out the tail weakness. Its only a matter of time before the ginyu's do aswell
I agree except the fact great ape is not slow, goku even points out in the story that vegeta seems just as fast if not faster when he transformed and also with how cocky the Ginyu force is they would more than likely try to 1v1 him up until jeice and burter at that point they would more than likely win if they try at full power from the start

You can switch from rotating the stick to button mashing while still using the Classic controls. Go to Options > Controls & Camera > Speed Impact Controls, and change it to Standard for button mashing.
He knows, it’s just there’s not much of a chance to react to the button to appear, normally he’s mashing the attack button to combo but the prompt shows up and he whiffs the timing, it happens to me all the time too
I remember losing to Great Ape Vegeta like two times and then I just used solar flare like one time and had zero difficulties. The fact people rage quit on him is crazy, and no I wasn't on Easy. Some people just ain't made for any sort of challenge, I swear

As a professional power scaler, I’ve gotta say Frieza would be cooked in this what if. Basically during Vegeta’s initial attack, Base Goku is comparable to his Kaiokenx3 power in canon. He then dies and gets about 2 months of King Kai training. From there he gets Kaioken and should be stronger than he was in canon. From there he gets an extra year of training in the Gravity Chamber alongside Vegeta (it took Frieza 2 years to get from Namek to Earth). Training with Vegeta is literally his best training method by even Whis’s measures. So considering it took Goku 6 days to get as powerful as he did, then imagine how strong he got after doing that 61X over with Vegeta. So like with KaiokenX20 Goku should at least be a challenge to Frieza’s full power if not outright stronger.
The writing in the What Ifs is fucking on fleek so far. I already played this route, and it blew me away. Can't wait to see what else the Episode Mode has to offer.

I doubt you will see this post, but Goku has 3 different paths. 1: Side by Side, which you just completed. 2. Pushing the Limit, which you can unlock by choosing to work with Piccolo in the first scene, and then defeat Raditz again as soon as possible. 3. During Chapter 3 during the Androids/Cell arc, during the Hyperbolic Time Chamber mission, choose to help Piccolo to unlock The Changing Future arc.

Theres another route if you go with Piccolo and beat Raditz before the timer runs out. That branch lasts almost as long as this one. Its insane.

As a professional power scaler, I’ve gotta say Frieza would be cooked in this what if. Basically during Vegeta’s initial attack, Base Goku is comparable to his Kaiokenx3 power in canon. He then dies and gets about 2 months of King Kai training. From there he gets Kaioken and should be stronger than he was in canon.
From there he gets an extra year of training in the Gravity Chamber alongside Vegeta (it took Frieza 2 years to get from Namek to Earth). Training with Vegeta is literally his best training method by even Whis’s measures.
So considering it took Goku 6 days to get as powerful as he did, then imagine how strong he got after doing that 61X over with Vegeta. So like with KaiokenX20 Goku should at least be a challenge to Frieza’s full power if not outright stronger.

I doubt you will see this post, but Goku has 3 different paths.
1: Side by Side, which you just completed.
2. Pushing the Limit, which you can unlock by choosing to work with Piccolo in the first scene, and then defeat Raditz again as soon as possible.
3. During Chapter 3 during the Androids/Cell arc, during the Hyperbolic Time Chamber mission, choose to help Piccolo to unlock The Changing Future arc.
THIS IS WHAT I LIVED FOR, LITERALLY THE BEST TIME LINE RN!!!
