    Thank you for having a Physiotherapist in your video! I am a PT / former dancer in America who teaches ballet, and I use many of these exercises in my classes. It's so great to see more studios and teachers collaborating with medical professionals. I appreciate your videos as a dance teacher. I've see many of your tips in my classes. :)

    For your next Q&A, can you answer this question:
    How can you tell if your muscles are as warm as they need to be before class?

    Dancers are a trip! It amazes me how we constantly devise new training and strengthening and stretching methods. The training methods have come such a long way. Did Fonteyn and Nureyev do this stuff? Dancer's back in their day were hardly allowed any exercise that weren't strictly ballet.

    Interesting! I've never thought to usw a Thera-band for normal barre work. I guess I need to get an longer one to try these! Please make a video on how to breathe while dancing. I tend to hold my breath. Even when I do remember to breathe, I don't think I do it in a way that is helping me. I wonder if anyone else has this problem?

      Make it just a quick tip. No need for a full length. That would be better spent on chasse coupe jete video! Like in a menage for guys, us ladies typically don't do it as a menage so just include the regular. Tombe coupe jete, or chasse. You know what I'm taking about right? The coupe turn and the grand jete repeated. Please reply! Thank you soooo much!

    I love how your face expression is changing when you are doing an exercise yourself... So into it and I can see or guess how you looked in a performance or your Training before...

    Hello Claudia
    Do you prefer the red theraband or the blue one? I know that the red one is longer but is it stronger too? After watching this video I am really motivated to work with a theraband ❤️💙 I also want to improve my feet with it. Kisses from Germany 💘

    Hey Claudia, This is Betti from Riverside, California. I am 24 and I started dancing about five years ago and just recently started pointe work with my ballet mistress. As an adult beginning pointe work can you offer some strengthening tips that will help me increase my stability and tenacity with these shoes? ....Love and appreciate your videos very much.

    What type of shoes are you wearing? My ballet teacher wears the same type of shoe, and I'm just curious as to why you don't wear normal ballet shoes. Thanks!

    • @meganl664
      @meganl664 7 років тому

      Many dance teachers wear these shoes because they allow them to articulate the foot and demonstrate exercises (since there is no hard sole in the arch) but they also give enough support to their feet so they don't die after teaching so many classes. It can be very tiring to be walking around a classroom correcting students in flat ballet slippers all day.

    I love Thera band exercises! Would you recommend doing this as part of a performance warmup in addition to the exercises you do in that video in order to help alignment/balance? Or would you keep these exercises strictly in practice?

    • @lojainnasr3574
      @lojainnasr3574 7 років тому +1

      I'm not Claudia but.. here is my tip XD: Not really, before a performance is not the time to do a stretching exercise. That will simply tire your muscles. You should do her performance warm up barre instead! Stretching and warming up is the way to go! As hours before your performance pride yourself in thinking you are already strong enough to well.. do it! Instead save that for the day after the final performance, so you can be sure to do even better next time! Hope this helps lol.
