Loved this 3rd Ghostbusters film. They done the fans proud. R.I.P Harold.
This is a very loving, respectful, and thoughtful, continuation of the Ghostbuster franchise. I love that the 'torch' has been past, from Ivan Reitman, who directed the first two Ghostbusters movies, to his son Jason Reitman, who is a great director in his own right. Jason would never do anything to disrespect his Dad's work, unlike Paul Feig, the 'director' of the 2016 abomination, who bastardized all that came before it. I'm so ready to watch Ghostbusters 'Afterlife'.
I'd even go as far as to say the people making that movie weren't feminists, just assholes.
@@gonjafarma89 Trust me, Paul Feig is a male feminist of some sort. Like most SJWs, he is also an asshole. I feel for Jason Reitman, who has had to be extremely diplomatic in his comments.
@@patrickmusson4571 Definitely. The REAL third movie has true feminism behind it. The refreshing pink slime we needed, ya know.
@@gonjafarma89 Totally. I am all for true feminism, the feminism that uplifts women without denigrating men in order to accomplish it. True feminism respects that there are natural differences between men and women, for example, not pushing women to try to compete in men's sports and not allowing men to compete in women's sports, has proven to be disastrous. I love that McKenna Grace was chosen to be the granddaughter of Egon, and they made her up to look similar to Harold Ramis. I'm so looking forward to this movie.
Afterlife is awesome especially when (REDACTED) tears someone half at least I think that's wat happens lol

This trailer genuinely has a Spielberg feel to it. And I mean that as a huge compliment. It made me feel the magic of movie making.
Back from when Spielberg made good movies.
it has that wonder element that his movies used to have.
Also, in the trailer before this one, they show a scene of stranger things kid going inside of a shed at night by a cornfield, it looks like a homage to E.T
This trailer has put my mind at ease. I think this film will redeem Ghostbusters after the 2016 movie that shall not be named.

My dad is the reason I love Ghostbusters so damn much. Being 16 and knowing these references from the 80's movies feels good. Hearing Ray say "We're Closed" just goes to show that the O.G. (Original Ghostbusters) aint miss a beat. The last time he said that was in Ghostbusters 2 in his little library (Ray's Occult Books).
Did you catch the reference when she says “Egon came out here for a reason”?? I am so excited for this movie!!
When I was very little, I used to be afraid of watching scary movies and going on scary rides. It wasn't until I was about 6 when all that changed, thanks to my first ride on Disneyland's Haunted Mansion, and with my (late) grandpa, watched the original Ghostbusters. I had so much fun rooting for the team and watching them take down Gozer the Traveler, and to this day Ghostbusters holds a special place in my soul because of that.
I try not to give the girls who played the 2016 reboot a load of flak because I know bloody well that it is the studio and the writers behind the reboot that made it into a load of garbage, not the actresses. That being said, when I heard that a third installment was being made for the OG timeline, I didn't have my hopes up. Now I do. Seeing Jeanine at the farmhouse, the use of the old commercials from the '80s, and of course, Ray at his occult book store, makes me realize that this is going to be nothing like the 2016 version. This is going to end the way it all started.
"The Traveler has come..."
I'm 15 and yes, I love my dad so much for introducing me to all the 70-90s culture. Things like Ghostbusters, back to the future, jurassic park, all that type of culture. I love it and weirdly owe it to him.
Your dad sounds like a pretty smart guy.
What an absolutely beautiful loving tribute to Harold Ramis this was,I'll be watching this movie forever
Ghostbusters! Ghostbusters! Ghostbusters!
It’s nostalgia overload the whole way through while paving the way for the generations to come. It’s a great movie with a great cast that serves to entertain those of us who loved the original two films and for kids to enjoy today and in the future. Ignore the critics that like to shout Macbeth from the rooftops. Go see it!
Glad they more or less deleted the last movie from existence though through this third part in what I would now call the Ghostbusters trilogy. 10/10.
This brings me to tears. My mother passed away 2 years ago in November. Just before she died the trailer came out. I had Ernie Hudson make her a cameo ghostbusters video for her. It was the last thing I got to give her. That night she passed away. We wanted to see this movie together. We shared a great love for Ghostbusters. It pains me that Im not able to see this with her in theaters like we planned but I will be seeing this for her!
Talk to her, tell her you're going and you'd like her to be with you. That's what I do. I was surprised at the 'signs' I received when I started doing that.
I'm actually excited for a new Ghostbusters movie
Every trailer makes me more and more giddy. We’ve been hungry for a movie like this since COVID.

To the filmmaker The last 15 minutes really made me cry in joy for the sentimental value thank you very much for bringing my childhood back thank you from the bottom of my heart
I didn't know about Harold, but I thought it was so sweet how they credited him. 😢
That was Dan Aykroyd at the end saying ‘’ were closed ‘’ !!!! AWESOME!!!!
So Egon has the Master Ecto-Containment System Storage Facility installed in one of the most rural parts of America and 30 years later there's a breach. Who you gonna call?
Apparently Ray.
The ghost of Harold Ramis?

✅By Faith in the sacrifice God has made are we saved from the penalty of sin!

💜We are all sinners that need God. No one can say they are perfect to be able to pay their debt of sin. This is why only God could pay the penalty for us, that is merciful Love
I had an idea on the plot: Egon was trying to empty the Containment Unit into a crossrift that Ivo Shandor made way back when in that mine, to dispose of the captured ghosts permanently... but then he died before he completed the task. And now the containment unit is failing for lack of maintenance, and the rift is reacting to it. And then his daughter and grandkids on their last limb move out to his creepy old house...
@@Madcat221 "In English, Ray"
Funny how Finn wolfhard is in this and in stranger things he dressed up as a ghost buster character for Halloween
i think the same thing
HAHA YESSSSSSSSSSSSS
I hate how its been my dream to be a ghostbuster for 32 years and this kids done it twice now. Lol
Looks great and a real sequel. That bit at the end “ we’re closed” haha
For anyone doubting this movie. It will change your life!! It was FAWKING AWESOME 👏 !!!! I felt like a kid taking my kids to see this lol!
It would be with the price of admission to me, just to hear the Ecto-1 siren again
I think they had it in one of the teaser trailers
I just want one more "GHOSTBUSTERS, WHADDYA WANT?!?" from Jeanine.
That part!!
I was 11 when the first movie came out. Needless to say, the nostalgia feels are real!
It really does look good...can't wait.
Neither can I. The old cast and the new both look good :)
Hope I make it to relate to an memory movie or something like that ...
Saw the film the other night. It blew my expectations out of this world. I choked up when the old gang showed up.
This will be one of the first movies I purchase a hard copy for, in a long time.
Same here, bro, finally a good sequel worthy of the Ghostbusters brand
Never thought I'd enjoy a sequel as much as I enjoyed this one. They got so many things right with this one! Even brought a tear to this old fans eyes! More of this! ❤
This looks like it's actually got some heart. Great trailer
It's Jason Reitman directing and with this one he's in his right element. Ever seen his "In God We Trust" short film? You should.
@@naynaynay324 And he is the son of Ivan Reitman who made the original Ghostbusters movies.
The original director's son is directing this. It definitely will be good
Ray's voice gave me the chills
OMG SAME!!
The whole trailer gave me chills. :)
I'm already excited for this trailer. 👍
SO many easter eggs and homage to first film. The best buy scene was call back to zuu chasing this dude out the building in the first film.
Same dude, feels so good this nostalgia running through my veins 🥰🥰🥰.
Watched it today! It was PURE JOY! Easily in my top 10 2021 movies PERIOD!!!!
The last time I cried during a movie is at the end of Short Circuit when I thought they blew up Number 5. I was 6 years old. I’m now 42 and tearing up at the trailer of this movie, and all of the love and memories I have of the first two. I need it to be what we all hope it is.
1:25 Are you troubled by strange noises in the middle of the night?
Finn: Eh, I’ve heard stranger things.
This made me laugh way more than it should have. LOL
UNDERRATED COMMENT.
Great comment, you sir have won today's daily internet, congratulations your very own Slimer plushie is now on its way to you in the post!!
Shut up and take my like.
That girl is the perfect casting for Egons granddaughter
Amazingly she looks quite different normally. They managed to see something in her face that would get close to Egon after changing her hair and putting on the glasses.
@@jedijones Definitely, certainly a breaking the typecast mold that Mckenna Grace could be usually looked at
Right, you see here, you just know she must be related to him.
@@jedijones The physical transformation remarkable. Although looking her up and seeing that she played Paige on Young Sheldon, it doesn't surprise me; she's done quite well with that part and I'm not sure it's a _huge_ departure.
@@stargazer1682 I am not a ghostbuster fan but this movie looks interesting
Masterpiece of a movie
RIP Harold Ramis
The ghost trap with wheels looks so amazing, and it's a really great concept!
I get said to think Harold Ramis isn’t here to be a part of this, but I love the way he is such an integral part of this.
It’s clear now that Bill Murray & Ernie Hudson are big parts as well.
Just brilliant.
They’re using his script, and that’s enough to make him proud.
I'm calling it and guessing Phoebe chooses Egon as the form of the Traveller.
Egon will appear at the end as a angel or a golden ghost and wave goodbye to the original cast and the fans.
Seeing Ernie Hudson kick ass in this will be a dream come true. Winston got the short shaft in that first one, I'm glad he's getting his due.
We know these are egon and Janine grandkids
I’m 99 per cent sure Peter and Dana Barrett are together, while Peter is the mayor of nyc or running the world of psychic show

Well, I guess that makes the third film non-canon (Yes, I am talking about the videogame, because we all know there are only two films and a videogame)
@@Psyrgery not sure on if the video game will be canonized in this movie. While the “Spengler” neutrona wand they released last year *does* have the alternative fire modes from the game, that was said to be a nod to the fans rather than a function from the new movie.
I love it. Ray kept the phone number on for almost 40 years
Just watched it. Adults and Children both loved it. Many thanks for making this.
This is the chosen one, it will return balance to the force.
I pray to Zuul this isn't another prophecy misread .
