I don't have any settings on my Sony tv it's only tv speakers or external speakers with pcm auto passthrou modes . I want to use my subwoofer along with tv speakers@josephbacus9281
Wow great explanation....I'm looking the way to connect the active subwoofer directly to TV without external amplifier or speakers. I find my internal TV speakers have a good sounding, but lack of low frequency / deep bass. I manage to find a way to connect it directly with active subwoofer and find the way how to do so on YT and landed on your channel. After I watched your video, it seems You used the DVD/Bluray player to demonstration how the sound come out from both TV speakers and low frequency from the sub. My question is....If I watch some channels or listening music directly from TV, the sound still coming from both TV speakers and Sub? or all the sounds coming from the sub only?
@SimpleCafeSound I Connected My Subwoofer To My Trusty Old CRT TV,Which It Includes RCA Audio/Video Out (My CRT TV Only Has 1 RCA Audio Out).I Also Connected My Subwoofer To My Sony Bravia TV Using AUX Out,I Use AUX To AUX Splitter So That I Can Connect My Subwoofer & Regular Speakers At The Same Time.
Thank you. I have a question I have a wireless sub woofer and a sound bar. I can't figure out to get the wireless sound to come through the sub woofer and sound bar
Some powered sub-woofers may seem to have only stripped wire input connections because they may need to connect to receiver/amps with stripped wire speaker connectors. After all, stripped speaker wire are sold by the reel; RCA cords, not so much. When I saw your video, I had thought my Yamaha sub-woofer only had clips for stripped leads (in and out) because my Teac receiver only had stripped wire speaker output. I was surprised to find the Yamaha also had RCA input jacks as well so I could connect it directly to my tv via an RCA cord.

My TV has a single black RCA jack that says Subwoofer Output. Do I need a powered sub that has a single black input? Or can it have the red and white inputs and I just get a splitter for my cable to hook into both?
I’ve connected subwoofer to my tv but unfortunately I’ve lost the remote for my subwoofer and when I mute the tv with tv remote it doesn’t mute the audio from subwoofer speakers. Do you have any advice ?
Hi bro I have a question how about if instead of using aux and a aux splitter I did it with hdmi into a hdmi arc port on my tv , one end into the soundbar and one end into a hdmi to analog converter and into my sub will that work ? Please respond
Ok so i have a subwoofer with aux and an inbuilt amp which connects 2 speakers but 5he speakers don't work so if you could help me in a way where the subwoofer works but the normal sounds come from the tv
Trying to connect to a wireless active Polk DSB2 subwoofer to a different brand soundbar (Zvox). The only cord that is connected to the subwoofer is the power cord... it has no input or output jacks. My soundbar, ZVox AV155 does have pin plug output jack for it's intended subwoofer. Any ideas on how this could be make to work...??
What did you do? I only have 1 rca/lfe connection on this pass me down yamaha sub and am wondering the same since my mini amp uses a 3.5mm jack to send the audio out to a sub.
Hi, I have a china LED Android and connected it with Sony D-20 boofer with aux cable but sound has very distorted but if I connected aux with my mobile didn't face this issue. Can you pls tell me the solution. Thanks
OK, So my TV has a headphone socket (3.5mm) and through the TV menu system I can switch the headphone socket to actually be a SUB out port (3.5mm). Which I have done. Now I have an Active Sub I want to connect to it. Do i use a 3.5mm phono out to a 3.5 phono cable to the sub or out to a twin 3.5mm phono's to the sub (i.e in red and black ports on sub)?
Bingo. For me , 3.5mm jack to tv (microphone outlet) other end to RCA of woofer. Then tv settings, change microphone signal to subwoofer. (Sony). I have tv speaker sound, and subwoofer

GREAT VIDEO explaining to perfection! You deserve an award 🥇

Since My TV's Audio Out Is Just Nothing,But Internal TV Speakers,I Used An HDMI Audio Extractor With ARC To Connect It To My Powered Subwoofer.
Freaking Awesome 👍👍 thank you. Very good and detailed video. I didn't even know it was possible to use Aux for bass and voice😁
Thanks for helping me It really worked out😊

Thank ya sirr
Some powered sub-woofers have output jacks/clips for connecting stereo speakers. Wouldn't that resolve the headphone jack problem?
Good observation. Yeah I bet it would for stereo speakers. But not for powered speakers unless the sub has REC OUT.
yep like the mackie crx-8s-10s sboofers
I have one
builtin crossover and everything, even gives bluetooth
When I plug in with aux mine just make a humming nose
Same Problem When I Dont Connect It Properly
That Problem Happens When My Set Top Box Digital Audio Output Is Set To Dolby Audio or When I Also Don't Connect The AUX Cable Properly
Same as mine
My tv send audio to my soundbar via arc/eArc. Can this help me split the audio from my tv simultaneously to my soundbar and a powered sub?
3:50 sharp tv has a mode called "audio out" which if i conject earphones the tv still has sound, i recommend you buy a sharp tv
is it possible to connect it to built in speakers?

Android tv or Google tv? Some audio options which are in android tv doesn't show in Google tv

what do you have? RCA?

So the aux splitter doesn't do it's justice to restore the tv sound
