it's so fascinating listening to Tara Strong in early roles because her voice was originally innocent and chipper, but then it became low pitched and mature sounding.
Jim Cummings looks like a rock star IRL. Not kidding. When I met him at a convention many years ago he kept drumsticks with him at all times and yes he sings. Seriously if you didn’t know what he looked like and saw him you would think he was in a rock band
rumor has it that the new Ghostbusters film was meant to be like this show,where the original busters pass the mantel to a similalry diverse crew. it would have been awesome.
I wish it had been, would have been much better
The ghosts are smarter and more powerful so new upgrades and looks for the equipment are critical.
The ghostbusters UA-cam channel has been uploading episodes of both series on a weekly schedule since the start of the year
I grew up watching the real ghostbusters, and when this came out I was 8, and I thought I wouldn't like it. I ended up loving it as much as the older cartoons. I wish this could get a revival, or just adapt the comics where like you mentioned there is a crossover. The show has problems, but then again the 90's didnt pay attention to explanation.
While I'm disappointed that Extreme Ghostbusters hasn't received a DVD release in the U.S., fortunately the series is available on Hulu, so that's the next best thing.
i like to know why too the other ghostbusters series got complete series dvd releases why not this one jet ?

It's on Hulu as we speak in its entirety. So nice to get back to it. Aged surprisingly well.
I think this show deserves more credit.
I would love to see a more darker, and kinda scarier Ghostbusters movie. I hope that's what the 2020 sequel is gonna be like.
Apparently the main reason they had Garrett in a wheelchair was because otherwise he was just a mouthy jock and not interesting enough - I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing
SuperSongbird21 originally Garrett would've been a Female character. Roland as well. They ended up being guys in the end.

I consider Garett more of the peter vankman of the team and it’s not because he said the same line that venkman did in the first movie

Hopefully if the new Ghostbusters movie does well maybe whoever owns the rights can work a deal with Sony to release a complete series. If not then well time to look on iOffer for bootlegs
My favorite episode was Heart of Darkness when Edward Kirillian, Egon's former colleague at college planned to enslave the ghosts.

I must disagree I prefer Extreme Ghostbusters, I used to like this show a lot as a kid.
Fun act about Rob: He hosts annual MLP cosplay parties but will always demand the condition that no one else but him can be Sweetie Belle.
You would think the mayor would remember Stay Puft. Unless that was just in the 1984 live action movie. Been a while since I've watched the cartoons.

That we know a stone al geguy like you be, a loy of cartoons in the 80's are eitger choppy or literally stock there the late 90s i grew up with literally has the best memorable and datk grounded environmet show and more smooth animation.

I remember watching this every once in awhile either before or after school (can't really remember which altho' I DO remember watching Histeria! before school most of the time).

Did the original voice actor for Peter Vekeman died after original series?
No, Bill Murray filed legal measures to keep Lorenzo Music from playing Venkman any more. Sadly, Lorenzo died in 2001, meaning there's no chance of getting the complete voice cast back together.

@@teddybeer6206 it's more like Murray complained that he didn't want his character associated with Garfield, why Lorenzo music got replaced by Dave Coulier by season three.

Another problem the show had was having a shit schedule. The entire 40 episodes aired between September and December 1997. It should've been stretched out further. Also because of the network it was on (or block idk) it apparently aired weekdays during school hours. So the network it aired on was the reason for it's downfall. Which is a shame because I've started watching it and I've been liking it.
