First step: have crazy long lashes naturally
I never had crazy long lashes. Lashboost gave me the lashes you see in this video. It’s an amazing product!

Seriously, lash boosters, the right ones, work like that. I barely had lashes and now they're almost as long as hers. However I made my own, it's easy and all natural and the same things they use in expensive boosters. I mix Castor Oil, Almond Oil and Biotin. That's it. I just use an eyeliner brush to apply it to my roots then wipe it up the lashes to make them thicker. I also made a larger bottle of it for my hair and it's grown fast. Lash Boosters though add things to make it absorb. I use a little eye relaxers vibrate/warmer after I put it on, then use it to make it absorb better. I use it for all my eye products to make them absorb. It's called a Sonic Massaging Wand.

@@angelsndaisies6188 I tried that recipe for a couple of years and it didn't work. Lash Boost is the only thing that works for me (I'm 40) and for my 70 year old mom. Lash Boost was created by 2 female doctors at Stanford they discovered that the chemicals used in an eye medication that's applied to the lash line for folks with Glaucoma caused a secondary reaction i.e. super long, thick and darker lashes. They took that info and created Lash Boost which is full of peptides and enzymes and a bunch of proprietary chemicals. Biotin is great taken orally in conjunction with Keratin and Bamboo supplements which I also take. Lash Boost does not depend upon Castor oil or Almond oil for its efficacy-I can't stress that enough. I am not an R&F representative but I have done a ton of research on the subject and thought I would share with you all. Also if you are going to use castor oil on your skin and eyeline make sure its cold pressed, Hexane free and stored in an amber or dark glass bottle.

I use a generic of Lattise and it works wonderfully. I do wonder about it altering the color of my blue eyes.. but I haven't noticed anything after 2 years. After chemo I lost hair, eyebrows and eyelashes. Now I have my long hair same eyebrows and long eyelashes again. I need to see what the active ingredient is in your product, but I buy the generic so cheaply. I can't stand wearing falsies because they don't look as good as my real lashes and are a pain to put on. JMO. Great video Shayna. Good bless. xo

I saw somebody comment that the doctors who made Lashboost were the ones that discovered lash lengthing from glaucoma meds.
(Which I know is wrong.) That's how latisse came about. And prostaglandin is the actual ingredient that makes the lashes grow (from glaucoma meds) I dunno. Other women are saying the stuff works. (Looked at the ingredient list and I didn't see the prost so I really don't know.) But for 155? Really? Ugh. (I'm assuming you use Careprost?)

Girl, you are not ridiculous for not wanting to use products that companies test on animals. I feel the exact same. You are so right- there is no reason for a cosmetic company to test on/torture animals... I applaud you for acting on your ethics. Also, it's because people like us are taking a stand against this cruelty that brands are finally starting to transition to cruelty-free and vegan products!
I meant ridiculous to be using a blow dryer to curl my lashes 😂😂 I definitely don’t think using products that aren’t tested on animals is ridiculous... that is super important to me. Sorry if that was confusing!
You might want to double-check her comment about L'Oréal.
This is what I've learned:
In 1989, L'Oréal completely ceased testing its products on animals, thus 14 years before the regulation required so. Today, L'Oréal no longer tests its ingredients on animals and no longer tolerates any exception to this rule.
Loreal is NOT CRUELTY FREE as of 2023. Google them.

Melissa Carden yes!!!! Exactly!! I have certainly been guilty of using animal cruelty products in the past. I still have some that I’m just using until it’s empty and I’ll never purchase again. I absolutely use every one of your techniques. I even swear by the comb mascara brushes and I use an old one that was discontinued with another mascara just like you. I've never seen anyone else do it like I do it so it was really cool to see you do it too. Everyone thinks I wear false lashes bc mine are always so long. I'm like nope they're all mine, LOL. The mascara I use is the maybelline full n soft. And then clique mascara on top it. The combination of the two work amazing together.

Another tip is to use only waterproof mascara on curled lashes. Waterproof formulas are made with a higher oil to water ratio, designed to prevent it from melting off your face. It works to lock your lashes into a curl. Think of it like what hairspray does to lock in a curl. You know what happens if you wet a curl with water...same thing with regular, water based mascara. Straightens the curl right back out so water proof is the way to go. :)

You have a terrific personality! So real, fun, and just yourself. It is so great that you care about animal testing and dont buy animal tested products. Your eyelashes are amazing! A very enjoyable video. And you are so funny.
If you’re not really feelin the whole blow dryer thing... you can always use a flat iron or any other small hot device and hold it up to the curler just be careful to not burn your eye lids. Also, be sure to use a build able type mascara! And don’t let the lashes dry between layers. If your mascara seems to be running low and getting sticky, hold the mascara tube in between the flat iron and the heat will melt the remaining mascara off the sides of the tube and it’ll run down to the bottom of the tube and the bottom of the wand Aka where the brush is and the heated mascara will apply like its brand new all over again! I found that to be way more useful than putting the tube in the freezer like some other videos have suggested. I’m a huge eye lash fan! The natural ones! So I got mascara ‘hacks’ for dayssss lol. I attempted the part where she says to put some powder foundation on the wet mascara and then build on top of that but idk it looked really Cakey to me and I didn’t like it. Some people have said to put Vaseline on the eyelashes at night but I believe using cocoanut oil to be more useful and healthier ingredients with less irritation to the eye lids. But anyways, if you guys find out some other mascara/eyelash hacks that work lmk!:)

Also, use a spoolie to get mascara and liquid liner off. A spoolie is what you use to comb your eyebrows with. It takes it right off without messing up your eyeshadow or makeup... And you don't even need to press hard at all. Just brush it very gently where the unwanted mistake is and it comes right off. Because you can still see a smudge after she used the q-tip, and it also rubbed off some of her eye shadow. Plus it's a waste of q-tips.. when you already have a spoolie. 😁
I was also blessed with natural full and black lashes, was like that as a baby! Lol. And I never have to use all these techniques... I just start my mascara lightly just exactly where they grow out, and I press upward as much as I can and wiggle it. Then I just work on the end of my lashes because if you do step one too many times it will be cakey and a mess.

Ive been heating mine with a lighter for 20 years lol plus it disinfects it and warms it up. Test on wrist before. Also curl root, middle and end for nicer curl

De Anna I feel like they changed the formula on the voluminous mascara. I’ve been using it for years and all of a sudden it irritates my eyes. It irritates my sister too. It was such a great mascara 😥
@@nanitaylor8073 I use the 'basic black'. There's been a couple of times I tried the darker blacks and I didn't like them as much. But I think overall Loreal has great mascaras. I love that I can layer my lashes and it looks full without being clumpy and spider like and the formula is so soft. That sucks it quit working as well for you, I hate when that happens to a product you enjoy.

What's the purpose of heating the curler . never did it.
Will it stop these new fangled curlers from pinching my face. All of the sudden they are too big.? If they made them with a spring, like the one I used for a long time it wouldn't pinch. And the darn thing is too big. It makes no sense. I still have one from even further back and that's smaller too. Have to sterilize it and try it. But think it's warn out.
I have medium size eyelashes but still after applying mascara my eyelashes reaches till the bottom of my eyebrows

Cindy White I actually don't. I mix mascara up. I'll use my favorite mascara then use Younique gel. put the fibers on and build them up with the Younique gel and whatever mascara I'm loving at the moment. I use setting spray also. I'm terrible at making a mess while applying it though lol
Tiffany Smith I tried it again today - I used my favorite mascara then I used the Younique mascara and fibers, then used my favorite mascara again on top to complete the routine - NO flaky fibers all day, YAYYYYYYY!!!
