  • This video shows you two different ways to calculate your weight of Earth; (1) using Newton's Second Law of Motion and (2) using Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation.
    Newton's second law states that the force is equal to the mass times the acceleration. Newton's law of universal gravitation is know as an inverse square law. The force of attraction between two objects with mass is directly proportional to the mass of the objects and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between the two objects.

    What's your weight difference at noon versus midnight? (Factor in the sun's pull & changing distance from the sun)

      @@stepbystepscience Sun's force of gravity at your noon minus same at your midnight about 0.00074 kg, ( 0.03 ounces) ?

    If you can reply asap that’d be great. How do you find distance with the mass of 1 object and the force of attraction ?

    I really hope you have videos for Coulomb's law and electric fields. Maybe even magnetic fields. I am sure if you explain it I will actually understand them lol

      I have videos for all of those topics, just search Step by Step Science Coulombs Law, for example.
      And great that you find the videos so helpful, thanks for the comment.

    How are you converting to Newtons when kilograms and m/s are different units?

    • @brenoj.batista1594
      @brenoj.batista1594 4 роки тому

      You need to convert this different units to kg•m/s before transform it at newtons

  • @partywolf4449

    escuse me sire what if the its in grams not kg

    • @stepbystepscience
      @stepbystepscience  3 роки тому +2

      Then you must convert to kg first, before putting the values into the equation.

    You are very very wrong the weight and gravitation formula cannot be equal

    • @deepthink7794
      @deepthink7794 3 роки тому +1

      Why ..... weight is the force applied to an object.........it can be earth ..... ......so suppose 100n then it applies force on you by 100 n ........ so when we do universal law of gravitation , we are finding the force between the two objects ................... and that is weight
