- Issues: FP0814 (B) Whale water-pump keeps turning on & off, or makes a pitiful puppy-whine. You will need to repair it with a new valve & head assembly - it is a really easy job, and for once it won't break the bank! Replacement pump-head AK1318
Thanks for that. Replaced mine Sept '22 and it's just gone again out of warranty! Ordered a whole new pump before spotting your video. Anyway, fitted the new one which fixed the pulsing so will strip the old one and see what it's like inside and hopefully keep it in the moho as a spare once cleaned up.
Thank you for your kind comments - Yes, the motors are usually OK but the heads go and there is very little maintenance beyond a new head. Hope nothing gets in the way of MoHo travels.
Out of interest what is the warranty? Our previous one before this pump lasted from the time the van was built in 2007 to 2022! And this one has just failed (I think it's actually been on the way out a while...) and was installed Jan 2022. They don't make em like they used to!
Great video paul. This really helped me out. 👍👍👍
Really glad it helped. Thanks for watching
great video Paul got exactly the same problem so will be fixing it very soon. Thank you. 👍👍👍
Excellent - as with all these jobs we'd rather be enjoying the holiday, but there's good satisfaction in having the issues sorted. It is a straightforward job due to the service pack.
@@pcollingridge Excellent just coming back down from an adventure in Scotland will be ordering one in the next few days before my next trip. thanks again you have saved me a lot of trouble and expense 👍👍
Excellent video Paul. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it - it is one of those annoying jobs that all too many hand over to the professionals when it is actually not hard. Have a great time in the van this year!
Really good video. Thank you.
Don’t you just wish at times you had a third hand for the camera
What I don’t like about the pump is the noise, I have the same one as you have, so have you used it yet since you changed it and has the intermittent pump run stopped now ?
Thanks again
Pump now behaves perfectly - still a bit noisy but more efficient so runs for less time. I taught tree surgeons for nearly 40 years so my hearing now eliminates mechanical noise. Yes, a tripod would be excellent but there's no room; maybe, one day, with a thousand subscribers and 10 times the number of videos I might be able to buy a Gorilla-pod. Thanks for watching. It's an easy job, don't be afraid of it
@@pcollingridge hi and thank you for the reply.
I took mine out this evening and have stripped it and cleaned it then put it back together, nothing broken in mine just quite a bit dirty, tomorrow I will out it back in the van and hope that it’s quieter.
It’s funny how our brains can just block out certain sounds.
Hope you get them subs you are after.
Thanks, Steve - I was only joking about the subscribers.... TBH I do this because although I've been caravanning since the mid 60's I still get nervous before every repair, convinced I'll mess it up forever! Our main channel has almost no subscribers at all and will never earn us a penny, but I do it for the same reason.... to help folk out who have less confidence (The Tandem Channel: ua-cam.com/video/OXVsk0lX0Vg/v-deo.html ) - I suppose that's 44 years of being a teacher coming through! Hope your pump is perfectly sound - Paul
Push grey collar Toward unit to release pipe, thanks!!!(
Different pressure-fittings work in different ways - this is the most common fitting, but I cannot guarantee it will work with every installation. Thanks for watching

I don't really understand what this means!
