Ive had two Abarths, a 135 bhp version in 2012 and a 140 bhp version in 2015. Such a great car for the money, and although less powerful than others, it more than makes up for it with the fun factor. They feel a lot quicker than the numbers suggest, and they are very light and agile. They have a lot more character than any other hot hatch apart from the Yaris GRMN in my opinion.
There's the Suzuki Swift Sport as a worthy rival. Most experts prefer it over the 595, though not all of them.

I had a 595 new in 2015 in the UK, and a lot of people dont realise they are a great all rounder, not just a weekend country road car. Excellent on motorway even with five speed box, used to sit at only about 2750 rpm at 70 mph. Used to commute in it, and do very long journeys no problem. There is the assumption you need a big car for longer trips, and to some degree yes if you want to waft along with little body movement and softer suspension but the little Abarth does just fine for going on holidays and days out.
Bought one today for the misses, I absolutely love it!!! We´ve had three Fiat 500 Lounge before but this is on another level!! So much fun and road presence for the money!

I have a 2012 595 Comp. 160bhp. I've owned an e46 m3 previously, and while the M3 is obviously faster, it cant beat the personality of the Abarth. Such a fun little car
RichyJam2011 remember Abarth it’s a 1.4l and weight less than the BMW, those tiny cars has a great potential and if you install some upgrades it will be a huge difference between BMW and the Abarth

I own a 500 Abarth and I have a couple updates on ti, like a down pipe, cold air intake, intercooler, maxpower pro, GOPedal, Alfa Romeo 4c ignition coils, and a racing plugs, first of all, the sound is better than a bmw, that’s for sure, and I didn’t said which bmw Abarth can beat, so don’t take it personal bro
@@ulisestrinidad5280 man I don't talk about the sound of the exhaust, I talk about horsepower and torque, I mean you can't have 300hp and 450nm with this 1.4L... and idk how many you got but be carefull with upgrade on a so little engine
Freaky 6Tem I know that man I appreciate your comments, but it’s not only the exhaust, the car is not heavy so any upgrades you do on it, you will feel the difference once you drive it, and yes you can have a 300hp there’s some abarth’s with 310hp that’s the most, but like I said the car it’s not heavy, I’m not saying you can beat a m5 but you can beat at least m2 with that tiny engine

This car seems to be tuned. The turbo pressure reaches a peak of almost 1.4 in full acceleration. Too much for the turismo stock. Anyway, nice video and very nice car.
