lol same - did one campaign mission and couldn't be bothered to fix the UI etc.
I just play singleplayer mostly. Tried FaF but it was a little too hard to get into and have fun. Multiplayer vs AI with my two lil bros is awesome though!

Man, even WATCHING an operational Yllona for so long is goddamn stressful. Can't imagine how the players must've felt.
the yllona seems a bit op no? I feel like maybe the time and/or cost per nuke should be doubled.
@@Robbedem It is an experimental and a very expensive one to build. They come in the very late game. To be honest, any weapon of that caliber if you don't shut down fast means game over.
@@Robbedem They were only building as quickly as they did because they had a big eco advantage and they'd invested a huge amount into defense. Like, in a sense, South Team was constantly wasting units and not hitting weak spots, while north was maintaining that sea advantage in the west, stalling in the east, and putting everything into keeping that nuke launcher going. The amount of defenses they had around it was insane, and they weren't detected until it was too late to build counters quickly. Also, South Team sort of wiffed building SMDs consistently. They should have been way out ahead of it. What they were throwing with artillery at the Yolo could have shredded the rest of North's economy if they didn't Gambler's Fallacy their way into getting target obsessed.
Was my first thought, after three volleys with the Dukes at first and the scathes later, they should hav started the target creep that the North team eventually got to, probably still would have lost but they would have had a chance that way
34:00 I counted. It takes a Megalith 2-3 shots to take down a Brick. They're tough and the size of a small apartment building.
at 34.30 that tactical missile strike
was insane, Gyle missed in being to zoomd in on the Mega but its there.
Team 2 did really well with their tac missiles this game.
also the "redundant island" at the top right was used to make t3 engineers which in turn made a line of fatboys underwater it was a good attempt they just got supernuked
Fun Fact: Kampfkeks ist german for Battle cookie and is a reference to the (T)Raumschiff surprise movie made by Michael "Bully" Herbig. It's really good and well known german Comedy movie
That Yolona close super-support-nuke was great! One poor brick survived.

You give those battleships too little credit Gyle. Those things were killing experimentals and bricks sitting on team 2's shores for like half the game. I'd say they were pretty crucial in preventing the formation of a critical mass of land units.
Translations of the German usernames:
Kampfkeks - battle/fight cookie (Kampf - keks, compound of two words)
Knabberwasser - nibble water (Knabber - wasser, also compound)
It actually is laboratory slang / a nickname for peroxymonosulfuric acid as it is a liquid that "nibbles" on nearly anything

This is one of the most frustrating games ive watched in a while. OMG the attacks from the top right which were just slept on every time
Yeah it frustrated me as well. No way is Kampfkeks a 1800 pro player. He didn't micro his air well. Didn't fire the yolo for like 60 seconds, didn't ground fire the CZAR to end the weakened megalith in the pond, or ground fire it to wipe out the ASF incoming. And kept diverting the yolo to alternating targets instead of focusing on the scathis. After 2 yolo, their smd's were empty. Kampfkeks could have ended the game 10 minutes earlier.

Yeah, it was painful to watch that. Hindsight is 20/20 and all that. They only needed one good bombing run to take out that game ender.

I can't imagine seeing that super nuke launcher going up, realising that I had air superiority and /not/ building T2 fighter bomber spam to flank left over the water. It's a clear run, barely any real AA intercept. You just need to down the shields for the artillery. I also can't imagine being a cybran ACU with laser and teleporter and not dropping right on the launcher. Like you're going to die anyway its a one way teleport... but you can 100% get that laser trained on the launcher for 2 seconds then catch it in your death nuke and its gone. No clue what was going on mentally. So painful to watch them go down like this :D
IIRC shield coverage also dampens against death nukes. If the timing was perfect it still might have been enough for the scathis to get through, but it would be a tough call.
As for getting air over the water, there was lots of AA in the water and decently sized ASF on both sides. It's really hard to estimate enemy numbers.
@@r3dp9 Yeah but he'd had recent air engagements, could build spy waves first and was guaranteed to lose if the launcher stays online. At that point you definitely risk a bad air fight to get the launcher gone.
@@r3dp9 Forget the scathis they had the dukes and that was before it blew up half their base.
Team 2 wasted so much firepower on shields they could never hope to breach when a good half of team 1's P-Gens were unshielded.

Unrelated to this cast but I hear comments are helpful : Gyle should quote players' legacy names in matches, i.e Chisato = Yudi, TheWheelie = Farms ; would make it easier to follow
Not sure if this is the reference that was intended, but the Lagavulin is an early-game miniboss you can encounter in Slay the Spire!
I have this game. I never got around to installing it and trying it. It looks pretty epic in scope.

I want to give you some help pronouncing it, and I thought about where in English you have k and n in the right way and... here's my explanation.

yolo is just imba. its faster, harder to kill and has greater damage and radius than conventional strats... and its pinpoint - unlike the mavor
he sent the megalith in the wrong direction, why? only that player knows.
so thats what happens when a Yolona is allowed to stay alive and run amuck... i see why its called the ultimate game ender... thing single handed flipped the game over on its head.
