Well Roger I just came home after I visited Mr Patina for his birthday and we just had a long talk about my videos. And he stated that it's sometimes hard to follow my visuals regardless the comments, since I'm too far on the macro shots. So it would be nice to hear your feedback as well

I'm amazed at the transformations you bring to the rusted, tarnished, broken and mostly unusable items on each project. @@NTRprojects Sorry, hat etwas länger gedauert. Bei 16:55 sieht es so aus, als hättest du zur "Vernietung" einen Körner genommen. Entsprechend scharfkantig sieht die Verbindung nachher aus. Eine konvexes Werkzeug lässt die bearbeitete Fläche weniger schroff aussehen. Ich habe dafür einen abgebrochenen Splinttreiber abgerundet. Ich weiss, für eine Verbindung, die man später nicht sieht... Aber das ist mir beim ersten Anschauen halt aufgefallen, da der Rest im Kontrast eine so hohe Qualität hatte ;)

I had no idea that a grinding wheel could be (or even needed to be) sharpened/restored. And I just love that noise when it spins. I'm so glad that the restoration didn't change that sound!
I've just discovered your channel, amazing restorations and good to see the great work you've done on your basement. With respect, I'd like to make a small suggestion? On the part of the video where you're wet sanding from 400-800 grit, the screen goes dark and light rapidly. You can stop this from happening by changing a setting on your camera: Fixed Exposure. It will keep the same light settings for the whole shot and will alleviate any dark/light changes caused by moving light objects, in this case it is your hand. Love from England
I have a grinder that looks VERY similar to this one. It was my dad's. He used it all my life and I'm over 70. It hangs in my shop and probably needs restoration, but at least it is not rusty, yet. You did a wonderful job on this and I like the restoration of the grinding wheel.
May I say, fantastic work! And a huge thank you for not having music playing during the restoration work. I don't mind it in the reveal, as that is fairly short. Just as a suggestion - have you considered what we call in these parts, a lazy Susan for your paint booth? Also called a turntable.

Hast Du da auch über einen massiven Kerbstift nachgedacht? An das "Aufweiten" des Endes der Hauptwelle und der Welle, die den Griff hält, hätte ich mich nicht herangewagt, da wäre ich gescheitert. I know it's built into the original piece & there's nothing you can do about it, but 19:35 seeing that angle on the table would bug me forever. On a side note, when you quench in oil, aren't you supposed to shake the thing?
You shake it when the geometry is complex, so there is no air trapped, because that would affect the surface continuity of the bluing. But since it was only a round piece, there was no need to risk a burning ;) but good observation. Nice you came and leave such a nice and thoughtful comment

I use corundum when the paint is thick or the parts are not that delicate...and sometimes when I'm out of glasperls. I need to look up the hardness but corundum is perfect for blasting and used in general the most time

yeah thats a great idea. I installed turnable hooks on the top, but a turntable is also a very good idea. Will look into it
