I find it kinda funny that the Wendigo is of course haunting the endless abyss...while also haunting a toilet. Like, the abyss is understandable, but what did the toilet do to deserve getting haunted.
contracting an otherworldy entity for an easy piping system connected to an infinite underworld, that dispatches any residue that enters a toilet to that location. i`d say it`s pretty neat.
I like all of these ideas here.Especially combining them. The people who built the base forgot the septic tank and decided to just use otherworldly methods to take care of it, and hired a known killer cryptid to guard the ways and manage the pipes.
honestly the faulty terrain gen really, really works for this area, it's supposed to not make any sense so having an occasional jpeg-thin wall or literal holes in the map makes the area even better and weirder
My first time encountering this was wild. I thought I knew a lot about the game at that point, but I wasn't ready for this. Here's how it happened. I didn't plan ahead and ended up getting really hungry (I was still new to actually playing the game, but I had been watching a lot of content already at that point). Too hungry to sleep, I push through with my duties while falling over every 10 seconds due to hunger. While waiting for food to arrive and tripping over myself, I accidentally hit the ragdoll button next to the servers (kept confusing it for the zoom in button, thank you Optifine), clipped through one of them, and just like that, I was brought to this nightmare. I froze for about a minute in actual fear. Still tripping from hunger, I stumbled aimlessly through this, knowing that it was definitely a backrooms reference. I didn't know what to expect or how to get out. I encountered the wendigo, which, if it wasn't for this channel, I wouldn't have known he was friendly (if not still a bit terrifying, especially in this darkness). Finally, after spending at least 10 minutes walking, I exited the game and looked it up. At the time, there were no videos on it, and only one mention of it on reddit. Now, there's this video, which will help the next generation of Voices of the Void players. By the way, I've been loving your videos. This game is amazing and definitely deserves more attention. Your videos are very informative and also very fun, and I look forward to every time you upload.
Same thing happened to me, I was hungry and walked outside, and found a strange egg but the I ragdolled, hit my head on the railing and poof! Into the concrete halls
(VotV spoilers, be warned) I find it really funny how all of the actually really scary entities in the game, like the antibreather, the wendigo, Wolfpack, etc, are all basically harmless lol. Like they never go out of their way to harm the player or anything like that. But then the cute alien cats in space are the ones that actually go down and try to actively harm the player lol
The gigantic pyramid spider monster is actively sending you messages and destroying threats to help you, but the little cat ladies just like trolling you cuz it's funny
Aspect ratio or not, that was a great capture of the toilet demon. For the grass cr0nch, I'm wondering if this backroom labyrinth is below the terrain, maybe nearby enough that an entity detects you and is trying to find you?
my hypothesis is that the game plays a distant/nearby grass crunching sound as a scripted spook, it isn't caused by any entity but is rather a global event that can happen anywhere! given the out of date node graph message it appeared to actually load a brand new level, so i don't think there's any grass nearby, and that's why i came to this conclusion.
I love your editing style. To the point and showing the good stuff. I cant play scary games myself so I always enjoy when content creators showcase cool things in games like this.
every time i heard a grass crunch sound, i spotted the toilet fucker in the corner of my eye, so i think it's just 1 event at different distances or behind a wall
I remember the first time I got here. It was the middle of the night, and I spotted the anti breather scampering about, so I hightail out on my ATV (I didn’t know the anti breather was harmless). Eventually I end up driving straight into a small ravine and land upside down. Everything went dark and I woke up in the labyrinth. One of the most memorable moments I’ve had in any game recently
wow, i already knew pretty much everything about the backrooms, but i had no idea an actual entity appears there! also, this might be the best footage we have of the wendigo model, out of all the videos showing toilet at 3:33am and that one video where it spawned on top of the base
I only ever got in the labyrinth once after falling out of the burger dream. Have never been able to get into it again ever since, and I have *tried* significantly. Glad to know there's a consistent way to get into it... in 0.5.2. Looks like the teleport bind is no longer in 0.6. Edit: It turns out I was wrong! The reason why numpad . was never working for me was because I turned on mouse keys many months ago and never turned them off! So we're fine! As long as nobody... teleports any bread!
I first got into Backrooms while driving along the river on my ATV hoping to find something interesting. Eventually, I ended up at the edge of map and found a suspicious concrete tube below the water. When I got underwater it appeared that the tube was sealed off with metal bars. I thought I could somehow open it with my hammer and tried to break it so I could get in (because I was certain that this tube contained some secrets for some reason).) But after 2 minutes of trying I turned 180 degrees to the back and swimmed away, and then immediately before I even could leave the tube I got teleported in some dark place. I was frightened at first, but then I realized that maybe I hit a random trigger to enter that tube and I finally got behind those bars. After minutes of wandering around those empty rooms I got stuck in an impossible to leave labyrinth. It was so funny to realize that I just bugged out in the water and this tube was just a decoration 😂
The music sounds really good to add :) I'd recommend it in more boring areas, well, not boring, but visually repetitive ;D But i'd say keep more threatening areas clear since it'd be silly to hear approaching foot steps with funky tunes heh Im glad you did an ep on this area, was always curious if it had an end or if you could only fall out off it, hopefully there'll be an ending in a future update :D

You got here intentionally, I got here when I microwaved the Argemia plush and 30 arirals tried to drown me in the emergency shower. We are not the same.
I randomly got in here from a weird glitch where I grabbed a ladder shortly before breaking my legs during a fall into the basement, causing the W and S keys to ascend/descend me incredibly fast without being on the ladder. This quickly caused me to clip into the ceiling and into the maze.

@@soft_gremlin1845 good to know also i just got the red meteor signal and currently i don't think theres any footage on the internet of it (even the wiki) i now have it and was wondering if you wanted it for a video
theres also some undocumented stuff such as an email you get after playing the audio and other small things as well idk if you use discord but this would be the best way to share these thing
I know a lot of people may asked this already but, how can you get the sandbox mode or chests in your gameplay? I saw some other comments say you have to reach day 31 on story mode but hell im already giving up on day 7, maybe a tutorial on how to survive to day 31?
the best advice i have is to spend the first day grinding out signals as fast as possible, then to always stay on top of the satellites to keep download speeds up. That way you always have a buffer of signals ready to send off so that you can pack up the daily task’s signals as soon as you get it, then go and get the hashcodes to send off the daily task before mid day. Also, you can use the signal copying mechanic to turn one download into all four levels of signal by processing the copies.
I would like to make a suggestion: Please don't make text take up the entire screen. Especially if you are watching this on a big screen, it becomes pretty hard to read, as your eyes have to dart across the entire screen constantly.
I have thought about this actually with my last couple of videos. I'm trying to hit a sweet spot where the text isn't illegibly tiny on a phone screen, but also not too big for this exact issue. I appreciate the feedback, I'm gonna be experimenting with text more!
joel says the update is supposed to happen this month!!! I'm really really excited!!! do you have any ideas or theories of what might be in the next update?
So from what I know, there is a lot of model changes, as well as event additions. One key fact is that lore will be substantial in this update, so the background of the player character plus all sorts of other info to find around the world!

@@soft_gremlin1845 good to know also i just got the red meteor signal and currently i don't think theres any footage on the internet of it (even the wiki) i now have it and was wondering if you wanted it for a video
theres also some undocumented stuff such as an email you get after playing the audio and other small things as well idk if you use discord but this would be the best way to share these thing
wolfgang is scary
well, the game already had backrooms style in its tutorial.
I just got there because of the barrels
I know a lot of people may asked this already but, how can you get the sandbox mode or chests in your gameplay? I saw some other comments say you have to reach day 31 on story mode but hell im already giving up on day 7, maybe a tutorial on how to survive to day 31?
the best advice i have is to spend the first day grinding out signals as fast as possible, then to always stay on top of the satellites to keep download speeds up. That way you always have a buffer of signals ready to send off so that you can pack up the daily task’s signals as soon as you get it, then go and get the hashcodes to send off the daily task before mid day. Also, you can use the signal copying mechanic to turn one download into all four levels of signal by processing the copies.
i got sent here because i went to the side of one of the transformer buildings and i thought i got fucking abducted or something
got this on day 2
my lantern had full fuil is it maybe because i have a crappy laptop probably
Nice finds
Tbh I wouldn’t mind some music in your future video, bring a good vibe to them!
I like it. the backrooms in votv
Hoping to see more alien signals aswell
I would like to make a suggestion: Please don't make text take up the entire screen. Especially if you are watching this on a big screen, it becomes pretty hard to read, as your eyes have to dart across the entire screen constantly.
I have thought about this actually with my last couple of videos. I'm trying to hit a sweet spot where the text isn't illegibly tiny on a phone screen, but also not too big for this exact issue. I appreciate the feedback, I'm gonna be experimenting with text more!
@@soft_gremlin1845 Maybe take some inspiration from YouYube subtitles or movie subtitles.
runescape music
I could handle it
By all means, then.

joel says the update is supposed to happen this month!!! I'm really really excited!!! do you have any ideas or theories of what might be in the next update?
So from what I know, there is a lot of model changes, as well as event additions. One key fact is that lore will be substantial in this update, so the background of the player character plus all sorts of other info to find around the world!
game isn't in beta, it's just a demo, so even earlier
