Oh man that joke at 2:13 brought back some memories. At my first, and only, Yu-gi-oh tournament I can remember sitting and waiting for minutes, not for the guy to think, to actually conduct a single turn. At the time I had no idea what an xyz monster was (or how to pronounce it) all I knew was that 5 minutes had passed, I had cut this man's deck about 8 times and somehow I lost my entire hand and my god damn mind.
iirc Trishula basically annihilated most of the world as a way to assert dominance between her, Brionac, and Gungnir. The Sacred Spirit of the Ice Barrier, a spiritual form of Prior of the Ice Barrier, came in and sealed the three dragons into statues, although the damage had already been done.
You can see evidence of this in Void Trap Hole, which shows the Ice Barrier dragons being sealed away, and then in Infestation Pandemic, where it shows the dragons as statues before the Lswarm virus breaks the seal and infects the dragons (along with others, because where the dragons got sealed served as both a monument and a graveyard)
And also, a bit late, but the Nekroz didn't exist until after the Evilswarm/Constellar war had reached its peak with the summoning of Sophia, which resulted in the fall of the Gishki & the Gusto (technically the Gishki lost the war way earlier, since they lost to the Lswarm virus).
I just realised flamvell commando is just the archer but in the future, his hair is longer, and he went from a bow to a gun. It even has the fried onion swirl on the barrel
Here's to Flamvell Guard, rejected by most other Flamvells due to the extra 0 on its DEF, but finding its place in better decks. Also, I like how you say flamwell and it would be expected with "lewel" and "wersatility" appearing earlier.
buying better cards is how i ended up with most of the other decks on this list. i mean if he goes after Darklord, Vylon, Morphtronics, Guardians and Volcanics? he pretty much got all my old decks

Closest thing are the Immortal Cards from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duslists of the Roses/Shin Duel Monsters II. They're about 11 cards total that all have in-game counterparts except for one (Carat Idol). They were pretty damn effective in the game itself due to having what effectively translates to a Field Spell version of Crush Card Virus you could use any time any of them died, that not only were they immune to, but also got a +500 ATK/DEF boost from. Also a movement bonus, but that doesn't really translate into regular YGO mechanics all that well. Always made me sad that their in-game versions were nothing like their card game versions. I've made fan cards for them once or twice, and I'm working on a version compatible with YGOpro at the moment if you're interested. I think most of these comments don't get which archetypes are worthless and which ones are just okay, or mediocre. Gustos, Lavals, Bujins, and Noble Knights aren't worthless.
People think Bujins are worthless? A deck that was meta at one point? That can still flood the board and shit out Rank 4s like they're going out of style? People are dumb.
Hong Khuu The design is still playable, thats the point. It doesn't have to be meta to be worthless. All of these legacy of the worthless decks are virtually unplayable because of the lack of synergy.

This may sound crazy but I feel like the concept of Neo-Flamevell burning away at your opponent's graveyard could be expanded by some card, perhaps a feel spell, perhaps a permanent spell card, that banished monsters from your opponent's graveyard depending on the amount of Fire and/or Pyro monsters on your field, playing into the "Rekindling" aspect of Flamvell, but before rekindled monsters get banished. As for the OG Flamvells... anything to boost consistency. Perhaps something playing woth the banished Flamvells?
Aw man i loved stumbling onto your channel a long time ago well getting back into the old yugioh vibe and love how you do the learning about crappy archetypes but i like to experiment with cards and such but nice too see more from you
I used to play Jurrac Flamvells. Basically just Jurracs with Flamvells Firedog and Magician and Rekindling. It made a lot of good plays. Too dependent on battle for effects, though. But the level 7 synchro was legit good. It destroyed the setup for graveyard decks and was an easily revived beater or 7 for step synchro plays.
I've seen a few people when this deck was still new sub theming Lightsworns (namely Lyla and Ryko paired with Needlebug's Nest) to get the Rekindling engine going and abuse Deity to the point that the opponent had nothing left in the Graveyard to recur. It wasn't consistent but I found it an interesting concept when I found out that Poun could hunt Lyla.
"this fucka summons aitsu alright, let that sink in, you hear that...that's the sound of tier one (muffled screaming in the background)", like this man's writing gets me everytime i don't think there's a single video i don't want to watch........well maybe except frogs but that's because i'm afraid of frogs and toads
*War of the Worthless* 1: Pick any archetype featured on Legacy of the Worthless. 2: Create a deck that contains three copies of ALL cards within that archetype, and NOTHING ELSE. (Yes, even if this would violate normal deckbuilding limits of 40-60 cards.) 3: Compete in a massive tourney - to the _death_! Anybody who wins with roids gets $500.
It occured to me as I watched this, that Infernoids are the Neo Flamvells incarnate. Not story-wise, but the fact that they eat up the opponent's grave like there's no tomorrow, during either player's turn, makes me realize that they did Neo Flamvell right this time around. Tons of graveyard setting up, tons of D.D. Crowing, and access to good Rekindling plays.
I loved running flamvells back in the day, It has really good synergy with fiend comedian and Ancient flamvell deity has a nice effect if only it were more splashable.
This is pretty nostalgic, I stopped playing YGO around the time these guy came out, hell my last deck had a few Flamvells in there, Firedog, Guardian, Baby, Archer and Rekindling IRC, just to pump out my Stardusts or Red Dragon Archfiends, and then go Super Saiyan with Majestics, Assault Modes and Shooting Star or Red Nova. Man am I a sucker for cool dragons.
Flamvells can be worked in with Link Monster spamming, but then again, this is 2 years old and Link Monsters didn't get started as of this point in time.
Trading cards burning on an open fire. Hideki Hayakawa nipping at your nose. 12:10 Also I don't understand why Shaddoll Hedgehog isn't a tuner. It almost makes me wonder if Shaddoll Hedgehog was originally gonna be a corrupt Quillbolt Hedgehog.
What if they had gone all in with Neo Flamvells banishing your opponent's graveyard? Say, Garuda banishes not during the End Phase but on summon, and up to two or three cards for each Flamvell monster you control (or alternatively, have in your graveyard); the Shaman banishes up to four cards at once on destroying a monster by battle.
I Loved this Series. I wonder what's Next. I would love to See him Create What if Archetypes, Using Themes effects and Mechanics and Creating balanced and non broken Archetypes.

Remember when the had a Quazar variant that somewhat was ok. Delta remembers. So does Pepperidge farm. But ya these guys where bad otherwise. Also that dpYGO tho at 2:48.
***** They never do :)
I'm pretty sure Allies of Justice would have had a Quasar variant if they had Rekindling.
This one broke my heart lol. I rocked the tf outta these back in the day
Was konami high when the made some of the early duel terminal archetypes?
hellraiser5671 considering how stressed most employees are i wouldnt doubt it
yes i was there when it happened it was a nightmare
no, they were simply thinking far more about stories than cards. I actually really like the duel terminal cards, they might not be very good but they are very fun for their lore. They are so much more fun that just generic filler cards.
VixXstazosJOB I'm sorry, I can't. Ally of Justice isn't good by any respect. Flamvell magician is only good because of his stats.
question how is flamveil magician the best tuner in the game?
At every flamvell card: you suck you are trash you shouldnt be here why are you so bad you should be gone.
At Flamvell guard: not you. You can stay.
Firedog has his uses, he doesn't suck, he a good boi
I love these videos, this guys humor is both loud and dry and I love it!
do dragon rulers they are so worthless that i can't even build a dragon ruler deck
ainsley swale Do you mean the dragon rulers, as in Tempest, Redox, Blaster, and Tidal.
***** Ah, I see
They're almost all banned, it would be pointless.
ikr
My brother did at its an otk deck
I can't help but notice like jokes in this video that became vastly widespread starting in 2019, 3 years later.
Those being the French reference, and THICC. I might have just been sheltered, but I do not recall those being things back in 2016. Maybe Rata really does meme things into existence.
Oh god, I used to run this as a speed-synchro deck for Shooting Star and it worked really well
UNTIL THEY LIMITED REKINDLING
I think most of these comments don't get which archetypes are worthless and which ones are just okay, or mediocre. Gustos, Lavals, Bujins, and Noble Knights aren't worthless.
People think Bujins are worthless? A deck that was meta at one point? That can still flood the board and shit out Rank 4s like they're going out of style?
People are dumb.
hellraiser5671 they're powercrept and are useless now. Just like flamvell
Except Flamvell was never good.
Hong Khuu The design is still playable, thats the point. It doesn't have to be meta to be worthless. All of these legacy of the worthless decks are virtually unplayable because of the lack of synergy.
And that's the part that makes them worthless. Not that they aren't playable now, but that they were never really playable in the first place.
I’m from the future of July 16 2019. Rekindling is now unlimited so fire fist players, you can now spam that card once again!
"Why is cold lasagna from yesterday better than hot lasagna?" Rank10 asking the REAL questions!
Run Neo Flamevell's as an anti-ABC deck
I often wonder what you have to google to find some of these images...
Number Hunter9 I think it's best to leave that to Rank10
7:55 the sound of tier 1
Thats vegetas scream in the abridged series making it to other videos lol
I never understood why Shadoll Hedgehog didn't remain a tuner if Falco did.
Harcion Gaming Better question, why do shaddolls have a tuner and no archetype synchro???
VixXstazosJOB Shaddoll Falco is a tuner because it was one before it got corrupted By the Shaddoll. Hedgehog didn't keep its tuner ability even though it was a tuner before it got corrupted
VixXstazosJOB Neo Flamvell Hedgehog... As said in the video
yo, where could i find what they all were before being infected?
Josh Mountain yugioh wiki
im telling you these legacy of the worthless keep getting funnier and funnier. worth watching. hope this keep going in quality
I come back to this vid every couple months just to hear Rata say
Flamvell
FUCKING
L o r e m a n
God I remember playing Flamvell Magician in my Synchro deck because there were like no level 4 tuners. Simpler days.
4:52 Horned White Beast is a level 3 Synchro Monster that might be used with a level one tuner and THAT card, but may be improbable.
does flamevell magician is gay?
It's a reference to an article popularized by the Game Grumps - "Does Bruno Mars is gay?"
Hilarity ensues due to the writer's absolute lack of English comprehension.
OnEiNsAnEmOtHeRfUcKa you got me.
Who was phone?
He's gonna pre dude!
TrisheramZZT I didn’t get the reference and I still died
Had the Fire Fist player finished their turn yet?
lol nope
Some say the Fire Fist player still hasn't ended their fucking turn
fire fists > the energizer bunny keeps going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going and going
Garett Blackburn they finally did, one year later.
Just finished
4:51 this art is way too cool for basically everything else on the card
2:13 "Will the Firefist player please be so kind as to finish their f***ing turn already!"
All the way in 2020 and I'm still laughing my ass off at the Fire Fist joke.
How did he knew I identify my self as a railcar?
2:02
*Off the banlist now, but not for long cause Fire Fists ONCE AGAIN are going to abuse it back on.*
Still @ 3 😎
I like coming back to this video just for the "will the fire fist player be so kind as to end their fucking turn" line
Do Guardians. A pure guardian deck needs eatos in the starting hand or they lose. That simple.
Oh man you're in for a treat in a few hours
RANK10YGO you missed geminis THEIR ARCHTYPE IS CRAP XD ROFL although they fit in everything else everywhere else ^^"
Shayu Kitsune Geminis aren't Archetypes.
Shayu Kitsune yeah, as another human said, they are not an archetype, but as I have recently read, a subtype.
And now we wait for the next set that will make Arcana Force tier 1
Little did Rata know, that Rekindling would actually end up returning to 3.
I mean, bringing back Neo Flamvells and making something out of them as far as tearing up the opponent's graveyard isn't a terrible idea. Who knew.
Now to paciently wait for the war of worthless, By the way men great video
*War of the Worthless*
1: Pick any archetype featured on Legacy of the Worthless.
2: Create a deck that contains three copies of ALL cards within that archetype, and NOTHING ELSE.
(Yes, even if this would violate normal deckbuilding limits of 40-60 cards.)
3: Compete in a massive tourney - to the _death_!
Anybody who wins with roids gets $500.
A genex deck would have 126 cards.
ShadeSlayer1911
Haha, holy shit. Those poor, poor bastards.
At least they won't be decking out any time soon.
Gives them mad stall power.
16:00 is the meme we have all been waiting for
Neo Flamvell Origin is the counter to Macro Cosmos we always needed
It occured to me as I watched this, that Infernoids are the Neo Flamvells incarnate. Not story-wise, but the fact that they eat up the opponent's grave like there's no tomorrow, during either player's turn, makes me realize that they did Neo Flamvell right this time around. Tons of graveyard setting up, tons of D.D. Crowing, and access to good Rekindling plays.
2:14
*Favorite scene.*
EXACTLY
Tfw you watch a video on a children's card game and there's a Napalm Death song
Damn you UA-cam for not notifying me sooner! Thanks Rata for the vids.
flamvel commando and deity look fucking awesome though
I can't wait to see when Spirits are eventually done.
I used to always forget flamvel guard was a part of the arktype. Used to think it was like how Keltic guardian isn't part of the guardian arktype
I loved running flamvells back in the day, It has really good synergy with fiend comedian and Ancient flamvell deity has a nice effect if only it were more splashable.
you should do a series that's basically the opposite of this one. that be pretty cool
Master Chief legacy of the worthy? You should do it, cuz he'll never do it
Too many worthy decks, he should do decks that are way under the radar.
You are all the reason why Rata has an immense Brandy addiction.
But what about when those decks inevitably fall out of fashoin due to Konami's incessant power creep, and become worthless themselves?
OnEiNsAnEmOtHeRfUcKa How is a deck worthless because it's not meta?
I’m surprised napalm death didn’t claim this video, you played the entirety of You Suffer!
you killed me at 7:25
Honhonhon
15:55 If it had that effect, imagine your opponent activating Desires and you quick synchro into it
This is pretty nostalgic, I stopped playing YGO around the time these guy came out, hell my last deck had a few Flamvells in there, Firedog, Guardian, Baby, Archer and Rekindling IRC, just to pump out my Stardusts or Red Dragon Archfiends, and then go Super Saiyan with Majestics, Assault Modes and Shooting Star or Red Nova. Man am I a sucker for cool dragons.
anyone else getting a nice ocd fix from the fact this video is exactly 20 mins?
oh cool there's a yellow ad thing where he starts going over neo flamvell
Flamvells can be worked in with Link Monster spamming, but then again, this is 2 years old and Link Monsters didn't get started as of this point in time.
Trading cards burning on an open fire. Hideki Hayakawa nipping at your nose.
12:10 Also I don't understand why Shaddoll Hedgehog isn't a tuner. It almost makes me wonder if Shaddoll Hedgehog was originally gonna be a corrupt Quillbolt Hedgehog.
Drew @ 2:49 i remeber that video man time is flying great vid btw rata hardleg joe brought me here
Welcome back rekindling
What if they had gone all in with Neo Flamvells banishing your opponent's graveyard?
Say, Garuda banishes not during the End Phase but on summon, and up to two or three cards for each Flamvell monster you control (or alternatively, have in your graveyard); the Shaman banishes up to four cards at once on destroying a monster by battle.
I literally lost my shit at the muffled scream XD Like I actually still laughing about it
Keep it up the good job, you...train person!
Ok i've been searching for it for years but no luck so I'm asking could anyone please give me a link or name of the scream sound effect here 7:55
Found it yet?
@@Createrz2015 Unfortunately no, The best thing I could advise is asking Rata himself
@@UltimateTomekHD apparently the sound effect is vegeta screaming in the abridged dragon ball series
Saw it from another comment
I Loved this Series. I wonder what's Next. I would love to See him Create What if Archetypes, Using Themes effects and Mechanics and Creating balanced and non broken Archetypes.
Thanks to you, I can't look at KA-2 Des Scissors the same ever again.
Fun Fact: Flamvell Poun was one of the first cards I got
Imagine if they got a card that searched a Rekindling in your graveyard.
Raise your hand if you're here after the new Flamvell support came out.
Flamvell Firedog is fuckin rad because one of those fuckers can potentially get you hazy flame hydra, aka two materials for basiltrice
Thanks for the video. I needed this after a looong night.
Next Time, on Support Report
My Good!!! arriving at home and i watch this. Made my day
I didn't think it was possible but you roasted things that were already on my mix tape
