i honestly get a little sad when the pyramid dude leaves, cuz he doesnt kill you and he removes the light ball things, so hes a good dude.
I kinda wish he deploys a little friend that's a tinier version of the pyramid, and prolly acts like Kerfus but with a small metroid-sounding squeal when you pet it
Pyramid belongs to the rozital group of aliens, the Soltomia at the bottom of the pit is another one of the members.

The bad sun event is genuinely freaky because it feels like the game itself is censoring the sun or whatever the hell it is to prevent you, the player, from getting hurt or going insane for even knowing what it looks like, like it’s forbidden knowledge everyone is better off not knowing. Love it

Breaking the illusion a lil bit but unfortunately nothing unique happens to the actual sun for anyone wondering. You can get the camera to certain angles where you can still view the sun and it's unchanged.
Bonus info about number 4 (The Gears). It's most likely a reference to an event that can also happen in a game called Vintage Story, where huge gears appear impossibly far in the distance during a Temporal Storm. They look almost identical.

I played Vintage Story for the first time a couple months ago and never thought of that. I was more focused on the gigantic creature you can see if you have your render distance cranked up.
Nah, it's a reference to kinda old story from russian imageboard where some dude keeps seeing dreams about giant spinning gears, these dreams keep appearing untill he starts hearing those gears in a real life, can't remember exactly the details but it's a basic gist of it

Meteor event happens literally the 1st night after arriving at the base, it's a story mode event. Problem is you likely sleep through it or it rains that night, since you are most likely trying to get signals with the initial, subpar equipment.

The “ Zero Gravity “ Event is being caused by an ariral ship, one of the only alien species you can actually interact with directly.
The bad sun has to be a reference to when day breaks, where when making contact with any form of solar light, you will be transformed and melted into an abomination
So basically the game exists in the SCP universe
The moment the Arirals were watching the pyramid guy leave but accidentally turn thenselves visible only to quickly turn it back on. 😂
i love how they made kurfuses ai stupid but when it comes to the entities they are smart enough to not get stuck on every little thing
fun fact about the zero gravity event: there used to be an order that events would occur in (back in 0.3, may still be present) and while the zero gravity was (iirc) the 8th event, the 11th featured the same ship, fully visible, warping in right in front of the base with a loud noise, running a sort of "scan" of the surrounding area, and then rapidly accelerating to the sky and disappearing with a sonic boom.
you can find the same ship but crashed in one of the versions with chocolate and other things near it, not sure which version or where it is but I've found it before.

you can look at the sun event using a fully upgraded camera, though nothing changes with it just being a impossibly bright light. only effect on the sun is the black censor bar part
fossil hound are indeed entirely random though but still a fun reference to the dev's past games
I think the Redacted Sun event is a nod or reference to the version of SCP-001: When Day Breaks. The way the sun light damages and kills you is like how the light from the sun will change all living organisms into immortal a flesh mass.
Sorry if I got some of the versions wrong, I edited this video way past since I've last played this game so I forgot when some of the stuff was added!

15:43 deer skull summons skinwalker/wendigo, obelisk is connected to "yellow wisps" event or big pyramid (I guess you doesn't saw any yellow wisps, they spawns after obelisk fell. after that you need survive until pyramid signal)
I DON'T KNOW LORE VERY WELL, SOMETHING HERE IS NOT TRUE
don't want go deep in lore, but pyramid is rozital. rozitals are alien race. they uses pink crystals (like in 5:52) called "life crystals" and space metal(all rozitals are robots, but their "brains" in crystals). life crystals and rozitals are part of MrDrNose universe, so in other games you can find more about them. so um in VotV you can find pink wisps, they are energy of life crystals, but yellow is evil energy, broken. so pyramid is guy, who's job is clean Earth from this yellow enegry. yellow wisps can kill player and other creatures.
also if you get level 3 of 5:52 you will trigger pink beam event, and you can find near Uniform funny rozital dude, he is "sleepy", but after pink beam he will "awake" after you will be close to him (you can dig up human skull after he disappears)

I'm probably nowhere near the first person to mention it, and probably don't NEED to, but #8, Bad Sun, is actually a reference to an SCP-001 proposal, "When Day Breaks"

I imagine the Big Pyramid is like a battle mech piloted by the aliens that sent it, and that's why it has a signal you can find before it arrives.

Meteor shower was one of the first events I got, which was pretty lucky. But I was upset at the amount of unlethal events I was getting
The gears easter egg reminds me of Unlimited Blade Works from the Fate franchise.
idk if it was changed between release of this video and my gameplay, but now meteor showers are almost guaranteed on 2nd night

Something funny happened to me on two previous saves, one which is my newest save, the meteor shower event happened, during the first night.
0:30 It actually always happens on the first night (Or second night I guess).
Now I'm not actually sure it can happens at any other times but I do know that tho.

I watched this and finally got the game... my first day I woke up to Gears and my second I died to bad sun while trying to find a broken satelite
I am now finding out cause I happened to start playing on the 24th, and had no idea Bad Sun ALWAYS happens on the 24th. lol.

Meteor showers spawn on every new save on the first nights
I got the meteor shower on night 1 . I remember it was the very beginning because I didn’t want to sleep through the event and go outside so I was panicking to find the ‘wake up’ button, lmao. I thought it was scripted to ease you into the nightly atmosphere and also the fact that the sky is alive amd eventful.
i think i managed to get a meteor shower on the 2nd day when i first played lmao
When I activated Maxwell and Argemwell I found them incredibly fast. Literally the first server I had to go fix and the first Transformer I had to reset after activating them is where they were at :)
this is the reason why i dont even bother to use the atv it has too many trees in the forest so i bash into everything, so if i need to go somewhere i just sprint to it and its almost same speed as atv so
u didnt mention that actually theres a 2 notes variation, first note appears when your ariral rep isnt very high, theyll just prank you later in that scenario (as they wrote it), but if you were friendly with them, (fed them with shrimps and stuff) they will make the same path of brownies and the note will say something like "go to the tree house, there will be a little gift for you" or something like that, in that case they will gift you dr.kel plush
this video came out well before the rep system! (probably about 0.6 / 0.6.2 ish?) But I will most likely cover the rep system whenever I start working on part 3.
Unless there was a rep system in 0.6? I don't fully remember.

The meteor showers are rare? I honestly thought they were scripted for night 2 or something because that's when I typically see them lol
nahh I think I got that wrong man, a TON of people are saying it always happens on the second day! Once part 2 comes out I'm gonna correct some mistakes I made in part one.

there is a box full of level 3 signals buried somewhere
those don't work i tried before and they said that they were copies and needed fresh signals

Quit watching after #1. Meteor showers aren't rare at all, you ALWAYS get one on your 2nd day. Very noticeable if you play the first day more than once. The fact you didn't even know that much didn't make the rest of the video promising. Reading other comments it seem like this video is just error filled anyway. Play the game more than once at the very least before you try to catalog stuff. You wouldn't even know what is a random event or a scripted one.
