How China responded after US shot down suspected spy balloon

- China expressed its “strong dissatisfaction and protest” after the US shot down a suspected spy balloon, China’s foreign ministry said in a statement. #CNN #news
Had the tables been turned and one of our air balloons entered China's airspace, you know DAMN well that they would have shot it down too.
It was impossible for a balloon from US to flow like this in the air. Thus any such balloon is different entering China MUST be a spy balloon and MUST be shot down.
Certainly not waited days like US did
Everyone on both sides of the balloon argument acting as if both China and the United States have nothing to lose if we sever all ties and relations over a fucking balloon, China already has setup shop here in the United States as the largest employer under the name Walmart. You think China or the United States wants to shut down Walmart?? 😆
Lol they would have shot it down before it enters Chinese airspace
It was just a white, huge, slow-moving, out-of-control weather balloon for all to see. The United States, as the world's superpower, has shown the Chinese that they will use force to attack Chinese civilians and property. China has already begun to discuss the need to manufacture 10,000 nuclear weapons and military deployment in space. As you know, China has ranked first in the world in power generation for 10 consecutive years, twice that of the United States, which ranks second in the world. Consider the massive uranium deposits found in Mongolia and Xinjiang, China. It is not a problem to use these power generation capacity to run centrifuges to enrich uranium and make 10,000 nuclear weapons。
If it really was a mistake and all... China would have called up the US and said that one of the balloons was off course can you help us get it back?
Yeah that would make sense

There is no "getting it back". The only things that can fly controllably at 65,000 feet are very high performance jet airplanes and missiles, and you can't retrieve a balloon with a jet that needs to fly at close to the speed of sound just to stay airborn. The only choices were leave it alone or shoot it down.
You send a balloon to my airspace without notifying me. I shut it down and you angry? What world are we living in?
wait till you hear about court cases in USA lol
Ask the the Americans the pioneering in the spy work.
If there isn’t already, there ought to be a treaty saying that if there’s no black box with a pinger on board these things that fly into our airspace, it should be automatically presumed to be an espionage apparatus, and treated accordingly. And also that if the country it flies over has to spot it themselves, without being notified by the country that sent it, that alone ought to warrant it being treated as an espionage device. And any country that will not agree to any such treaty ought to be suspect.
If your balloon blows off course, you immediately contact the country involved & tell them.
You don’t wait until it’s found and make up an excuse.
Like how you should inform the world when you know a novel virus is released in your country? Yea, China doesn't act like that.

It should have been shot down before it ever spent days in our airspace.
If anyone as much as flew a kite 10ft within Chinese air space, they would retaliate.
The real story is, why did we allow it in our airspace to begin with?
These balloons don't set off radars, usually. And they can fly at altitudes hard to see with the naked eye. Then comes the problem of shooting it down once it's in our airspace. They usually carry pretty heavy equipment. Don't want it crashing through the roof of some American family, wait until it's over the water.

As a normal person, I might react the way US did. But - as a civilised nation talking to another; as someone already with the intention of peace talks about mutual economic benefits, there is no sincerity: is there? Must Americans always do things by force, using the primal instincts (like how they set military bases all over world in lands which don't belong to them?) Come on - US isn't a 3rd world country, driven by fear and laws of the wild. It's high time US show some dignity as the world major super power. Be civilised and, most importantly, be brave.
Logically, you really think USA wasn't overreacting?

Their response makes no sense knowing there are international air space laws. They should have alerted us per those laws. This seems like scouting ahead of something else. Conflicts today are not like the past. Today it is tech, information and economic.
International prohibits any shooting of civilian aircraft. What US did is a clear violation.
And yet our leadership allowed a coast to coast flight. Why? And why does the media seem intent on avoiding obvious questions? It could have been shot down when it was over unpopulated areas in the west and it was not.
Holy wow. I didn't think viewers of CNN were able to have situational awareness lol jk. I know you don't want CNN. No one does 😅
It was just a white, huge, slow-moving, out-of-control weather balloon for all to see.
@@goingbonkerswithmyhonkers9374, if you got out of your political bubble you would be surprised that people from the other side can actually think instead of relying on bashing or memes as a source.
China is that little kid that puts his finger infront of his siblings face and says "im not touching you, im not touching you!" Then cries to mom when he gets his hand slapped away.
And America is the kid who keeps throwing rocks at the middle eastern kids

after 2 days u think they r the ones crying? we are the one who’s having a melt down lol
Im thinking they were trying to see how long the balloon last in U.S sky before shooting it down. The fact that it took days before it was shot down is what worries me. Next time it might be a nuke the balloon is carrying.
I love Scary Mary. She really is quite the expert, and I am so glad we have her!
Idk how you accidentally have multiple balloons escape.
Something over 65+ ft wide too
Obviously not
I call Chinese bs
Agreed, Battleborn. It's not a frigging chipmunk! It's a huge, well designed piece of surveillance gear. You don't just "lose control" over something that big because of "prevailing winds." If you can make something work well at 60,000 feet, you can also control it and if you do happen to lose control, you warn the country to which it's heading, that it's "coming your way." Perhaps the US should launch a balloon and have it drift over China and see what their reaction is.
The Chinese have finished celebrating the new year today and, according to tradition, they launched a billion balloons into the sky.😂

Who knows what death viruses came out of that balloon when it popped. And the dudes recovering it in contact with it .

In hindsight, in the context of millions perishing or suffering due to war, starvation,, or being exposed to elements they never new existed, perhaps worthy to examine how we could peacefully coexist🙏
If they actually got nothing too hide, then it's kinda bizarre that their whole government is over reacting over losing a single balloon. The missile was probably more expensive.
Agreed
Mr Clinton news network if you're going to lie for demon 🐀rats at least dont start with the Studdar during the lie.
Whose reaction is hysterical? If american ballon is shot down, What's possible reaction? But you will see it soon. American spy airplane, spy satellite could be shot down now.
In my point of view, the whole event of US shooting down a Chinese balloon has created a precedent where it's justified to blast down aircrafts from another country, thus making it an excuse readily to be used by Chinese gov when similar situations happen in the future.
The red dragon is testing the waters and it's a china town in every major city if they ever invade the USA they will have help like the Patriots had help when the redcoats invaded America
If it was accidental, why didn’t China call us and tell us it went off course, instead of saying nothing till they were caught?
Why would they?
@@michaelmorningstar8645 because it’s our airspace? And if it is a “weather ballon” that went off course that would be the normal reaction.
China lowered the altitude of the balloon and let a passenger see it. I think that’s the way china notified.
And why did it fly in a pattern that took it over multiple military bases?
@@JonathanWaterbury No. You are just really ignorant and trying to pretend Biden did something wrong. Typical racist loser BS.
Ok qt this point they're clearly looking to see where they are going to come in from first then have other states to come in from they see how long it takes them to take it and find out they're in watching us
who's the news lady at the start?
"Hey neighbour, I've lost something. If it shows up near to your property please contact me so we can figure this out" - things could have been so easy
Unless it was intentional and they didn’t want to say anything unless they got caught.
Exactly. What I was thinking. Why weren't they proactive and communicating.
See that would work!….if there wasn’t MULTIPLE DIFFERENT CASES WITHIN THE SPAN OF A YEAR! This was a completely reasonable reaction, and it will at least send a message to keep a better grip on their things if it was an accident.
CNN has now coined this a "Balloon Scandal". Talk about hyping things up. A BALLOON SCANDAL! OMG, run.
Actually, the latest news is China force ever shoot one foreign balloon two years ago. I guess China and US gov know the spy balloon each other. unfortunately, this time the balloon was known by US media

....and even if it was a weather balloon, it had to be shot down immediately. A balloon of unknown construction, which can develop a leak at any time, would you like to sit in an aircraft at 35.000 ft at night, and a balloon has just descended down in front of it?
Scandal is a good word. Nothing about this whole balloon thing makes any sense.
