I have been pushing snow for 24 years and every gas station is different and every lot has its challenges! Be confident and know your surroundings, you will be fine
I’m in my upper 60s and did snow removal in the late 80s to mid 90s. I had several opportunities to do gas stations and my insurance agent, a friend at the time, told me stay away from them! I noticed you pushed a pile right into a storm water drain. That will create a dam where run off from melting snow will be blocked. If left clear there won’t be any blockages to the drain area.
Great job, I stopped doing gas stations a long time ago, with everyone coming in and out it was like plowing inside a pinball machine. Any new job I get it takes awhile to figure out which way works best no matter who is plowing, if you like them and do well at gas stations, that's all that matters.
I came here to say the same thing. I had 4 gas station accounts in eastern part of MN. Man oh man, it’s was a never ending of pin ball machine effect. 😂
You out plowing snow i have been doing snow removal since I was 14 years old we cleaned and hauled snow away and i loaded the trucks the dump trucks were areas cause we had a sand and gravel company so had the equipment to remove snow and other items if in the way

Was definitely a difficult storm down by us. 8 inches overall in the NE part of town. Ended up snowing almost nonstop for the entire day. Annoying when doing all residentials and people get restless. Suprised they don't require a rubber or UHMW edge for the gas stations. Around here they typically do. Saw that you had the 1025R listed on Facebook. Sad that it didn't end up working out for you, but that's part of the business, right? Taking risks! Hopefully you make your money back on it for the most part. Glad to see a video from you! Hope you and the family have a great Christmas and Happy New Year.
I think you did a great job at the gas station! Just for future notice, Hopefully you wont fall out of truck again but if you do, You should take a couple of Advil or something right away before the pain kicks in. Try not to wait on it. The sooner you take them the faster they will work!
zack brother im so happy to see your big steps into commercial! I finally bought a plow this season 8ft v blade, any advice?? i call it the blaze500....
@wizdom705 man, I love the V plows they can pretty much do anything. I'm glad to hear you bought one. Push forward as much as possible, only backdrag where you need to. That's one of the best plowing tips I ever received.
@ Thankyou So much I’m super happy and excited! We actually have around 6IN falling rn so I’ll be out all night :) Merry Christmas to you and your family!
2:43 don’t want to bury catch basins. Looks good though. Plowing a business open to the public is never easy. Chances are, you’ll plow a spot and they’ll still park where you didn’t plow yet.
@@bladezllcno problem man. Probably going out tonight. Loader with a push box, not much truck plowing anymore. We got for an inch. We also get 6 plus feet of snow in a couple days here and there. Lake effect!!!
Just an observation for this type of job.It seems it would make more sense and safer to avoid or limit the amount of forward and reverse movement especially in a gas station. The risk of accidentally hitting a vehicle coming or going would seem much lower if you were plowing straight through with blade angle to whatever side as you’re moving forward.Anyway be safe and enjoy your holidays.
@@bladezllc Luckily no. I'm sure if I was going fast enough they would have popped off like bottle caps. Can't see them when there's a few inches of snow on the ground. They eventually started putting out cones to mark them at least.

@TheRadioactiveHeat you got more than us for sure. More snow is coming next week, supposedly. yeah, the reason the 1025r is for sale is because we need something bigger. It's a great tractor to start with and learn with. No regrets! We still love it and use it. Our gas stations don't require a rubber or polly edge. Plows do create sparks.
@bladezllc let's hope so lol. Low 40s and rain down here end of this week. Yuck. So much for snowmobiling and snowboarding this year lol. Got ice tires set on the dirt bike too. Wanted to go ride over in Winona a couple weekends ago when we got that ice storm. How big are you planning on going? 3 or 4 series?
@TheRadioactiveHeat i know it's looking bad for winter activities 😕 well I'm not sure yet on the tractor. We may be moving out to the country here this next year, and I want to do a little farming. What do you think?
@bladezllc nice! Country life is the way to go in my opinion. Depends on how big you're wanting to go? If you're going to be doing lots of acres of tillage you'd probably want a gear drive tractor with shuttle shift. If you'll be doing more smaller food plot type stuff then hydro would be just fine. Could also always get an older bigger tractor for tillage and grueling stuff while having a newer compact for loader work and other smaller tasks. Guess it really depends on how much land you're looking at, how many hills and trees there are, etc
@@TheRadioactiveHeat that's what I was thinking probably wont be any more than 15 acres tillable which is relatively small. compact tractors are just so handy to have. you can almost buy a 5 series deer for what you can buy a 4 series for. I'm going to need a loader regardless.
